@ringopony - If you only have the base game it will turn blue. Are you sure you downloaded dragon slaves textures? I have a new version coming soon, that has a saddled version and bareback, but it's not quite ready yet.

@TheSadness4ever - you have to enable custom content for it to work, have you installed other custom items before? There is a help section on the Mod the Sims site, and on SimSafe2 under FAQs.

No, the PS2 version is not moddable. Get the PC versions and the expansion packs, it's a much better game.

the thing is with these horses ( amazing as they are i've downloaded millions of them ) your sims has to stand by them and stay there for them to move. :( i do love them though... make awesome story shots.

You just click on the file and download it. If you use Foxfire...don't. Use IE for this, I've found it works the best for downloading these types of files. If you've downloaded it and it don't show up in your game you need to set the options to allow for custom content. You really need to explain better what your problem is.

You should see an extract option.

Or if you don't have the file open right click on the file and select the extract file then the where is the same directory I have above.

There is a free program that will extract rar files. It's called Alzip. Google it you'll find it.

you need to unrar it into your Sims 2\downloads directory found under your My Documents. If you don't have a downloads directory you will have to create one.

Example:

C:\Documents and Settings\Your Computer Name\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads

Replace Your Computer Name with the name of your computer.
