Zac made several solo albums, and now writes for a major label. You can find some of his solo work on various albums with other peoples name on it... like "Used To" from Daughtry was on a Zac solo album a couple years before Daughtry "wrote it" after American Idol. He also cowrote All you did was save by life from Our Lady Peace. Check out Zac's website to see more.
I saw these guys in excess of 50 times starting in the early 90's. They were an amazing live act. Zac is indeed a successful song writer now, John (drums) is now the drummer for Seether (at least I think he still is), Ricky (the blond one who joined the band for the Foma album) was with La Freak last I heard. I have no idea what happened to Jesse or the other Ricky. I miss these guys. They were very approachable and appreciative of their fans.
This band is really highly underrated. They have a great all around sound and a truly dynamic male lead on the vocals. I think this guy is where Rob Thomas from Matchbox 20 drew some of his influences.
I saw them perform 12 years ago in South Bend, IN. After the show, the lead singer came up and introduced himself to me. What a pleasant surprise that was! Nice guy, great band. I miss them...would love to see a reunion.
i remember seeing them not long before they broke up in memphis,tn i was fortunate enough to meet them..i walked over while they were eating and they signed my cd...i remember hearing that some of there equipment was stolen on that tour and not long after that they were through
WOW, i have been looking for this song for 5 years trying to figure out who it was back in the day it was one of my top five, i want to cover it with my rock band cool deal...awesome too bad they never continued they had so much potential...
I am Dying to get a hold of a copy of some format of the Nixons Live in concert in boston. It was a show they did and the radio station WAAF boston broadcasted the whole live concert over the radio.
I really really want to get it and put it on CD so I can listen to it.
It was their best performance and they had a LOT of songs that they never released such as Fearless, and a couple others.
Tem coisas que só á música tem o direito de falar , e essa música ela foi feita especialmente para fala com a nossas almas , quande banda, não perde para nimguem do grunge
Hopes of ever seeing the real Nixons are all but gone. Would love to just see Zac acoustic at this point. He seems to be done with performing though. His solo music was just as good as Nixons stuff, but he just didn't get much turn out at the shows. Zac Maloy band was at it's best with Tim Locke.....anybody ever go to one of the few Killer Grins shows?
I love the Nixons they have been my Fav band since I was 13. I would die to see them in concert. I live in Florida and as far as I know they don't really tour that much anymore if at all. Anyway, Much Love To the band. Stevie
Maybe the reason is because they broke up shortly after there 3rd album back in 2000. They did come to Fl a couple of times and I have seen them twice there. Very awesome people.
Awesome band, they were great to hang out with when they held the party for their debut album. I knew then they would be great. - Draven

I see a lot of people wondering what happened to the band....
Zac went on to do a solo record. Not bad overall. The rest of the guys were still around in music last I checked.
Zac is now a sought after songwriter, living in Nashville, and has written a song that's charted well for Carrie Underwood called "Temporary Home".
Still miss The Nixons though. I got to work with them when they played in Canada about 15 years ago. Good memories!

I have some of the stuff they did in the WAAF studio. I got my hands on it when I worked for WIRX and they shipped some promos CDs out.
