Personally, I've always felt that the Nick Cave (studio) version of 'The Mercy Seat' has so much going on musically that it's impossible to fully make out, and appreciate the lyrics.
I never fully 'got it' until I heard Johnny Cash's cover version, which is also worth hearing.
Anyway, on the general theme of Camille being fabulous, I thoroughly agree. Her interpretation of Cave's 'The Ship Song' is sensational.
@AbieLaughs Its a bit of a late reply but you should if you haven't already, watch nick's performance, (possibly in Dublin) of it recently. much slower, rawer. Fantastic song Anyway its served up though :P

She is awesome, magnificent, obviously not BETTER than Nick Cave's original but as good, definitely as good.

Nick Cave does better renditions. But I must admit, she is amazing, very emotive.

This woman is a goddess. I've never heard anyone do Nick Cave renditions better than her.

Aside from Nick Cave himself, that is... Right?

Dude, that's a given. ;) I should have been more specific, I suppose. No one COVERS Nick Cave songs better than her.
