@LegalyBlondwp Can't remember if I tuned it up to concert pitch or not? But I know the version I learned from was in A. Maybe they tune down a semitone - it's fairly common practice. Saves the singer's voice.

I know I've seen this guy teach before on other utube how-to guitar posts. You know this dude knows how to wail just by the way he mock strums in the drum transition and his overal rhythm.

Any new guitar player learning, look at simple chords like this and the strumming/rhythm feel/groove - everything else falls into place -Awesome post flogbag!

For the heavier bit you might want to try a power chord with the base on the A of your 6th string. It sounds pretty much the same, has a bit of a heavier tone, and goes a little easier with the other two.

You'd have to be pretty bad to have trouble with this, but he is over complicating it.

It isn't an A. Blues uses mainly 5ths. This is no exception. You'll probably find that the full chord would be Am, but here you play A5. Traditionally in blues this would be the second fret on the D and G strings.

From there on just go with your ear. It's real basic, and if you have trouble with it you badly need some serious practice.
