How useful is Logic Pro compared to any other program? Just curious, because I've been a Reason and Ableton user for about a couple of months, and I've managed to make a few dubstep tracks. Is it more complex?
i cant open the patch either but thats not a big deal its easy to do your self. just pause the video and adjust yours to math his. I was wondering tho, if i take of LFO2 and put on the auto filter it seems to lose that vocal touch what am i doing wrong?
I downloaded the link to the complete reset but it's not sounding as dirty as yours, did i not download it correctly? I have express and I'm wondering if that's affecting it
@samshrieve if your complete reset patch doesnt sound like mine does its probably because the screen recording program i use records what comes out of my computer speakers because of the mic as well as the computer audio before its sent out. Because its getting the same sound twice phaze would make the sound recorded sound grittier. If you want it grittier just pop an overdrive plugin on the track before the bitcrusher :) big love guys JB
Favorited the video not so much for the tutorial (not that it was bad, it was a great tutorial) but for what you said bro, if people wanna follow a tutorial to make sounds like other artists, they can at least take the concept and make it their own somehow haha you know?
Cheers the tutorial really helped, although i've downloaded the complete reset patch and now have no clue as to how to get it into logic.. everytime i try it says that it can't be opened.. I assume this is because logic is trying to read it like a project file.. what do i do? Cheers!
Firstly thanks for the tutorial, it was helpful. However I have to say the whole 'Youre not being original' thing got annoying. The reason people look for tutorials like this is not because they want to rip off a sound and recreate it exactly, it's because they want the knowledge of how it's done so that they use it to create their own sounds.
I mean putting an LFO on a bass to create wobble is not original, but without the knowledge of how to do it Dr P wouldn't have come up with this sound.
@AdrienChaos Ok what the absolute fuck. Im here putting tutorials on in my own time which have obviously helped you. I dont appreciate someone who doesnt know me kicking off over you tube thanks. If you dont like what ive done do your own. If id have not said all that stuff about being original id probably be getting a comment of someone like you saying i should be original. Cant win really.
@THEJBUK And I am not saying it's bad, or that your sound is bad, it sounds great I love it. I am just saying that all of the "You're unoriginal" And "Since you're unoriginal" talk is just cocky bullshit. I love the video, it helped a lot, but you're just being somewhat of an ass in it. I am not saying you aren't original, I never said that. I haven't even heard any of your music. Since you're all about being original, I am convinced that your music is original.
And it started with me not even knowing how to make a dubstep wobble. I didn't search on youtube looking for certain sounds, because I am not even familiar with different styles.
I spent a year on one style of bassline.. I can do noisia, spor, calyx.. masslines, stablines.. the lot. but I forgot about simple wobbles and making those sound as good as flux/rusko/doctor p/nero/zeds dead/the rest.. thanks for this tutorial.. I reckon I'm gonna record my voice over this style and make that wobble.. trying to get that skrillex sound!
haha good stuff man. its not what keys you press its what they express, brilliant. videos are great. Your attitude is bang on when it comes to originality. I just dont know how to use all the tools / what half of them mean lol. so all your videos are teaching me,then I can play around more and more. you going to school for this?
try putting a vocal transformer plugin over your finished wobble and changing the formant for an even crazier sound... Makes it sound more human too :)

@gartholamewdoo Hay man sorry for the late reply. Go into finder and place the file here -
MACINTOSH HD > LIBRARY > APPLICATION SUPPORT > LOGIC > PLUG IN SETTINGS > ES2
Then when you open logic you can access the preset on es2' :) Hope this helped
