  • This is pretty sweet video and I think im def going to try to black out mine to look like how yours started, but how durable or fade resistant is this? With car washes over time ect? Can you still wash the rims or will the paint just come off?

  • @nikefutbol13

It really depends on what paint you will be using. Also I only show the first coat. You will need about 3-4 to be durable and even a coat a clear if you really want it to last. Mine has held up for the past 3 years with many track days.

  • got some overspray on the lip but that's what paint remover is for. good shit bro.

  • Daaaamnn Yo! You painted that without covering it !? And it came out perfect, Shiiittt Im doin' this next, Lol.

  • @itachi746

Yeah, I've been rattle canning things for several years though. I would get some practice before you try what I did lol. Just make sure your easy on the spray finger. If the paint runs it's really hard to correct and takes quite some time to fix/correct.

If you need any tips with anything you can simply comment again so others can see my responses so they won't have to ask again.

  • im goin to paint mine neon green do i apply a clear coat after the first coat nd how many coats should i applay bfore i apply the clear coat

  • @cricket2527

Well, I don't endorse car trends like neon rims.. but first coat is a base coat. you should wait overnight for it to cure and dry. Then 2-3 more coats then clear if you want to. I simply do 2 coats 30 minutes apart and no clear coat. But I'm cheap and don't care about it being super pro or expensive.

  • What brand is the paint your using

  • @cricket2527

I don't remember, but it's probably dupli color. It's usually the best spray can you can get.

  • @cricket2527

Correction, I'm using Krylon brand paint in this video.

  • does the paint fade away or run off, do i have to sand my rims first??

  • @cricket2527

My paint has neither faded or ran away from me and it's been about a year. I didn't sand my rims so no you don't have to but I would suggest it.

I ran these for several drift even and I haven't even got rock chips in them yet so I guess it all depends on how gangster you spray it. If you have any more questions you can contact Mr Raisin Toast or simply comment again.

  • bro youre a pro o.0 i went to a auto paint tech school and i HAVE to tape the edges i dont want paint on but you what the hell you paint it without getting paint on the lips , good job

  • @edwardx2011

Thanks, I'm actually ASE certified in being pro.

  • @PearlshippingDriftTV im ASE certified too xD lmao high five bro!

  • And I bet your front bumper is,being held on by paper clips

  • @ztepcs11

    I actually use rubber bands.

  • wow and a week later the rims are back to black stupid ass and thats why your car looks that way

  • @ztepcs11

and yet over a year and 20 blown tires later they are still gold =O

  • oooooook

  • thanks for yours....smart ass

  • @crackacraig12

Thank you for the compliment. Usually my ass is asleep from sitting on it all day so it gets pretty dumb.

  • doesnt matter how accurate your spraying is, paint particles are floating around, and if something isnt covered up that SHOULD be, its going to get paint on it no matter what

  • @crackacraig12

Yes, that is the definition of over spray. However it is so minimal I really didn't care. If you do care or are new to painting and worried about being inaccurate then I suggest covering up the parts you don't want paint on. :) Thanks for the input/insight.

  • why are you hitting the rims with the towel, was they sassing you? haha

  • @crackacraig12

    Yes they was.

  • Dam you have all bent rims :(

  • @vishibhabra90

Yes, the set is my drift spares. Which means they have seen a lot of abuse. However the 17s I usually run for daily are in much better condition.

  • Thanks man. This helps. Cuz all I have is 5 bucks.

  • Is that spray paint say gold on it m?

  • I guess we aren't worrying about overspray going all over the shop floor and the tire. You are lazy

  • @wartactics

Yep. But as you can see I'm pretty dead on accurate with my sprays so there was no over spray onto the lip/tire. But there was a lot on the floor of my garage lol

  • @PearlshippingDriftTV as long as you don't care, I don't care.

  • RX8?

  • So awesome it's funny. nice vid and nice car lol

  • dude you did that without taping/covering it and made no mistakes ....and extremely fast...That was awesome..

  • That was too fast to be accurate..

  • @Ostnizdasht206

    What do you mean accurate?

  • DAM YOU FUCKEN THUG LIFED THE SHIT OUT OF IT !!!!!!

  • Thug life.

  • Comment removed

  • Lazy

  • I wont lie I thought this would be so shytty but DAM that looked great! I clicked like!

  • this is a joke right????

  • @DNALI if it was would it be funny?

  • I swear I've seen that car before.

  • OMFG You have nooo idea what you are doing. That paint will flake off in to time LOL. This must be embarrassing for you

  • @HarperM22

I would have to disagree. I drift constantly on all my rims and they never flake. They might get rock chips depending on which track I go to though.
