  • Don't cry. We're from the BBC. It's just a historical reenactment

  • Its really wrong "I like to watch children play..."

  • Notice he grabs a kid, throws him in a burlap sack, tells him to stop crying, then returns him to his parents... Soooo.... Reverse kidnapping?

  • "I love watching kids play, who doesnt." and I

love the placard that says "We Love Simon Shama"

  • Does anyone have the vikings one where he drinks too much mead, goes to IKEA and throws up? Priceless!

  • Funny stuff, remember this when it 1st came out. The one about bonny prince charlie is funny, when he takes one look at Derby: "nah, this is s**t" and then walks back in train station, hilarious! and the fact i live in Derby :P

  • does anyone have the battle of hastings episode? if so get it up ! :)

  • 'like a historical zombie... scary. but informative'

  • I loved this show so much when it was first on! It was what made me a Brigstocke fan. My fave bit was in the episode where he compared the Civil War to a fried breakfast.

  • That's rather good, that - I must have missed it when it aired...

  • What's that book at the end?

  • Its a book by Simon Schama, he's a historian who has had his own TV series.

  • So it is.

    History of Britain Volume 2.

    That's actually quite sweet.

    Thank you harpdevil.

    Thank you.

  • No problem at all :)

Well look at that, youtube comments being constructive rather than just randomly bashing stuff that have nothing to do with the video :P

  • they are corkers

  • anyone got any more of these??? the battle of hastings one is the best one!!!

  • LoL Brigstocke's hair is SO DAMN BIG! XDDD

  • I love this esp the robin hood one if anyone saw it!

  • Yes! "Apart from things weve learnt from films, the only facts we have about robbin hood are that he wore green tights, and had an american accent"

  • interesting!

  • If you want We Are History released on DVD theres a contact bit on Marcus Brigstocke's webite to request it

On the site it says: we will make sure you the first to know once it is released. Keep requests coming - the more we get the sooner it will be released.

  • the past has come to life like some sort of history zombie...scary but informative

  • Fantastic stuff! We need more episodes uploading; can't believe these have never been repeated on the telly... You've got to love David Oxley!

  • Excellent!

  • This really was a gem of comedy back then. Briefly shown, but hilarious.
