  • Lol I thought it said Multi Platform

  • that was epic!!! im subcribing i wana see more

  • how did you get the plug n play's to work in those cartridges?

  • By making them interface with the base unit in a standard way; as with the Alpha Omega master controller.

  • stop nagging bacteria hes awesome

  • making a handheld out of another handheld seems kinda pointless

  • If that was the situation, then yes you're right; however plug'n'plays are not handhelds they work on a domestic television by design; also GBA has a smaller screen so extra benefit.

  • that looks like a n64 cake

  • Except it isn't an N64! *facepalm*

  • 2:34 fail :P

  • AwesomeSauce

  • wait isnt this just using emulation ?

  • No.

  • @MODDEDbyBACTERIA so everything is running native ? whats the hardware you are using inside ?

  • It isn't emulation in this system nor original hardware; it used the boards from plug'n'play gadgets, which use NOAC instead, they are not as good as original boards in many ways though; emulators use ROM images which the user loads into a system, which you don't have here, the games are on the chip already. NOAC are inferior chips.

  • OH GAWD THE MENU IN THE NES ONE............action 52 menu sound *shudders*

  • you made this?

  • should go on dragons den

  • do u srell portables

  • the audio is especially nice on this handheld. appearance isnt everything by any means. its all about functionality and this is brilliant in that case. well done :)

  • Indeed, functionality is the key to this project; interchangable systems via modded carts.

  • you could have just got a psp and put emulators on it

  • Emulators are not the real deal, and have many flaws in most cases; anyone who knows the difference knows the difference.

  • @MODDEDbyBACTERIA i know, i dont even know why i said that. im not even a fan of emulators, thats why i have basically every handheld console ever made, even though i can easily play the same games on my psp.

  • I'm not a fan of emulators either, not on the legality aspect as i'm into old retro gaming, but the fact that most emulators are poor cousins of the original systems; also, you tend to feel empty playing an emulator rather than on original proper authentic hardware. The youth today are spoilt to the point they have no appreciation on the whole for proper retro gaming.

  • That D-Pad is a little too small

  • it does not matter how it looks. its how it works that matters.

  • @MegaCasualgamer

i agree, the look could be better, but it works, that´s enough! :)

    ...and its a cool system!!!

  • hey how much cost one.

  • Very nice! is like a bowl :P

Did u use the psone screen?

  • I'm the first to admit it looks bad, however at the time, it was the best I could make it. Nowadays, well look at my current systems - no comparison. Hope you like my iNto64 portable N64 console coming out soon!!

  • haha u should dosome tutorials for thoes gaems

  • Wow, excellent job for sure. i would buy one

  • No, don't want to LED mod the screen as the lighting on the screen is then not uniform.

Ripped this system apart anyway a while back to use the screen in a different system!

  • Did you LED mod that PSone screen?

  • No, not an engineer at all. Added texture with a small brush. Yes, roxystar88, this is fairly ugly in retrospect, rebuilding into a gorgeous case, give me time.

  • Are you an engineer of some kind? You certainly know what you're doing here, I'm quite impressed. How did you add the texture to the casing?

  • its ugly as hell, but great job very impresive.

  • One day, I want to connect Dreamcast, GameCube, Mame(PC) and Amiga together in a box, and let Amiga be top of the box. The system I will use (if I one day create this) is DOS, and every system will have it´s own unit. So we say, a:\ = Amiga, b:\ = Gamecube etc.

This triggering me to learn how to do my project.

  • Experimenting at the moment with vacuum forming, so may in the future modify this system to be integrated into a gorgeous casing!

  • great news!

  • Thanks! No, not going to sell as they take so long to make and are more complex than normal portables, also can't be sold with any guarantee.

No, there are no legal issues in any form, using original hardware; no emulators. No different legally to "Pimping your ride" or putting hub caps on your car or changing your graphics card in your PC; or whatever. This modding work I do is totally and completely legal and above board.

  • Freakin amazing, are you going to sell these? I'm sure there might be legal issues, but I'd love to have one.

  • 2:25 -EPIC FAIL

    However.

That thing is awesome and i'm VERY impressed by your computer-makery-knowledge! I'd buy that right now! Esp with the nes games. Awesome..

  • I believe it is you who fail if you were indeed referring to Arkanoid at 2:35

  • believe what you want but if you cant make the bat meet the ball - fail.

  • This is all very interesting, how did you begin learning how to build and ulter electronic games like this?

  • icurafu - it isn't official hardware, there were three boards, plus a controller board and a cartridge; the controller was reduced in size, one of the three boards was removed (through rewiring), components on the other boards were relocated or removed and the cart board was soldered directly to the cart pins. Quite a lot of work but made everything far smaller!

  • Way COOL!

  • Awesome indeed.

Are you sure that's a NES cart in that small box?

  • Awesome Bacteria.
