paddle shouldn't be underwater, it's bad technique for if you are paddling on a river and you capsize in shallow water, you would still be able to use your paddle to push youself off the bottom however you dont want to capsize and get your paddle caught in something on the way up so it is better to learn it the proper way so you don't have that problem and don't have to keep switching.
There's not one roll here that would work in moving water unless you got lucky or that diving blade hit the bottom and you puntted off.
You need to reach for the sky, tilt the leading wrsit forward and your balde won't dive. This does show that the hip flick gets you up though as there's next to no support for the blade in any of the rolls shown here....
@kayaker3000 As said a good hip flick is better than good support (hands or paddles) of course if you were hand paddling I assume you had some sort of hand float or webbed glove on? I stand by my comments about her sweep roll. The paddle dives badly this is not good technique.
Yeah, it is a cross between most of the rolls:P pretty bad technique for an Eskimo roll. You want to angle the power blade so it sculls over the top of the water and pulls you up. This means you come up in a better position and you are less likely to fail.
lol film above water then, nah im kidding its a fair roll but your face plus rocks would meet quite badly with that. Which roll is she doing i can't tell for definate but it looks like a sweep to back deck roll!
A roll like that would get you the spanking of your life on anything worth paddling.

Agreed -- this is bad technique. Get the working blade up on the surface (and the other blade out of the water) and curl the body toward the surface.

has she ever rolld on ww think shes rolling a bit slow

When shooting this video underwater she had to make her roll slow or all you would see is bubbles and not the actual roll.
