It's inside the gate fold cover of the McCartney 2 LP. And it's also in the McCartney 2 CD booklet. There are also 3 other photos in there in which Paul is imitating the other 3 Beatles!
I remember hearing McCartney II for the first time in about 2004 and thinking this track was like trance music 10 years before it was even invented. Hypnotic stuff.
Never heard this before today... pretty nice! Sounds like Tangerine Dream a little... much better than some of the tracks that actually made it onto McCartney II. "Check My Machine" is total dreck, though.
KIng Crimson?? He did stuff like this? I think is Pauls low point personally...guess it's relaxing...don't know what he's trying to do .... LIsten to "I got a feeling" on LET IT BE record. love that song...What year is this?
this song just soothes me from head to toe. love playing it in my car on long drives. He should have scrapped a few tunes off of McCartney 2 and put this song in its entirety right at the end as a sort of climax. i like Check my Machine too.
Isn't this the album where he played all the instruments himself? I remember first hearing this and thinking it was so magical- so freaked out. I still love it.
@rdsieben Yes, because Pink Floyd have the monopoly on longs songs, and curses shall be laid upon anyone else who dares to record anything over 10 minutes.
this tune is amazing!

@zephyrquartz That pic is from the Waterfalls video--I love the way he looks in it! He was about 38, but still looked in his 20's!

I think it's incredible how diverse his music was. Lennon wasn't doing dance tracks, that's for sure.

Well I like it. It reminds me of Talking Heads and a touch of world influences. Has he done anymore? Bring em on!

Fine example of ambient dance. It's obvious that Macca has a feel for the dance floor, so why does he prefer to keep churning out so much dross?

This sounds like the ambient music of the nineties by Orbital or Aphex Twin or something, and for 1980 that's impressive.

Devo had been around for like 7 years when this came out. And it doesn't even really resemble Devo in any way.

Yes, he played all the instruments in the album. Thanks for watching!

@icanwaitanotherday Yeah it's from 1980's McCartney II. He played all the instruments on 1970's McCartney as well.

First he is trying to mimic Devo and now Pink Floyd with a long song.
