not really, they do have some similarites, but the SP has a bunch of cc's and slows unlike WoW's warlock

Something that takes lots of skill doesn't make it good. What makes it good is it's art. Like some people enjoy old fashion painting while others enjoy modern art. If the art gives you a feeling you enjoy, doesn't matter if someone did it in 5 minutes or 5 days.
