i have a job so i buy them. they are new tho. I stay away from barnes and nobels and tend to shop online at amazon tho. they have the best prices for books. i get good deals =]

You might check out The Great & Secret Show by Clive Barker...my favorite book ever. Also, after that, read the sequel, Everville. Literary awesomeness...
Might I make a suggestion? You probably haven't read it, probably never will. But I'd love to know what you think of "The World According to Garp", by John Irving. I read that in high school, amazing, amazing, amazing. Made me cry, which books rarely do. Anyway, yeah. Go reading!

Hitchhiker's guide was awesome and I'll be starting restaurant at the other end of the universe soon and I just picked up His Dark Materials and I think I'll be able to finish before you, especially if you've been on page 13 for 8 months.
Although, all that will have to wait because I'm currently reading Dune by Frank Herbert.
