Decades ago we watched Bob Nelson's Jiffy Jeff's gym routine. Found it hilarious and have referred to it through the years. Many years ago I searched for it in video stores, could not find it. For some reason, it popped into my head again and I thought, "YouTube!" and here it is! Thank you to whomever posted this. It is a classic. I saw Bob do this skit on a Rodney Dangerfield special years ago on HBO and it was on HBO the other night. Bob is one of those rare comedians who can be "very" funny without using profanity. He will throw out an occasional f-bomb but not very often. I watch a lot of vulgar comedians and some are hilarious but if you can make people laugh with clean humor, that's real talent.

Secondly, while it appears from his website that Bob is in fact a religious person, it doesn't look like he wears it on his sleeve. But I still stand by my assertion that there is nothing "Christian" about this act. In fact, making fun of a boxer with brain injuries doesn't in fact seem very "Christ" like now does it?

I saw him Live a few years ago and hung out with him after the show for about 1/2 hour. Bob said he became a father and he has little kids. That is why he cleaned his act. Now his kids could watch his routines.

But listen to the videp again and see what I mean. He never missed a beat and his timing was perfection...up there with an Abbot & Costello routine.
