@truenorther : It was simply for the fun of telling other U2 fans what was the situation, since no announcement had been made even if Montréal area U2 fans could only guess the one or two sites where the show(s) would take place. And I was excited since U2 almost passed on Montréal on that tour, so why not transmitting it to other fans and not just get clicks for my video by putting the name "U2" on the title. I am counting down the days for sure. I have general admission tickets for both shows . Now I'm wondering WHO WILL BE OPENING FOR THEM? My wish list includes ARCADE FIRE or maybe the Killers I saw Arcade Fire on the vertigo tour with them Nov 28th 2004 I think it was what an awesome show . Bonne année 2010 à vous aussi! No more important news about both shows at the Hippodrome have gone out since the second show have quickly sold out. I'm still waiting for an answer about the information Nicholas9889 heard that at least one of the 2 shows would be filmed. Be sure that I will post any significant news I'll hear or read about it, even if I doubt there will be much (maybe the opening act in early 2010) before they start building that temporary site next May. You've just learned me that one (or it could be both) of the 2 concerts at the Hippodrome will be filmed because I haven't surfed on the internet or talked to other U2 fans this last week since I've been rather busy. So I've just started checking local media or other websites but the only recent news are about all remaing tickets for the 2nd show being sold in 30 minutes! If I learned something about it before you do, I will of course post another message. Thanks and have a good night!

Thanks for the kind words. I went to the Bell Center this morning (nov. 21st) and got lucky in the bracelets' draw. My number was in the first 30 so I finally managed to pick up general admission tickets as well! As I expected, there's going to be another show on July the 17th and the main security guard said that tickets will be on sale on Nov. 30th (Monday). So I guess a few days before for the pre-sale if you're a member of the U2 website. Enjoy your visit and your show next July!

17 novembre 2009:Le site de l'Hippodrome a finalement été choisi et sera transformé au coût de 3 à 4 millions de dollars payés par U2! Je crois donc qu'il y aura probablement un 2e spectacle le 17 ou le 15 juillet (et pourquoi pas le 15 et le 17!) / The Hippodrome site has finally been chosen and will be transformed for $3-4 million paid by U2! Therefore I think theres's gonna be a 2nd show (and why not a 3rd!) on the 17th or the 15th of July. (previous:12th Phily, next:19th NY)
