Normally legato I would say.

Skin contact, no bouncing. Accents/grace notes and syncopation now and then for variation, but the steady quarter note walking bass line is the foundation.

Listening tips: as always Jimmy Smith, but when it comes to left hand jazz organ walking bass lines Richard 'Groove' Holmes was maybe the best.

The Organ Grinder's Swing is always on my short list :-)

It is a wonderful song, and the best version in my book is the 1965 trio version: Jimmy Smith, Kenny Burrell and Grady Tate, on the record with the same name.

Another great version is the 1993 trio recording: Jimmy Smith, Kenny Burrell and Jimmie Smith, from the record 'The Master'.

I have very little experience with plug-in's, although I know that some of them are very good!

4-octave (49 keys?) sounds a bit too little in my ears. 61 keys would be better, as you will need space for your left hand bass lines. If it is possible to split the keyboard and have a dedicated area for the deep bass it will sound better. But, I'm no expert at all here...

Hi Jesse Now you've got a great keyboard! My Nord C1 has no specific functions for keyclick adjustments. That came with the successor, Nord C2. Here are my settings for this song: Upper 88 8000 000. Chorus C2. Percussion On, Soft, Fast, Third. Lower 80 8000 000. Chorus On. Bass lower manual 80. Leslie simulator Stop position. Equalizer Treble -5dB, Mid -5dB, Bass 0dB. Overdrive/Drive Off. Reverb Hall, Soft, 40%. Tonewheel mode Vintage 2. Keep swinging, Rounder
