  • All of the recent studies have proven there is NO genetic link for addiction, that being said, addiction can be a learned behavior..

  • It's not a Disease it's just an excuse to do it, and since you brought up God in the video I will direct you to 1 Corinthians 10:13 please look it up, read it over and over till you get it, you always have choice.

  • cool. just read it :) pretty awesome.

and what do you mean "its just an excuse to do it"?

  • An excuse to drink or do drugs in my case, if it's a disease then I believe it takes away that personal accountability for your own choices, basically saying, its not my fault I got really drunk last night, have a disease, We are not powerless against it, and to me thats what 1Cor 10:13 is all about, choice and Gods so good there will always be a way out.

I always tell my self now, its not like anyone put a gun to my head, and said do this or else, and even if they did I still have a choice

  • awesome. so do you drink, smoke, do drugs?

  • I still drink now and then. I was using hard drugs pretty heavy for a while, but I havn't done Any drugs for about 6 years now, and things going are much better :)

  • I am an Alcoholic and yes its a desease and even if people (who usually have not this condition) claim that is not passed on genetically, I asure u it does. If you would like to have more information send me an e mail

  • It is NOT a disease! It is NOT passed on genetically. The disposition to become an alcoholic( this means its easy for you) can be genetic, same as obesity. There is a difference. You can't become an alcoholic without DECIDING to drink. Without DECIDING to not get help and stop. Its a choice, same as ANY addiction.
