  • Your SO FAKE ! Perdue........why don't you do with OUT ?

  • You know how you can "thank us for what we do"? Give us a freakin' raise!!!! Stop cutting our pay and making us take unpaid furlough days!! I haven't had a raise in 5 years!!! What's wrong with you? You expect us to jump through hoops and yet you give us no compensation. Why don't you cut your salary? Give yourself some unpaid leave? Set an example instead of tearing away at little peons like me who can't do anything about it. You've got us where you want us and you know it. And that's bad

  • SEANC handed you a proposal of 29 budget points that would save or earn OVER 3 TIMES the state budget shortfall without cutting a single position from the payroll. We've seen our colleagues RIF'ed, reverted salary to the state, done more with less and we're no closer to breaking even than we were when you started. At some point you have to stop rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic and figure out that hacking away at the work force ISN'T WORKING.

  • I dont know how you (Gov. Perdue) can take money away from State Employees. And still have the ball(s) to have State Troopers escort you. ASHAME ASHAME ASHAME ASHAME

  • Your prison system is just like you full of lies

  • go to hell you liar, i have a family to take care of what the fuck do you care. i work at job full of stress. you know this is the only job i have work where someone of the street makes as much as me a 8 yr vet of the job bite me

  • finally, we find a governor of a southern state who can annunciate, and everyone finds a problem with her.

  • Take some of that ridiculous salary you and your fellow govt officials make and put it to better use instead of raising our taxes so you can live your happy little rich lives.Your North Carolinians are having it rough out here, and you are only supplementing the problem.

  • You're a crook. You have led no fight to protect anything. You have cut state employees incomes considerably. And what we have now is not SO MUCH BETTER as you put it. In fact its much worse.Hands On Governor? You should say Hands In Everyones Wallet Governor.

  • How did this woman ever get elected?

  • Unfortunately, we have too many blind sheep in our state who know how to mark an "x."

  • so you and your staff can take money out of my check that was never the states' to begin with (i'm paid on grant money), force me to take unpaid vacation days, take away some of the education options available as a state employee, but i can't make a smart ass comment on your video without your staffers flagging and deleteing it?

have fun moving into political obsucrity after this term is over bev.

  • I hope this idea will be looked seriously.

I think inmates need to take on some of the responsiblity of their healthcare. Yes some are not financially able right now. But just like other tax payers, when you get a job, file a return, beleive me the state will take the money from your return.

Because so many inmates are getting medical attention that they would not dare get while on the streets. The "celebrities" that are incarcerated can afford to pay for their medical care right now!!!!!!!

  • welll, you've already wasted thousands and thousands on the BEACON system...

  • The legislature may be surprised that after the beating teachers and state workers took this year efforts to unionize in order to protect these workers begins to be seriously discussed.

  • A pitiful attempt to save face with State Employees. It's too late Bev. Accept the fact that you are already a failed one term Governor. If you were serious about saving the state money you wouldn't have hired an Education CEO to replace an elected official simply because you didn't like her. Then fight and loose that in court at what cost to the State? You're probably a good person, but you are a horrible executive. State Employees will continue to suffer until at least until the next election

  • How about Bevvie quits hiring these people to work for her that do absolutely nothing @$130,000+/year salaries when there's supposedly a hiring freeze in effect???

  • State Workers have done so much with so little for so long, that we can now do everything with nothing immediately... Thanks, Gov'nor Bev!!!

  • 3 minutes and 48 seconds to give out a link? This is a waste of everyones time.

  • I know , how about the $30,000 worth of rare wood from Africa to build your cabinet members new desks ? How about using the desks we all use that are 20 years old . If its good enough for me its good enough for you !

  • The State of North Carolina pays millions of dollars each year to upkeep a technological infrastructure and software system that is unnecessarily expensive and inflexible, and results in our money leaving the state, never to return.

The solution to this situation is open source software. Open Source products are generally free, are always flexible, and can help ensure that the money we spend on technology stays here in North Carolina rather than going elsewhere.

  • Two Words! Just Pray!

  • Get back to work every day... every single day...

Oh! except during that furlough day, but you can come in and work then too, if you'd like...

    \(o_O)/

  • It's probably a trap - they'll come pull our computers and see we were on YouTube during work hours and we'll all get canned. That'll save the state some big "bucks".

  • I'm no longer worried about my job--I got laid off.

  • We are paying for telephone books? Really? So the pallet of phone books sitting on the Parker Lincoln dock is worth money? Don't use CDs either, use the Internet!

  • clearly, the google is too complex for some state employees

  • Can't we find Congresspeople that at least read off a card well.

  • She has already cut the cheapest labor force in the state - retired state employees who are paid no benefits...yet still keeps a top heavy administration in Raleigh who do not earn their salaries!

  • Don't listen to the BS. They just try to rip off money from people. One example, Postdocs ARE NOT state employees. they don't get any benefits from the State. All their salary come from Federal grants. However, they get the same pay cut as other state employees. How to explain this? Governor?

  • The Govenor was dealt a bad hand. Please give her a break and we will get through this. Pray for her and Our State.

  • Stop. Just.....stop. We're sick and tired of having smoke blown up our asses. Stop making it sound like we're out of the woods. We're not. Nowhere close. You've already told us to cut an additional 5% not even a month after signing the budget. In another month you'll tell us to cut more and thank us again. Thank us all you'd like....we're still worried about our jobs.

  • Our Governor has a Hard job having to deal with problems not of her doing. But Isnt this a State of North Carolina crissis? Then why is it that so far only the State Employees are feeling the brunt of the cuts. We!!, for a long time have been doing more with less! Now our pay has been cut, our benifits have been cut yet again. And finally we are all scared for possible R.I.F.'s to affect our lives. Cut buy people who don't even know how important we are,to state operations. We pay taxes too!!

  • All I heard was, "Hello. I know how to read a teleprompter. See!"

  • Thanks for not eliminating my position. I am thankful to have a job right now. Good Luck with the challenges ahead.

  • Me too Thanks for allowing me to keep my job.. :-)

  • The state of NC needs politicians that can balance their own check books. You can not have a budget that satisfies everyone. A successful budget is one where no one is happy. If you are serious about a balanced budget, make the tough choices and accept responsibility. State Employees do it everyday, why not ask the same from our representatives.

  • can someone clarify whether or not illegal immigrants are allowed into our school system and at what level of tuition they are bound by? i heard someone make a statement that illegal immigrants are indeed allowed into the system at a local resident tuition level. is this true?

  • She is leading us through one of the worst crisis in history...most of us still have a job, aside from some real issues with mental health and substance abuse, I am so grateful for the leadership she has given...We are blessed. I cannot imagine how horrible things would be had the results of the election last year had been different. Those who complain are just not grateful for what we truly have. Thank you Governor. Thank you!

  • How many deaf employees in the state cannot get this message, I wonder.

  • Yeah, you've got a good point, it wouldn't have taken too much effort to have it closed captioned, or have a person in the bottom corner, sign the message.

  • That would have cost money.

  • She fought to protect us. She could have reaised my taxes. She could have raised all of our taxes and that would have been better than the "Candidate for Education" causing more educators to lose their jobs than any candidate in the history of NC

  • Wasn't the NC Sales tax increased?

  • I totally agree. tomorrows workers are not getting educated today.
