something i've found that works great for shaving is moisturizing shampoo. i usually do it when i'm in the shower. apply shampoo to your face, and let it lather up, and it's a great smooth shave.

Instead of using a shaving cream or shaving gel I just use aloe gel. No water on my face before or after. And rinse my razor very frequently in cold water. Works like a charm. I fought with razor burn and ingrown hairs all my life until I tried this.

Any recommendations for men with really sensitive skin? For example, I was told that shaving gels and most aerosols have chemicals and alcohol which dry out the skin, which is really bad news for someone like me who has rosacea. Any recommendations on shaving soaps or if my current blade (Mach 3) is no good? I've been told that I might have to go with a safety razor or even a straight razor given how sensitive my skin is.

Really enjoy the videos. Great job. I only wanted to say 1 thing, I watched some Gillette videos and they say never to tap your razor on the side of the sink as it can move the blades slightly out of place and alter the shave you'll receive. They say to rinse under water and then shake the razor in the air vigorously in the direction of the sink to get rid of loose hairs.

i use to get razor bumps occasionally, but then I started shaving with Neutrogena shaving cream and i stopped getting them. I change my blade every few days. A fresh blade will help prevent them to a degree.

Shaving oils do a great job of providing a smooth, slick surface for shaving, but I wouldn't use it alone. When I use a shaving oil, I always apply a shave cream over top.  Hope that helps, thanks for watching!

I find that shaving oils is really good when you are trying to design beards (like trying to follow your jawline) or in general when you are shaping facial hair.

@MensSkinCareWithRoss Very overpriced. Fusion and Proglide are really bad for many people; like people who are baby faced or of ethnic origin (more likely to have in grown hairs). The more blades the more likely hairs are literally pulled out of the skin which causes in grown hairs. But different things work for different people. I found that going with Gillette Custom Plus disposables are a cheap and very good option. As long as you cleanse and soothe your face like you said you'll be fine.
