Wow, Brandon sounds really subdued and melancholy and almost bored compared to the Weenie Roast version. Also, someone on there said that Brandon said he wrote this song because Andy thought he was a big-shot, but a lot of other people, including Brandon himself (in other interviews) said the song was about a guy he had a crush on in high school. That would make a little more sense, I think. "In a car with a girl, promise me she's not your world" fits the theory about the gay crush.

@helenabellamuerte The actual meaning of this song is sarcastic. The singer (Brandon Flowers) was bullied by a guy named Andy Messersmith in High School. (Not the baseball player.) Well now Andy is a gym teacher at the same school while Brandon Flowers is the successful man he is today. So the meaning is sarcastic, and he's insulting Andy.
