It was not the same brand of slavery we had in the USA where people would be kidnapped from their homeland. As a matter of fact kidnapping someone is also outlawed in Leviticus. Also, to those who think the Old Testament is invalid because of Jesus... umm yeah, Jesus was a Jew, Jesus followed the Old Testament, and Jesus spoke of love and acceptance. Couldn't finish watching past 1:30. First of all, stop reading the testament and actually read the new one. You're allowed to be gay, but you should not be allowed to marry a man. I think that it's sad that religion is associated with being anti-gay...

Maybe I see it differently because my dad, while being very religious (attends church daily, etc) always thought us to accept others the way they are and respect them.

My dad's words to a fellow church-goer who was suggesting a gay-healing program on the city streets: "Until gays start shouting at us at the door of the church to stop us going in, I say let them live the way they want and let us carry on with our lives".

One time I went up to an anti-gay preacher talking with a megaphone and I just said to him "nice ass!" He did have a nice ass too, I thought. He felt very unhappy after I commented him on his butt. He had a sad look on his face. Mind you, I did not see anger in this particular Christian. What this has taught me is that each individual needs to be honest. STOP with the denial of oneself!

Ex-gay groups start with gay people and claim to make them heterosexual. If that actually worked, it would prove that heterosexuality is a choice.

They fail in most cases by their own criteria. The rest of their clients either become incapable of intimacy or learn to call themselves straight while battling feelings that real straight people don't have. In other words, no change, damage, or self-deception. That's a zero percent success rate. If ex-gay "therapy" were a drug, it would be banned.

If only the families of so many gays weren't raised in such highly religious households. It's stupid how many of us have to hide one of the biggest things about us from our families. I know from experience that it sucks to have to hide your Sexual Preference from your family. I'm a lesbian and they've set themselves on the assumption that I'm 100% straight...I'm hoping one day people can learn not to be so judgmental of gays/lesbians/etc and that others won't have to go through the same thing.

I am a devout Christian and I thank God for people like you who can show us that there is nothing wrong with being gay. For future reference, there are also some good things in the book of first kings about being allowed to eat your children if you haven't eaten in two weeks. Lovely stuff. Christians believe that God took those commandments away through Jesus yet somehow the homosexuality thing stuck. It seems like all religions have some wackjob idiots.

You left out my favorite point! The bible doesn't directly say ANYTHING about homosexuality....ANYWHERE. It's not even in there!!!! All that other stuff is but NOT homosexuality. It's not even a matter of being selective, it's a matter of being uneducated. The one verse associated is WRONG. Mistranslated long ago and nobody bothers to check. The bible has been translated and rewritten so many times it's not very accurate at all. Being gay is a natural occurrence.... DEAL WITH IT PEOPLE.

I really like this, its funny, and I have the exact same thoughts quite often. Love the bible quotes. In my opinion there are lessons we should take from the bible, honesty, peace, acceptance,etc. but the rest is nothing but rhetoric created by people in charge to condemn those they don't agree with. The bible God had wrote was lost long ago to the corruption of people. Keep doing what your doing! :)
