am i the only one who thinks their 80's catalog is grossly underrated? Signals through Hold Your Fire i feel is some of their most creative work, Power Windows in particular.

and you're right, the whammy bar is what makes this song. i've tried to play songs from Power Windows without a whammy bar and it just doesn't sound the same. a lot of the character is lost.

Yeah, he does not abuse it like others. I wish he would play his "Signature". He helped design that particular guitar during the Hold Your Fire days (1987)... beautiful guitars... but quite expensive. Floyd Rose and EMG p/ups... Google "Signature Guitar Company".

This is an AWESOME Performance...... RUSH RULES!!! It is unfortunate that I didn't hear about them until this single came out in late 1985 (I was only eight years old). At least I became a fan at one time or another.... right! It is fun to see Neil playing all of those drums!

Well, his setup is so complex, but BASICALLY just simple distortion w/ alot of chorus. In this song his guitar is tuned UP to F#, B, E, A, C#, F#. If you do not want to break strings, use a Capo on the 2nd fret. Otherwise, he probably uses an Octave pedal.
