Does seated imply weight shifting back, which leads to skidding, sliding and pushing the snow. I like the term compression. This occurs when the weight is dropped down. Pivot and rotation. Hip turn great. Realistic. However, not carving. Skiing Backwards great for dealing with emergencies and how to maintain balance. Thanks
@busapp Based on their body position in the video, I took "seated" to mean having your body in a standard athletic "ready" position: knees bent, back straight, head up, shoulders square. Similar to the way a basketball player would ready themselves to play defense. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
@deathrow83 The NZ exams are some of the more robust and internationally respected exams, the american and canadian qualification systems are a joke in comparison

People--she's not saying "seated." She's saying "centered."

I hardly understood a word the woman said in this. She really overcomplicated stuff.

@deathrow83 How so? Please explain, or post a video of yourself showing how it should be done.

First lady is called Bridget, Second gentleman is called Rob. These two instructors are fantastic. I learnt from them. They are realy really cool!!

Excellent ski teaching!
The instructors' pronounced NZ accents are a bit distracting at first
And the music is very irritating
But the skiing is inspiring
