The VW Beetle convertible at 1:30 looks just like the one my dad had when I was very small, it was the 1st car to me, he would drive to the beach with the top down, we had fun at that time, but it eventually broke down I think I was 4, my dad had it in one of his properties, I felt so bad when it broke down, it felt like I lost a family member. RIP 1960s VW Beetle I don't know the model year, I was too young to know.

Chances are most of those parts kept other Beetles on the road. Or maybe it's the leftovers from a massive dune buggy factory somewhere? I sold a '68 for a hundred bucks because I figured letting someone make a buggy from it was better than watching it rot away. It had a welded pan and my dad didn't think it was roadworthy, yet we went airborne in it several times without a problem...

A few of them can be restored. It just takes someone with time, money, and something that is rare in this age of the disposable mindset, Skill. I don't have the money to restore cars, but I do restore classic computers. I've restored a Macintosh 512k thats been left outside for a year. Whether its a car, a computer, or anything, as long as there's enough of it that's salvageable, it can be restored.
