I've watched several interviews with him, and I get the feeling that he's just unaccustomed to speaking on camera. If you've ever had to do it, you know it can be a little unnerving -- you don't want to misspeak or say something that could be taken out of context, so you don't speak as naturally or fluently as you would under normal circumstances. He spoke onstage the other night, and he sounded perfectly smooth and confident. I think he's just operating WAY outside his comfort zone here.
