I just overcame one at 22 because I felt like people have always looked down on me all my life and that took a huge toll on my self-esteem where I felt like I wasn't good enough to be apart of this world and be successful but I had to learn that the weak ones are the people who don't stand by you throughout your journey in life. @PopCulture20 I overcame depression since become a deist. My previous religion taught me to be ashamed of my so-called sins. From the age of 19 to 22 i woke up everyday thinking "fuck like", and went to sleep saying "i hate life". I did not speak to my mother for years.

But now my mom is my best friend again. My siblings notice the change too and we finally talk to each other. Now when i wake up im always saying "i love life". If you wanna speak more, u can send me a pm.

@jigglyfidda125 Religion taugt me to be ashamed of my personality, sexuality, and passions. Another thing that helped me overcome depression was learning about cosmology. Learning about the grand scheme of things, and learning about our place in the universe, multiverses etc. made me realize how insignificant my issues were.

Its incredible how learning basic facts about science can lift your mood.
