Wasn't there a barfight out in Grand Forks a few years ago that involved Sioux hockey players? And Matt Frattin has been arrested twice, one of them was a drunk-driving incident. Most schools would enforce a ZERO TOLERANCE policy, but Frattin could get arrested 2 more times and still would be allowed on the team.

I love the "got lucky" argument... as if there isn't a concrete mathematical formula used to determine the field. UW won the pairwise comparisons to get in. While they certainly earned a trip to the NCAAs, MSU-M didn't win enough non-conference games to swing the comparisons their way, and they sat out the tourney. It stinks, but its the way the numbers worked out.

2) Hard to imagine a team being lucky to win such a one sided game as UW-DU in the first round.

for the record...im a gophs fan. but i was at the regional tourny and i wasnt impressed with wisconsin. if you watch the game a majority of their goals were scored on breakaways. they did not outplay denver they just had some pretty fast forwards..and they did a great job of exploiting the denver d. for the most part all these teams are equal its a matter of a few bounces/posts and that can make all the difference. i would still take denver 9 times out of 10 in that game though
