  • This scene and song are forever a part of who I am--and what we have lost as a nation. The most moving scene I have ever seen--and heard!

  • After reading the (andrelebaron) comment i feel compelled to say it was exactly that sort of mentality that killed JFK , it is frightening to think someone cannot run for public office without putting their life at risk

  • Jackie was a very strong woman, its bad enough for some widows to see thier husbands die peacfully, she witnessed her husband get shot in the head and held his dying body all the way to the hospitle, and she was very composed in public, I don't know how she could do that, i couldn't have. God bless JFK.

  • The innocent blood will not be wasted and some day, somewhere that truth will be discoverd and in that day I hope just to see GHW Bush alive and his reaction

  • great funeral. Kennedy really doesn't stand up to the test of history, I mean he was attending summits with Khruschev on drugs, but it was a great funeral. It must have been really heart wrenching back in those days before we knew how evil the kennedys were.

  • Jackie has been the most beautiful of first ladies.!

  • The great JFK, gone but never forgotten!

  • amercia was so different

  • jackie was such a lady no one can be like her

  • Unbearable grief for a nation that felt the pain of a fallen leader like Kennedy. Walls of poor people still has his photo in Appalachia and Navajo Reservations. Amazing.

  • @Marx1958 President Kennedy is remembered, around the world, for his great work of peace, justice and freedom, one of the greatest men of all time, indeed

  • Unbearable grief back in the days of patriotic nation where the draft was in place and respect was the norm.

  • He was not perfect, but a great man. Thank God he was in charge during the Cuba crisis. Thanks.

  • shitt this is too sad.

  • 7:50 - 7:58 - Heartbreaking.

  • The course of history at the time was at its penical for American power and strength. We had just ventured into outer space and Kennedy forwarded the Moon Program. JFK's legacy is that we live in today. Atmospheric Test Ban Treaty still holds up, warned of not using ground forces in Vietnam but using guerilla warfare and created the Green Berets. . Reagan should have been impeached for the Iran Contra affair.

  • Not to forget the containment of Cuba and preventing a nuclear war between the Soviet Union. Reagan was part of what Ford, and Carter began to end. JFK was improved our nations economy as well. He told steel executives to roll back steel prices.

  • The Elite killed him! He was going to get rid of the CIA like Ron Paul if he made President.

And after that secret society speech he gave that signed his death certificate!

The Elite need to be assassinated!

  • @C64Lee

    what are you on man!!!!

  • I was born 8 years later, but it's still so sad to see John and Caroline. How little they were.

  • It's wonderful to see history as it happened. Even the tragic events. They remind us of what will happen to all of us. And I do believe in the end we get the same space in the ground no matter who you are. I hate those who think they are better than the rest of us.

  • I dont know how they could compare Reagan as a president in general to JFK. The man almost starved to death the lower income families, even went as far as to say on TV that the American people had seen the 'last of the big spenders.' Ridiculous. JFK was a man apart, and the great always go before the rest. God bless JFK, and the Kennedy family, for all that you have went through.

  • @c4bl3s

  • Jackie hated Mansfield's reference to the ring on his finger.

  • Reagan was just old and it was time for him to die. He had lived his life. I don't understand people like you. What is your problem. Just down right hateful. I don't know how you could compare this man's funeral to Reagan's funeral!!

  • Reagan was almost twice as old as JFK when he died

  • Shut up about Reagan! This poor man was shot down!

  • Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this great post. I was born barely a year before he was killed. My parents being from the deep South (Alabama) were so much in love with the kennedy family. He gave hope to us who were black and treated so unfairly. he gave us his life as did his brother and though I was not alive during his time I wil never forget him or his love for America! God Bless America!

  • Thanks for taking the time to post this world historic event.

  • Very touching!Dream lives on!

  • Mike Mansfield's eulogy was magnificent.

  • Sure was. That kind of eloquence seems dead nowadays, more's the pity.

  • .....that kind of love is gone.

  • No. That kind of eloquence was seen at Reagans Funeral. Its not dead just hidden. People are lazy until the time is right.

  • You're right, of course. I'd forgotten about some of those who spoke in memory of President Reagan --

  • @bachrub Really? I think he should have been shot for it. Talk about twisting the knife. Saying that right in front of Mrs. Kennedy and Caroline.
