d) Quran: it’s compulsory for a man to work and spend his money on his wife and take care of her needs. But for a lady it’s her wish if she wants to work or not. But its better not to if her husband thinks she shouldn’t. And if she works no one has the right to force her to spend the money on anyone. Its her wish whom she spends her money on. It’s not her job to support family. Its her wish if she wants to.

It should be noted that he is speaking from the perspective that the wife doesn't work or have a job outside the home... she is allowed to work according to Islam, but no one can force her... so if she chooses to stay home she can't just sit and watch soap operas all day... she has other responsibilities... so if the husband works hard, and the wife doesn't have to work, I fail to see anything wrong with what he is saying in this video, if we understand the context...

Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allâh has made one of them to excel the other, and because they spend (to support them) from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient (to Allâh and to their husbands), and guard in the husband's absence what Allâh orders them to guard (e.g. their chastity, their husband's property).

He said: Was it the darkness (of your shadow) that I saw in front of me? I said: Yes. He struck me on the chest which caused me pain, and then said: Did you think that Allah and His Apostle would deal unjustly with you?
aisha narrated this. he was following 4:34.

People sometime hit their wives and it is just some funny way of expressing love and yes that light hit. But, neither of us take it as "beating". f) Aisha (r.a), prophets wife said: whenever prophet pbuh came home, he’d do all his work on his own, including washings his clothes, making his own food, etc and help her with her work as well!!...

But its better not to if her husband thinks she shouldn’t. And if she works no one has the right to force her to spend the money on anyone. Its her wish whom she spends her money on. It’s not her job to support family. Its her wish if she wants to.

a) Hadith: a man is good only when his wife thinks he is good
b) Hadith: A man cannot go to heaven if he could not take care of the wife or any other woman in his life (example sister or mother)
c) Quran: it’s a man’s responsibility to protect and take care of and give whatever his wife wants (as long as she doesn’t want something haram)
