  • LOL at Geddy at 00:40.

  • i still think this is one of his best solos.... fucking ACE!!!

  • DUDE. Listening to Peart drum like that, I almost soiled myself....

  • Alex Lifeson is CRIMINALLY underrated.

I would put him the top 5 guitars of all time, above the two most overrated guitarists, Van Halen and Hendrix.

  • agreed

  • I'm afraid that I'm going to have to disagree with jugger99777. Neil Peart is not a god. Gods wish they could be Neil Peart...

  • Awesome!!!

    Rush is great band!!

  • big money take from the rich and give to the poor goverment obama 2009

  • Niel peart uses thunderclouds for toilet paper. Niel peart charges headfirst into the sun. niel walks the razor's edge with only a drumstick for a balancing rod..

    NIEL PEART = GOD

  • wow not alot of views on this one. This is one of my favorite songs by Rush and I have a lot of favorites! Love the bass in this

  • Rush "Delivers," eachnand every time.

No postage, or charge, ever due!!!!!!

  • Neil simply isn't human.

  • Buddy rich isn't human.

  • When you see Rush on dvd or shows, you know that thay can play and know humor!

    Rush Rule!

  • 5:38 D'oh! a deer! a female deer!

  • is that from the simpsons? that sounded like homer, lisa and marge.

  • Yes.

  • I LOVE THIS BAND!!!!! They are the best. I hope they dont retire anytime soon!!!

  • Big Money Goes around the world! it sure does and happy late late late B-Day 2 Geddy Lee 55 yrs old and still rockin like he was 20!

  • This is true ROCK!

  • now that's a hard workin Canadian band. They do laundry while performing.

Though, I'm sure they're using phosphate-free soap eh!

  • Why they put "Dohhhh!!!" on the end of the song? Rush are gods!!! jajajaja!

  • Homer Simpson: Doh!

    Lisa: A deer!

    Marge: A Female deer!

Rush is the most humorously Canadian (eh) of all the rock bands on the face of the earth! They added other famous voices to their shows; the Simpsons, Jerry Stiller, South Park, etc. Just ask the band from Canada for Canada.

  • On top of that, what drummer ends their song with a 16th note double bass roll????

    5:54

    NEIL THATS WHO

  • that note at 3:30 is magic

  • totally AGREE!!!

  • I also like the note played a 2:50. It just goes to show you what happens when a perfect chord is played.

  • Spot on!

  • A late happy birthday to Geddy{July 29th}

  • I just realized that the drums seem almost passive in parts of this song, ya know? It's really driven by the guitar and bass.

  • am i the only one who thinks their 80's catalog is grossly underrated? Signals through Hold Your Fire i feel is some of their most creative work, Power Windows in particular.

and you're right, the whammy bar is what makes this song. i've tried to play songs from Power Windows without a whammy bar and it just doesn't sound the same. a lot of the character is lost.

  • What I like is Alex's liberal use of the whammy bar. It almost seems like the whammy bar has gone out of use in the pastt few years, ya know? S'good to see a man use it.

  • Yeah, he does not abuse it like others. I wish he would play his "Signature". He helped design that particular guitar during the Hold Your Fire days (1987)... beautiful guitars... but quite expensive. Floyd Rose and EMG p/ups... Google "Signature Guitar Company".

  • i love the double bass drum, at the end

  • wow geddys fender really adds alot of girth to the bass line i like his other bass on this song

  • big money hold a price...sickk lyrics

  • This is an AWESOME Performance...... RUSH RULES!!! It is unfortunate that I didn't hear about them until this single came out in late 1985 (I was only eight years old). At least I became a fan at one time or another.... right! It is fun to see Neil playing all of those drums!

  • always amazed at geddy being able to sing and play such complex bass parts at the same time

  • its a little thing called practice

  • "its a little thing called" GIFT

  • Well It Is Practice.

But Being A Ass Isnt Necessary

    =]

  • awesome! woulda been a little cooler with Geddy's Wal Bass, but whatever! IT'S STILL AWESOME!

  • The Rio distortion is epic.

    It defines punchy bass.

  • I Like It.

Does Anyone Know What Type Of Distortion He Used?

  • Well, his setup is so complex, but BASICALLY just simple distortion w/ alot of chorus. In this song his guitar is tuned UP to F#, B, E, A, C#, F#. If you do not want to break strings, use a Capo on the 2nd fret. Otherwise, he probably uses an Octave pedal.

  • I Never Thought Of My Capo

    =[

    I Use 12 Gauge Strings.

  • Totally awesome :D <3

  • RIO "ROCK"!!!!
