@auroraman56 im open to bel;ieve you but can you please tell me what your credentials are so and how you would know for a fact the Bible is just a myth,Thanks
@MrCoffeefreak2010 The fact that none of that stuff you mentioned has been shown to have ever occured. You don't have to have any credentials to be able to read the Bible and see that it's a bunch of BS that simply relies on "faith" and not evidence.
@WH1T3YHD I don't see why arguments with experimental evidence have less weight? All the sciences are "a posteriori" because it doesn't make claims it doesn't have support for
@CotyKelly There is no such thing as a 100% fact. 'facts' are based on lifetimes of experience, and if there was a change to this, say by a law of nature we never previously knew, then we'd probably call it a miracle. If this occurance happened again and again, then it would be seen as a fact as well. Never assume that something is completely infalliable This can only occur in the most basic of mathematica.
@WH1T3YHD You misunderstood what I said then or I didn't lay it out quite simple enough...It is a fact that evolution occurs and is proven. If there was a change then it would probably be viewed as new and proposed that it too happens given the same area and lifetime, not making it untrue, just adding more on. I never assume anything is infallible. Science, by its basic procedure, tries to prove itself wrong constantly as to gain more of the truth of whatever the subject may be.
@WH1T3YHD I'd also like to point out that even if "facts" are constantly improving on themselves (changing), it doesn't make them not the best explanation nor does it give any validity to anything unobservable.

If you quit today fooling people with your cheapest tricks and tell the world you regret doing it, you will at least be remembered in history as a last minute repenter. Or if you insist otherwise, one of the most laughable miserable hypocrites of all time!
The thing with Popof is amazing, even though he was a complete fraud, the magic here is in the people themselves, kinda like a placebo effect, they believe in him, therefore they believe theyre healed and i think the mind is a very powerful thing, and just may have the ability to heal.
@ACretens Surely the problem with Popoff is that a lot of people put their trust in this man over conventional medicine and subsequently died of preventable illnesses. As to having an effect on health I would presume he had no greater effect than a strong placebo. I haven't read any studies into cure rates though.
0:25 "I do have my supporters"... Mr Randi you have a huge base of supporters, and it's growing every day... people with rational minds who are not stupid and gullible to be taken in by so-called psychics and charlatans. Question: What do you call Uri Geller, John Edward, Sylvia Browne and 500 other lying scumbags chained to the bottom of the ocean? Answer: A damn good start.
Sooo; for one I'm surprised he was able to actually write a full BOOK with those typing skills? Second, I don't trust anyone who is afraid of narcotics. Hope you don't drink coffee either; because who knows maybe all that CAFFEINE is altering your reality...
fuck that really pisses me off sure maybe these people are accountable to there own delusion but manipulating and old feeble lad like that make me wish i had a and a Delorean and a chainsaw
@TheMrFappy I'd like to ask something of you; why did you feel it necessary to say that? You have no idea what I believe. In fact, for all you know, I could be a hard core atheist. But either way, why was it necessary to say such a scathing thing to me, when I was simply saying how much I disliked this horrible person who takes advantage of senile old women?
Uri Geller and his elk are despicable charlatans. There will always be people like him as long as there are idiots out there who don't use critical thinking, and that includes non-atheists.
People like this magic stuff because, as humans, we like to dream. We don't like the idea of "impossible" because inside, we all long to be free. As a result, we are drawn to these magicians, who personify this very idea of achieving the impossible, and giving us the idea or hope that maybe there's much more to this world, than what science and logic has trapped us with.

@band1tt That's what they did in The Tonight Show... Did you see the video? Duplicating the tricks were just examples, there's a whole book written about it.
@band1tt I'm sorry, but you cannot honestly believe that somehow, magically, this man can do these things with his own drawings and spoons, when he refuses to even give it a try when facing objects he hasn't prepared himself. If you do that, you are a retard, and should have all your tuition returned. If there really was magic, don't you think we'd see more than one douche performing it? Do you also check the walls for a portal to Hogwarts while waiting for the train?
@blindedby2monkeys Yes.. He stole an identity ..as an Illegal Alien he is facing 12 years in a Federal prison where he will cheat on randi each and every day!
People just want to believe in stupid shit. Faith healers are the worst of the worst. It just makes me sick that someone can con a bunch of sick old people out of millions of dollars and this is somehow fully legal because they claim it's "religion".
@mtjpb001 A new Brazilian church, UCKG has opened in my area in the UK. They claim to heal the sick using exorcism & holy water, & seem to have a cult like following. What do you think about them?
@zivkovicable Lots of people hate them here in Brazil. They will steal money from the poor and disinformed, brainwash them and spread hate. They have tons of money here in Brazil, a television channel, and hundreds of temples. They are called IURD here, and have been charged legally, but they always won. They are crazy, and when I mean "crazy", I mean CRAZY.
@tokesalot42069 i can relate because my grrat grandmother was a psychic. I saw her give readings and tarot card reafings when I was a kid and yet,I know it wasnt real. She genuinely believed it was,and I dont judge her for it,but it was a combination of cold reading, wishful thinking and delusion.
I respect james to an extent he wants proof about things and I can understand why but sometimes when it comes to the paranormal you just gotta belief but Uri was an ass so thank you james
@tokesalot42069 No,belief is only justifiable if its supported by proof. If not, than there is no rational reason to hold such a belief. Your claim that belief is more "powerful" is simply absurd. It might be more emotional, especially if it's an irrational belief, but its not more "powerful".Personally I find proof much more compelling than belief without evidence. And no psychic has yet to step forward and successfully take the million dollar challenge. If it's real, why cant it be proven?
@KingCondorIII theres no proof in religion and people justify it, and proof is only more powerful than belief when its in a courtroom, but when it comes to using inner energy ( chi ) to harness psychic abilities is very possible, its clear sylvia browne is a fake, but my mother for example isnt a fake psychic, she has been for 35 years, and lots of people have come for readings from her, and almost everyone has come back for another reading
james randi is a naive cunt, to think that there isnt spiritual encounters, channelings, and psychic abilities in the universe is just absurd, hes basically a scientist, where everything has to be proven, but belief is more powerful than proof
@tokesalot42069 What's so naive about being skeptical about a claim that has never been proven? It's naive to believe in something with absolutely not proof. People only latch on to fairy tale beliefs because it makes them feel good. Reality is a pain in the ass sometimes but you'll feel better accepting the truth than hiding from it.
@lasoogneypubes believing in a religion is a fairy tale and people say its the right thing to do, y is the belief in psychic abilities wrong, and psychic abilities is much more real than religious beliefs, and psychic reading is real and has been proven by millions of people called mediums and professional psychics like my mother whos been doing readings for over 35 years
@tokesalot42069 Well I don't endorse religion either. It's on the same level as psychic ability in the sense that neither of them have proof of their claims. Listen to yourself... If psychics have been proven to be real by millions of people we wouldn't be having this conversation. Please show me some proof and I'll gladly come back and apologize.
@lasoogneypubes if u just take the time to search up meditation techniques, mediums, psychic training on google you will find legitimate techniques and training exercises, a friend of my moms, sam masich, is a tai chi master and there are videos of him doing inner energy training on utube u can find, they involve using chi to defend yourself but its still based on learning to control your inner chi and then using it, whether it be psychic, medium, self defence/martial arts.
@tokesalot42069 I already practice meditation but it doesn't prove that psychics are legitimate. I was asking for PROOF of that. Not for you to suggest that I try it myself.
I can't fathom how ANYONE would think that Uri Geller was actually legitimate. People are so easy to fool, a slight of hand so easy to execute. Thank you, Randi. Why people bash you for using reason to reveal fraudulence is beyond me. And what is the "line of crap based on paradigms long held that are nothing more than myth" that Randi uses? Quite lost.
All I can say is that Uri made a frozen broken wrist watch I had move 14 seconds from thousands of miles away while he was in Israel.....so I really dont give a flip what this asshat says.
@canadaengland your retort shows your level of conditioning and immaturity. So this guy is your Guru and he has the final say on your myopic version of reality huh....?....pretty sad....the mind is like a parachute...if it doesnt open...your fooked. I can see you have already hit the ground.
James Randi isn't a "guru". If he started talking shit tomorrow morning, I can guarantee that most of the people who like this video would no longer agree with him. Skeptics give credence to reasoning, not personalities.
@frauleinschwein first place,I wasnt talking to you,2nd,anyone can accept a line of crap based on paradigms long held that are nothing more than myth or a short video ,versus anything Experiential, most skeptics do nothing but reinforce mainstream establishment beliefs and linear thinking. most serve the top of the pyramid unwittingly thru ignorance or by fooling their viewers that they are cunning, rather than take the time to learn a viable technique like RV and learn it.
This guy is great. It's so interesting to learn about these things. I think the evangelist guy was bad. I think everyone has the right to believe what they want & I won't judge it but to take advantage of their faith is just wrong.
@shobyms. The Oxford dictionary defines an Atheist as: a person who does not believe in the existence of God or gods. Since you say you do not believe in god then you are an Atheist by definition. So you may want to rephrase what you said as in this case it would not make sense to say atheists are not that intelligent.
@zaidtr You are actually judging that by the use of oxford dictionary. My point is " i Do not believe god as a person" that's all.Like religious people they believe god as a person but I do not. Atheists deny any existence of supernatural powers including "mind over matter" where I do not share their belief. So it is very difficult for you to label me. Thanks for your IFO but I also have dealt with these type of questions before.
@shobyms It might be true that most atheists are skeptics when it comes to all supernatural claims, but it's not necessarily so. An atheist can have supernatural beliefs as long as they don't involve a god of some sort.
@Lasienkeli881 my belief is god is not a person. thats all. It doesn't mean I do not believe god but I deny the existence of god. I believe there is an energy which I call god. but that god can not speak or have emotions because it is just the energy. So i don't know how can you label me as an atheist.
If you mean the natural laws of the universe, then so do I. The natural world is beautiful and transcendent. But god is not a good word to use. I would change your definition. It implies supernatural
@FellOnSoundGarden ok whatever you call Energy or Ki or Chi or Prana or god. my mouth is there is no god ( as a person) or god has no personalization. You may call it as god or power but it does not make big difference. If you are against the term "god" then do not need to use so.Freedom is yours
@shobyms if you believe in an omnipresent being then your not athiest. an all seeing all knowing thing (energy or person) is a god, whether you call it/him/her god, allah, or ganesh. supernatural implies strange stuff that doesnt necesarily control the universe or world or people
@shobyms This comes a bit late because of the new layout of youtube that doesn't show properly when you've gotten an answer from someone -.- Anyways, where did I ever label you as an atheist? I just explained the meaning of the term "atheist", and how it doesn't automatically make a person a complete naturalist or physicalist, because apparently I got an impression that you were a bit confused about that point in your earlier comment.
James randi attacked videos and some links instead of challenging anyone directly. However, even if they appear for the challenge, what is the guarantee for their life? keep torturing them or suppress them ( just like USA govt did against the Water fuel engine cars)?Mind over matter is a proven thing and also telekinesis.you need to get out of this cage and start researching. youtubing doesnt mean researching but do it in reality. It seems to me that you do not source to search out. FIND yourself!
@shobyms Oh goody, a conspiracy theorist, blogs are not a valid source of information, Cite three Research Papers iin respectable journals how Quantum Physics and James Randi.
By the way, you are an Atheist/Agno/Deist, It doesn't matter whether you like it or not.
But again, I'm not gonna get into a shouting match about your beliefs, just gonna mention that the majority of Academic Circles, Scientific Circles, Literature Circles are all primarily.. Godless. :O
I do not support paranormal crap.but psionics and quantum physics advanced than James Randi. James Randi is not even a scientist to debunk any science related subject. So it is an invalid attempt when he attacks with his magic-tricks.Actually he is goofing his followers.
I admit that there are many charlatans in this field but why can not he try Tibet or a Buddhist monk? Even if James debunked Uri,it will not prove that James Randi is correct.
James Rhandi is not a scientist and he does not know the need of replication of analysis or its outcomes. As he was a failed or unsuccessful magician, only he had left there is "eloquentness".So the radical atheists (seems) hired him as a spokesman in order to make people to believe. His methods are neither constructive nor scientific. Common people just get betrayed by his conversational tricks. good@generalising and attacking only the weak points of the subject in order to favour his position.
@shobyms Do elaborate how us "RADICAL ATHEISTS MAN" hired him? Believe what? That bad science and ridiculous paranormal claims are... ridiculous and sometimes harmful? What Strong points is he avoiding? Quite the arrogant claim to say that everyone who enjoys listening to and watching Randi is a "Commoner." Are you claiming that you are above the common people?
By the way, the whole point of his skepticism is that paranormal claims are not falsifiable, therefor unscientific.
@TheAsymmetrical .I am neither religious nor any type of atheist/agno. I don:t follow anything or anyone. FYI. I do not believe in god either to be specific but I am not an atheist. Atheists are not that intelligent however they can kick out religious hypocrites and their cults. It does not mean atheists are very intelligent.

People just want to believe in stupid shit. Faith healers are the worst of the worst. It just makes me sick that someone can con a bunch of sick old people out of millions of dollars and this is somehow fully legal because they claim it's "religion".

@entropy44 You don't imagine how things in Brazil are.
mtjpb001 1 month ago
@mtjpb001 A new Brazilian church, UCKG has opened in my area in the UK. They claim to heal the sick using exorcism & holy water, & seem to have a cult like following. What do you think about them?
zivkovicable 1 month ago

KingCondorIII 1 month ago
I respect james to an extent he wants proof about things and I can understand why but sometimes when it comes to the paranormal you just gotta belief but Uri was an ass so thank you james
TheNewDaySucks 1 month ago
@tokesalot42069 No,belief is only justifiable if its supported by proof. If not, than there is no rational reason to hold such a belief. Your claim that belief is more "powerful" is simply absurd. It might be more emotional, especially if it's an irrational belief, but its not more "powerful".Personally I find proof much more compelling than belief without evidence. And no psychic has yet to step forward and successfully take the million dollar challenge. If it's real, why cant it be proven?
KingCondorIII 1 month ago
@KingCondorIII theres no proof in religion and people justify it, and proof is only more powerful than belief when its in a courtroom, but when it comes to using inner energy ( chi ) to harness psychic abilities is very possible, its clear sylvia browne is a fake, but my mother for example isnt a fake psychic, she has been for 35 years, and lots of people have come for readings from her, and almost everyone has come back for another reading
tokesalot42069 1 month ago
@KingCondorIII Just shut up and watch the video.
sausage221 1 month ago
james randi is a naive cunt, to think that there isnt spiritual encounters, channelings, and psychic abilities in the universe is just absurd, hes basically a scientist, where everything has to be proven, but belief is more powerful than proof
tokesalot42069 1 month ago
@tokesalot42069 Only in the mind of the believer. Everywhere else, it doesn't matter what you believe. Reality is a bitch.
BeerMan5000 1 month ago
@tokesalot42069 What's so naive about being skeptical about a claim that has never been proven? It's naive to believe in something with absolutely not proof. People only latch on to fairy tale beliefs because it makes them feel good. Reality is a pain in the ass sometimes but you'll feel better accepting the truth than hiding from it.
lasoogneypubes 1 month ago
@lasoogneypubes believing in a religion is a fairy tale and people say its the right thing to do, y is the belief in psychic abilities wrong, and psychic abilities is much more real than religious beliefs, and psychic reading is real and has been proven by millions of people called mediums and professional psychics like my mother whos been doing readings for over 35 years
tokesalot42069 1 month ago
@tokesalot42069 Well I don't endorse religion either. It's on the same level as psychic ability in the sense that neither of them have proof of their claims. Listen to yourself... If psychics have been proven to be real by millions of people we wouldn't be having this conversation. Please show me some proof and I'll gladly come back and apologize.
lasoogneypubes 1 month ago
@lasoogneypubes if u just take the time to search up meditation techniques, mediums, psychic training on google you will find legitimate techniques and training exercises, a friend of my moms, sam masich, is a tai chi master and there are videos of him doing inner energy training on utube u can find, they involve using chi to defend yourself but its still based on learning to control your inner chi and then using it, whether it be psychic, medium, self defence/martial arts.
tokesalot42069 1 month ago
@tokesalot42069 I already practice meditation but it doesn't prove that psychics are legitimate. I was asking for PROOF of that. Not for you to suggest that I try it myself.

I can't fathom how ANYONE would think that Uri Geller was actually legitimate. People are so easy to fool, a slight of hand so easy to execute. Thank you, Randi. Why people bash you for using reason to reveal fraudulence is beyond me. And what is the "line of crap based on paradigms long held that are nothing more than myth" that Randi uses? Quite lost.

James Randi isn't a "guru". If he started talking shit tomorrow morning, I can guarantee that most of the people who like this video would no longer agree with him. Skeptics give credence to reasoning, not personalities.
frauleinschwein 1 month ago
@frauleinschwein first place,I wasnt talking to you,2nd,anyone can accept a line of crap based on paradigms long held that are nothing more than myth or a short video ,versus anything Experiential, most skeptics do nothing but reinforce mainstream establishment beliefs and linear thinking. most serve the top of the pyramid unwittingly thru ignorance or by fooling their viewers that they are cunning, rather than take the time to learn a viable technique like RV and learn it.

@shobyms. The Oxford dictionary defines an Atheist as: a person who does not believe in the existence of God or gods. Since you say you do not believe in god then you are an Atheist by definition. So you may want to rephrase what you said as in this case it would not make sense to say atheists are not that intelligent.
zaidtr 1 month ago
@zaidtr You are actually judging that by the use of oxford dictionary. My point is " i Do not believe god as a person" that's all.Like religious people they believe god as a person but I do not. Atheists deny any existence of supernatural powers including "mind over matter" where I do not share their belief. So it is very difficult for you to label me. Thanks for your IFO but I also have dealt with these type of questions before.
shobyms 1 month ago
@shobyms It might be true that most atheists are skeptics when it comes to all supernatural claims, but it's not necessarily so. An atheist can have supernatural beliefs as long as they don't involve a god of some sort.
Lasienkeli881 1 month ago
@Lasienkeli881 my belief is god is not a person. thats all. It doesn't mean I do not believe god but I deny the existence of god. I believe there is an energy which I call god. but that god can not speak or have emotions because it is just the energy. So i don't know how can you label me as an atheist.
shobyms 1 month ago
@shobyms
If you mean the natural laws of the universe, then so do I. The natural world is beautiful and transcendent. But god is not a good word to use. I would change your definition. It implies supernatural
FellOnSoundGarden 1 month ago
@FellOnSoundGarden ok whatever you call Energy or Ki or Chi or Prana or god. my mouth is there is no god ( as a person) or god has no personalization. You may call it as god or power but it does not make big difference. If you are against the term "god" then do not need to use so.Freedom is yours
shobyms 1 month ago
@shobyms if you believe in an omnipresent being then your not athiest. an all seeing all knowing thing (energy or person) is a god, whether you call it/him/her god, allah, or ganesh. supernatural implies strange stuff that doesnt necesarily control the universe or world or people
mrjams242 1 month ago

FIND yourself!
shobyms 1 month ago
@shobyms Oh goody, a conspiracy theorist, blogs are not a valid source of information, Cite three Research Papers iin respectable journals how Quantum Physics and James Randi.
By the way, you are an Atheist/Agno/Deist, It doesn't matter whether you like it or not.
But again, I'm not gonna get into a shouting match about your beliefs, just gonna mention that the majority of Academic Circles, Scientific Circles, Literature Circles are all primarily.. Godless. :O
TheAsymmetrical 1 month ago

Common people just get betrayed by his conversational tricks. good@generalising and attacking only the weak points of the subject in order to favour his position.
shobyms 1 month ago
@shobyms Better that the "common people" are betrayed by Mr.Rhandi's eloquence than that of Mr. Popoff.
Smithpolly 1 month ago
@shobyms Do elaborate how us "RADICAL ATHEISTS MAN" hired him? Believe what? That bad science and ridiculous paranormal claims are... ridiculous and sometimes harmful? What Strong points is he avoiding? Quite the arrogant claim to say that everyone who enjoys listening to and watching Randi is a "Commoner." Are you claiming that you are above the common people?
By the way, the whole point of his skepticism is that paranormal claims are not falsifiable, therefor unscientific.
TheAsymmetrical 1 month ago
@TheAsymmetrical .I am neither religious nor any type of atheist/agno. I don:t follow anything or anyone. FYI. I do not believe in god either to be specific but I am not an atheist. Atheists are not that intelligent however they can kick out religious hypocrites and their cults. It does not mean atheists are very intelligent.
