When you have a high-paid job at a news organization that pays you to spread lies and misinformation, you're naturally going to be very out of touch. Corporate welfare is bad, bailing out banks that treated their businesses like casinos, corporations that control our political process (i.e. the tarsands pipeline environmental report commissioned by the State Department being done by a company that has a direct interest in the pipeline being built), excessive lobbying preventing key legislation from being past, tax cuts for the richest one percent that see record profits yet lay off Americans.

We can't get climate legislation passed.

The financial system went hog wild and used all kinds of shady unsustainable business-practices (they knew this when they were doing it, by the way) to get huge profits. They make money from money. They're scum and offer society nothing, yet they have so much control. How can healthcare for every man woman and child in this country be a bad thing?
