is Squier Affinit Strat a good guitar? :) I mean, would it be good to play at concerts? :) oh, and one more thing, did you use effects? :) anyway, BRAVO :D
I said to myself "this should be good" as soon as I clicked your video - and it was! Fantastic job my friend - I wish I could crack this tune out like you!
as usual very good instructional video for non-beginners. This is perfect for us who wants to cover DS-songs! Please have a go at single handed sailor when you got some space in your calendar, that would be cool!
All of your hard work has paid off for you. Great job. Glad to hear you have moved on to a new guitar, however, the folks at Squire should use you in their commericials.
My old Squier Affinity (modded with 3 Fender Texas Special pickups) on a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe amp. Using MK strat now, but Squier was impressive for the price, including the mod :)
@flotheman1987 I'm not quite sure what you mean by this, I hope this isn't the thumb on the back of te neck thing, I don't get THAT! lol, it's this simple for me, thumb on the back for bar chord's and scalic stuff but if you need to solo or have any feeling in your playing it's thumb over the top, every great solo player prove's that one.
What I mean is that when you will play good jazzguitar or for example some numbers from Jimi Hendrix you need your left thumb over the neck. You can put your thumb on the fith and sixth string. Only than it is possible to play some difficult(jazz) chords!
Got you, I don't do this much myself, even tho it does make sense and I have quite big hand's it just feel's awkward for me, It's a pity cos it would make thing's easier sometime's, I do use it to mute string's like the D chord when strummin, it's just that last bit of effort needed to play the bar's etc elude's me.
Hehe, thank you but I don't think anyone can be MK II ;) And I'm not even trying to be like him - if I could only meet him in person that would be all I could ever imagine.
in the 2. part of the first phrase, slide back from ix. to vii. position (E to D)(at 0:19) instead of plucking again. See ffoma's version for the right hand.
By far the best cover I've seen and heard on this song! I watched your cover of Sailing To Philadelphia too and it was also awesome! The sound matches perfect with the original and if I didn't know you were playing I would have though it was Mark himself! Absolutely fantastic performance!
dam your good !!!!

Absolutely BRILLIANT you play this note for note with the track.
I dont think even Mark would be able to play this as he did on the track.
See Mark live at Albert Hall and played it diffrent each time.
good luck.

Jel' imaš band?
jplavi 2 years ago
Ne. Bilo je par pokušaja ali su dečki samo htjeli svirat narodnjake, a ni kvaliteta svirke im nije bila na razini.
herrwizo 2 years ago
Joj, joj! Opet su sve upropastili narodnjaci. Ali stvarno mislim da bi trebao imat band ili bar svirat solo.

Nicely done on solos. I agree with the previous poster about sliding back from ix to vii. The intro lick could be a bit smoother.
