  • It looks a lot different, when its covered in snow (and ice in a few places) from the cab of a diesel truck. I drove that route one winter a few years ago, and a guy in a convertible flew past me like it was a sunday drive. Crazy!

  • Yep, it's still scary.

  • Just made this trip this january after a snow storm, Road was ice packed and we were pulling a 3/4 ton truck on a trailer, We actually had to wait for them to shoot slides (avalanches) before we could pass talk about a scary trip wont due it again during the winter!! It is beautiful though!!

  • drove that a few years ago,Let me tell ya, my hands were sweatin , I had a semi pass me,saw dents in the road from falling rocks and saw some huge rocks laying right in the road. Im suprised that road is even legal. lol great time it was but damn

  • id be going 5 miles an hour

  • how does the strom cope with this terrain? any mods you've done for suspension?

  • It like the twisties a LOT. Red mtn pass is all "paved" in that unique colorado definition of "pavement" (surface of the moon in places.) For any kind of two up work I consider the Ohlin's rear shock a total must. The stock suspension is way to squishy with two people to be good on the road.
