  • @ducnguyen1994 its on the Galaxy Nexus

  • Google owns BlindType now... Hmmmmm

  • it is still a touchscreen... buttons forever :)

  • he almost wrote anus.

  • what if your typo is caused by typing one too many/one too few characters?

  • WTH?

  • I wonder what Google did with is...

  • this feature has been created by 2 greek boys and google bought it.the amount of money we dont know.T9 costed 514 millions

  • this feature has been created by 2 greek boys and google bought it.the ammount of money we dont know.T9 costed 514 millions

  • HTCs android keyboard has done that for 2 years now

  • @jne91DK never heard about that...

Please give a reference in writing ;)

  • @Pifaloux Google bought the company. I guess they were convinced. :-)

  • text n drive text n drive

  • Google bought BlindType, does that mean no BlindType for Shit iPhone ?

    that were awesome

  • @m4c1990

    Well played Google, well played...

  • @m4c1990

Sorry man... Blame BlindType - they sold out. Unless Apple was stupid enough to think that their system is better. lmfao.. we all WISH it was.

  • Looks promising but I could not find this as an application. You can try GKOS immediately on your iPhone or Android. It has visible keys though, but they are few and big. Suit for big thumbs.

  • PLEASE check out SNAPKEYSS, everyone HAS TOOOO CHECK IT OUT!!! just go to SNAPKEYS ON YOUTUBE.....Tell me it is not amazing, it is the only real MOBILE DATA ENTRY SYSTEM, Go to SNAPKEYS ON YOUTUBE AND LOOK FOR YOURSELF!

  • @sblake2244 HOLY SHIT!!! SNAPKEYS FUCKING DESTROYS THIS!!!

  • look at snapkeys on you tube this is the only one solution

  • perfect for fat fingers!

  • DeafDial coming up next.

  • @Andruiu

    What??

    ;)

  • Thi...s..... is..... Breath..........taki...ng

  • O_O wow... that is freakin awesome... and of course google bought it XD

  • No wonder google buy them out..

  • drunk texting will never be the same!

  • @crapcake101 ahaha. finding new and innovative ways to make sure people receive drunk texts, everyday. yay...

  • Mobile Mouse is way cooler!

  • @JustAnomis Well, I guess that, now google bought the rights for this one, is not that fake. Just google it.. :)

  • Rhiz iz Gemioys!

  • Finally!

  • WOW

  • From eweek dot com

"Google Buys BlindType to Keep it from Apple's iPhone, iPad"

  • i wiosh i hafd thgis :(

  • Stuned

  • This is extremely cool.

  • yep coming to Android 3.0 soon :D

  • BlindType rulezz !

  • WOWWW.

i literally said 'omg' when the 2nd and 3rd part of the video popped up.

  • Good software is indistinguishable from magic :) This is magic.

  • android already does pretty good word correction, but this crazy

  • fascynujace! :D

  • at 1:55 when he typed "the" it came up with sex :) :D

  • How do you figure making people user their brains less? This only allows for hand eye accuracy I believe you still need to know how to type for this to work. Especially on the invisible keyboard. It looks like it's a combination of T9 and relative touch to each key press. You still need to have meant to hit in the direction of the right key in relation to the last key you pressed.

  • WT....thats some amazing stuff right there, not even Sci-Fi movies have something like that

    Hats down for the developers...

  • This is the same thing SwiftKey has already done for a long time now! SwiftKey literally reads your mind by predicting your next word, also. SwiftKey has also been the number one app on the Market for over 3 weeks. I don't see how this keyboard is in any way better... could anyone explain how it is better?

  • @dankish Did you even watch the later parts of the video?

The invisible keyboard and typing on ANY part of the screen is seriously amazing. And keyboard adjusting sizes when you type? Not even Sci-Fi movies have this.

  • WHAT SORCERY IS THIS

  • How does it work?

  • stupid.

  • it is still paaaainfully slow

  • @boohiss3 Watch the end of the video...

  • Oh dear! Looks like google bought the company. The vid may have been better if they had average Joe/Jane types to prove how well it works. Google has to have this technology as Android softkeyboard really sucks.

  • How do i get this keyboard? for android?

  • While that is pretty awesome, it's just going to make teens fail at english even more >.<

  • how the...?!

  • I love it can you add custom words and shit?

  • the related videos here are so random --->

old spice commercial, katy perry, double rainbow, starcraft II etc.

what does that have to do with blind type?

  • Hah looks almost too good to be true, if it works and there is an easy way to change between different written words that use the same letters this could become huge.

  • Awesome

  • EHI, YOU ARE THE BEST...

  • That's pretty crazy!!! that would be awesome to have a blank pad on a lap top, desk top and input the blindtype..... that app can really revolutionize typing in whole...

  • annoying noise though, but surely you can turn that off

  • when i can pay for that in the app store??

  • Turkish iPhone users look forward for the Turkish language support ;)

  • If it could also choose the language I need to type in, then it'd be a dream coming true :-)

  • i just got a huge boner.

  • must be bull shit

  • If it is real I want it but I think this has to be a fake no way....... Can you get it for Open Office?

  • tick tick tick vroom x 100 times

  • This demonstration is better than standard use though. For instance every word he types is the first choice without him having to use the correction popups, that would be because he typed this out beforehand and the device would remember his preference for those words. A good thing of course but don't expect it to always be right like in this video, unless you repeat yourself a lot ;)

  • @braddeicide It doesn't work rely on statistics and memorization, it works by figuring out the orientation and then analyzing the differences in length between key strokes to determine the size of the keyboard. It relies on the fact that while you may not judge distances correctly you will make the same misjudgment in a consistent fashion for all the letters, thus enabling the software to guess what you meant.

  • its like T9

  • what happens if you mispell a werd?

  • They show this, it fixes it.

  • @braddeicide no, i mean, if you spekk octopus as say oktupass, or something where there are a differnt number of letters, or the letters are in a completely differnt location to the ones you meant to type.... i dont remember it showing THAT...

like, how i almost wrote remember as rember - would it be able to fix that and other 1337 speek-ish phrases etc

  • That's practically destroying the software in it.

  • Swype is still way faster for a phone, but this is pretty cool for an iHaveTooMuchMoney

  • I understand how it works, its some algorithim i will upload a video explaining it

  • hold anywhere for period?? nice

  • Apple wouldn't approve, but they should buy this tech

  • Is he typing that on a iPAD? cause last time i checked they invented blind type for android powered devices

  • want. now.

  • holy sh*t.. .

    WANT.

  • FAKEEEEEEE

  • @daonewecall Yah it's fake that is why he has the patent numbers for it on the video. Dumbass...

  • how the fuck does it know what word you wanna type ?

  • Coool T_T

  • he is actually hitting the letter right next to the one he wants ant the program tries different combination of real word with letters close to the ones he typed

  • @Pifaloux The words and hit-points are "geometrically" close on the keyboard. The software looks for a word which is closest to the points where your finger hits. The closest word is what you most likely meant. If you are too far away, it won't work.

  • amazing

  • i want it

  • Wlweluy !!! Not really using it

  • @Pifaloux this a spatial map that refers to the QWERTY keyboard and compares your input to an English language dicttionary and adds text prediction. The circles for pattern matching are based on vectors. So this is totally doable and a very innovative use of geometry and pattern recognition.

  • However this must be fake in some ways. First of all when he is writing the words there are some tricks that if you are smart you will see them. He uses exactly letters as the word mistyped and in the sentences uses words like "small or" and the next word would be seklloe=smaller. But it is lot better then the usual writing.

  • Bull fucking shit! Another software designer who purports to work magic.

  • Amazing! I'll buy it.

  • fake

  • seems fake

  • Wow, hopefully it will be multilanguage

  • quero 1 desses muito Foda!

  • Great concept!

I agree. They should rebrand as: Drunk Type, but i guess blind type is more PC! lol!

jbhjkbsalo ijsldknasd ok/lwbtytfdd ;omzbjuh a osdckn.knwdkqwhd lknsdknashuio pOSJ

THATS SOME DRUNK TYPE FOR YA!

  • WANT!!!!...for Android, though.

  • multilanguage?

  • yeah, maybe try to get it on android too when all things is settled.

  • you need to put this somewhere where it will be aloud like on android

  • @GabeZTV The site of Blindtype says: Supporting all major devices, including iPhone, iPad and Android phones.

  • WTF????

  • u guys are going to make bank from this

  • people who use the typing sound are annoying attention whore fags.

  • this could take me away from swype. i love swype but make lots of errors in it. this paired with swype input would be amazing

  • this is stupid

  • I hate auto correction, I always type without such things, because it is so slow when a word is missing -.-

  • You are going to make millions. And now my girlfriend won't know I'm drunk without her because of my texts.

  • If Apple don't accept this in App Store or buy this to make it an iOS feature, then Apple sucks

  • This can't be real o-o Can someone explain how "typing anywhere" can be recognized to something?

  • @MarquesZero easy -- algorithms.

  • oh, SWEET!!

  • Ehem...

When you want to buy a keyboard to your computer, you want a keyboard that flies thru the air moving the key to your fingers automatically because he reads what you want to type?

every keyboard is different, get used to it and you will success. The keyboard DOES NOT NEED to get used to you

  • i use swype to blind type, and i type faster.

  • Fuck software patents!

  • A yes new ways to help people be more dumb. Thumbs up if you don't need that.

  • Very Nice.

  • just like speedtyping on numerical keypads. useless.

try typing a website url or technical jargon. it only works for kids talk

  • Holy Crap

  • Wow this should be integrated in all touchscreen smartphones by default. Amazing work!

  • Damn this is the utterly best usage of technology to help people. The blind naturally have to learn the layout of a standart keyboard first, but this is fantastic. Would love to have it on my phone.

  • Coming with swedish dictionary?

  • amazing!

  • WOW.

  • It's pretty amazing but it's just going to make people even lazier typists than they already are.

  • incredible

  • What about writing NAMES on it? Also needs a huge world wide languages database and abbreviations, such like ; omg, wth, wtf, lol, asap, imo,... including other languages abbreviations. Without names, abbreviations, and a buch of other words exclusives to eletronics, aviation, chemistry, physics, in all main languages on the world, it would simply cut off your words switching to common words. That's a pretty insane project. Hope it get done well, that would be cool.

  • BlindType-好强大的输入法,iOS的输入法的确需要改进,尤其是中文!

  • how can it be possible??? I have doubts :S

  • 'In other news, Apple has recently acquired rights to a developers work, due to release new auto-correcting keyboard algorithms..'

  • This is the type of innovation I've been looking for. I could use an all touch device with this. First time I've felt that way.

All I need now is a Symbian and MeeGo version.

  • this definitely looks great but what about numbers or special characters such as the question mark or hash ?

  • fake ;)

  • It might still be useful to people with a physical disability. For example, people with one hand.Less work, nearly the same productivity as with two.

  • I wonder how this software finds out what a person wants to type without hitting the correct buttons and without knowing the thoughts. ;) It cannot mind read,so something's not right here. And even though certain words have a certain length,i doubt that only this fact is used to find out the desired word.

Might be "amazing",but imo. this will make people dumber, since no one will THINK anymore about what to write, the software will make the brain lazy with this.

  • @Assasinchen2006 it looks like it compares mistakes made with letters close together on a keyboard, rather than just letters close in the alphabet (so "vsr" would correct to a word that matches the length as well as surrounding letters on keyboard, such as "cat" in this case.) People will still need to plan the text in their mind, this just reduces typos

  • @TitaniumNation hmmm,sounds plausible.Thanks :)

  • so wonderful i hope apple accept it

  • I would jailbreak my iPhone for this killer app alone if Apple doesn't let this into their App Store.

  • When is this coming out!?

  • great, 1 more thing to make us lazier

  • Nice. Now I can type with my penis

  • @Mircix

    LAWL

  • @Mircix XD

  • @Mircix Its because the keyboard gets smaller right? So now it fits!

  • Nasty. Nice job.

  • Scaling and smart orientation are interesting, but no breakthrough or revolutionary.

  • Comment removed

  • Not a new idea. There are many keyboards, at least for Android, that do that sort of predictive text. And yes, the sound is annoying!

  • OMG just upload it to the appstore! PLEASE!

  • I WANT IT! GIMME GIMME GIMME!

  • this thing will definately make it big with all the buttonless touch screen phone entering the market now. definately look forward towards using this

  • wow thats just sooo awesome! these people are gonna get pretty much rich, this technology is revolutionary... btw, i wouldnt like to be the coder.. id go mad

  • :D you could probably type without looking a lot easier too!!

  • I so want this. Makes chatting on iphone bearable!

  • Pretty cool but that secondary "gasping" sound when the list of words pops up is EXTREMELY annoying!

  • I don't care how much this costs. I am buying it the day it releases for Android. Being able to type anywhere on the screen with no keyboard?! Pants. Have. Been. Shat.

  • DAMN! Blindtype kicks swipe's butt!

  • DAMN! Blindtype kicks swipe's butt!

  • I will certainly get this for my Android. Im sure there will be a way to disable the sound as not everyone who will use this will be blind....duh ;-)

  • Impressive but hope there's an option to disable the sounds, that's extremely annoying.

  • amazing

    and reddit>digg

  • it's for blind pple then...

  • Pretty neat, but I prefer to NOT to train myself to be lazy with hitting keys.

  • engadget says you guys have an android version too? share a vid?

  • is this for when your drunk?

  • @KelmyProductions *you're
