Dio's timbre - like Daltrey's, like Coverdale's - is singular, instantly recognizable and forcefully adamant. Farnham's single "You're The Voice" should have been dedicated to DIO.

so i'm sitting here watching black sabbath vids, which leads to dio vids, which leads to rainbow vids. today is the summer solstice... the sky turns black and a thunder storm rolls thru. when i get to this vid there's a break in the storm so i step outside to check on things. i see the most brilliant rainbow i've ever seen. end to end. it doesn't look real. the sky is blue gray with white cumulus clouds behind it and the setting sun illuminates deep rich rainbow colors. rip ronnie.

but after a while my music taste developed more into the harder speed and thrash metal bands but i allways had and eye on Ronnies work and i saw him at the Last in Line tour in Germany and the last time i saw him was at the Rock Hard Festival in 2006 in Germany, and it was like a visit from a friend you lost contact with over the years, but i was like you meet him last week i was 2 hours that child sitting in my room and had a vist from my friend Ronnie:-)

I asked my english teacher in school about the lyrics and i was sitting in my room and watched the cover and was fantasizing about the subject of Gates of Babylon.

I almost forgot how good this was/is. I bought the album when i was 8 years old by accident. Because of the album cover, i thought that i would contain some kind of fairytale storys, and infact it did!

But in a diffrent way, i could not stop listen to gates of babylon and i played the record all day long and my mom start to yelling at me to stop it, and i was totaly Hypnotized by Ronnie's voice and Ritchies guitar.
