yea that length seems right, cuz i have a albino lavender tiger reticulated python who is 1 year old and only about 5.5ft. but by the time my female normal retic was a year old she was around 7-8 ft
i have a normal male retic and he is about 8 month old but he is only 3 and 1/2 feet... i feed him a mouse every week give or take... but i heard he should be longer wat do u think??
he should definately be longer. i can tell you the problem now, its cuz you still feed him mice. a few rookies laugh at me when i tell them this but mice doesnt let big snakes grow much or hardly. start giving him rats and i GUARANTEE he'll start growing unless he's a dwarf species. they can get full stomachs on mice but not a growth spurt. takecare man.
Seems like ur retic should be much bigger by now, mine's a normal borneo male and he's already on 8 months 5 foot 3" ish. He might be a dwarf but the dealer didnt tell you.
definitely cuz yer only feedin him mice... move up to small er medium rats.. if it looks a little big so what retics are fuckin monsters and will eat it.. mice should be fed to em maybe the first few weeks then start movin on tuh rats
man your retic is growing nice...mine is growing like crazy to mine is actually maybe a lil bigger than yours but maybe becuase i have a female but overall nice tiger retic
thanks man. i think he might of been closer to 6ft in this vid. its hard for me to tell with retics. now he's 6 1/2+. he'll be a year old in the mid of may. ill make a vid.
I dont know if you can tell but my retic is well fed. he has a hard enough time swallowing 1 large. A snakes growth also depends on genes. My retics parents werent that big(Is my guess). My burm has small parents and my burms not that big either. i'll make an update of him soon. He's the same age as the retic but about a foot or less smaller and he eats like a pig. Just remember every snake grows differently. but yeah at 9mths Ive seen them at 7ft or more.
it's cute. i like snakes

sweet.man. Wat do you feed him
ilovemyboaconstricto 3 years ago
He's on large rats. I'd rather feed him 2mediums but I ran out.
drepop803 3 years ago
You could probably be giving it 2 large rats because it seems pretty small for 9 months of age
