Robert Glasper and Chris Dave were made for each other (musically, of course, you perv). I can't think of a better fit for either of them or their approach to music.
Yeah doc....I was watching the discovery channel and I saw a humming bird and I was watching this vid at the same time and I was like....Those hummingbird wings are Chris's hands! lol....
I got to tour with chris on janet 93.. this kid flat out amazed me every nite AT SOUNDCHECK. been following him since, and i gotta say, i've seen most all the old cats, the new cats.... Chris is blessed, and in the top of the top living or dead. I think what we'll see out of him in the years to come as a player AND a producer will be astonishing to say the least.
yeah dude this is nothing listen to the old kim burrell stuff yo and i promise the stuff he did back in the day we are still tryin to do now i promise you trust he have came to new orleans a bunch of times yo and killed
Spankys has been doin his thing for years. Its stupid for any of you to say that. They are completely different drummers with small similarities. Get it right.
sonor delite kit. some old hats, couldnt tell what, probly zyldjians. paiste traditional ride. a 16 ontop of an 18 of some sorta crashes. and a small ozone with 6 rivets. and a hihat tambourine
He's got a lot of diversity in his playing - it's a combination of jazz, funk/R&B, and hip hop - those are a TON of influences right there. I really hear the hip-hop thing in his approach. I really apprecitate that b/c drummers sleep on that stuff!
this is shit
