  • My Mother introduced me to this magical voice back about 64 I loved to hear my mother sing anything from Patsy.

  • I don't care who sings this song, OneEskimo, Kandi Staton, Patsy....it's a beautiful song and I think many of us have lived it. My god, Patsy can sing the phone book and bring me to tears. Miss you, Mrs. Cline.

  • i think i read when she recorded this album she said the first and the last -- and she knew some how that she would die soon -- so sad -- i wish she had lived forever -- i guess in er songs she does in some way - but still not the same as if she was here --

  • Tugs at my heart..Memories sweet but painful, sad but cherished

  • Cool slideshow, a little fast for the song but a lot of good photos and video clips.

  • I've always wondered what more Patsy would have accomplished if she had lived longer.

  • When Patsy listened to the playback of this song or was it That's My Desire she thought it sounded it dirty, LOL. I think it sounds beautiful!

  • @jkalin196511 She called it dirty, we call it sexy...same thing...H.O.T.! If she was here NOW, that bold woman would agree. :-)

  • her voice is so beautiful yet so haunting isnt it ? it just stays with you

  • pattsy voice is the most best i have ever heard

  • March 5, 1963, should be called "The Day the Music Died," for my money. Cline, Copas, Hawkins. it happened a month before I was born, but I learned to love Patsy's amazing voice hearing her songs played on country radio in the '70s and '80s.

  • Wow!! takes be back to my childhood xx

  • Wow!!

  • although this is not the original version, Patsy Cline will always be the only one who ever sang it, to me. My mom turned me onto her when I was a teenager and patsy got me through many hard times in my life. RIP Patsy Cline!

  • Candi Staton sang it better

  • Sang as only Patsy could sing it wonderful!

  • Heard it by one eskimo( they got me started )..THEN BY CANDI STATON great but when I heard this I felt the aura and goosebumps on the first note...Thak you Patsy and Legend and and ICON..God bless everyone that has a musical ear and led me here...

  • wow what a sexy voice

  • yes !! what a great singer !!! touched all from the old days till,us , today !!! One of great one !!!

  • Does anyone know if Patsy was the first to record this or was it a remake?

  • @skyiscrying53 Patsy was the original singer of this song, and the only one that counts. I can't figure out why anyone would ever bother to waste their time remakeing one of Patsy's originals. Once she did it, it was done to perfection, period. Nobody could ever touch her-not then, not now. Lisa Layne runs a close second-she is definitely awesome, but Patsy was the one and only. It just doesn't get any more perfect than that. Every time I hear her voice I fall in love with her all over again.

  • @HalfFastChevy from my point of view Patsy Cline to me was a real seductive singer. I have to admit I like watching old video clips of her singing. I think secertly she had a lil soul in her to. But I have to tell you after doing some research (not just Wikipedia) Patsy was not the FIRST artist to record this. She Called Me Baby was first recorded by Harlan Howard the composer and then Charlie Rich(males versions) The first female version was by singer

Jan Howard who was Harlan's wife.

  • @toriano33 Interesting - I always thought Patsy's was the original recording. Learn something new every day. Thanx for the info. I still think hers is the best version though.

  • GREAT VIDEO!!!

  • wonderfull

  • You haven't lived if you never had a cold one in a dive with Patsy playing.

  • @elephantinrm Rite on brother.

  • What a gorgeous soulful vocal...different from Nancy Wilson version but love them both...have moms double "The Patsy Cline Story" and this brings back memories of teen years in the 60's playing Patsy Cline with my precious mom who I miss and think of every day...her favorite singer sounds awesome all these years later...Bravo Mom & Patsy

  • This is fantastic! I adored the song first time I heard the Candi Staton version and I never knew she sang it. I always thought it had a slightler older sound to it and I thought it was more a Aretha Franklin era singer. So I was surprised to see it was Candi, and now I recognize. This is a true classic in that it spans Patsy Cline to One Eskimo...and I LOVE THEIR VERSION!!

  • @bijoumanley Heard Candi's and Nancy Wilson years ago, but it was One Eskimo that got me to listen to this version. Their version is amazing too.

  • This is a good song first time i heard this version. I heard One Eskimo version first and noticed that Patsy did it oringinally. She does a great version also.

  • How many female country new comers try to do her style and FAIL?

    L OVE ya Patsy.

  • Patsy was the greatest ever and this is one of her best. Nobody will ever touch her.

  • Wow I am truly blown away! The affects of the actual slide show are great, the pictures and song....everything is remarkable! You must have an expensive slide show program haha! Good work upst8!! I really did enjoy it and I love it!!

  • @FabulosityGuy It was an older version of something called "muvee" - there's a newer one onow with a 15 day free trial you can download. Thanks!

  • Songs holds a special place in my heart.

  • So beautiful it's scary....

  • Oh Patsy..what a wonderful voice!! This was one of me & my mom's favorite songs. I recently lost my mom, and listening this I can all but hear her singing right along like so many times before. RIP Patsy & mom.

  • @shaka403 Sorry about your loss - thanks for the nice comment

  • @shaka403 me too i lost my mom recently and i grieve for her so much this was her favorite singer also and mine too this is my favorite patsy cline song

  • Thanks for the upload, What a beautiful voice :)

  • what a wonderful song. What a voice, what a woman.

  • She was the best female singer of all time. What a loss there are so many great songs she could have made even better with her feeling and great style.

  • Very nice. It sounds so ♥ melancholic.Thanks.

The Definitive Collection is the name of an album of popular and talented country singer Patsy Cline's, I would like to buy me.

The album consists of early 60's all Cline's big hits. It also features their signature tune, "Crazy", as well as their other big hit "I Fall To Pieces", hits with her 1963, and also singles released after her death, as "He called me Baby" and "Always" "Walkin 'After Midnight"

  • Thank you so much for this. God bless Patsy Cline.

  • "Hey Randy, ain't that a mountain goat?"

  • Whoa!!! This is such a moment of musical profundity...44-47 years later and Candi Staton and One Eskimo can call her bluff and assemble such utter genious!

  • Greate and very romantic song. I really like it.

  • Gawd I luv Harlen Howards way with words ....one of the best ever!!!!!!!, Not to mention Patsy....... and one eskimo's version with the Candi Staton over dubs .. incredible!!!!

  • Låten är super, sjungen av vår värds fina sångerskor.

  • All these years later and the tragedy of losing Patsy is still raw! We have never, not sure if we'll ever again, have such a pure, unique voice as hers! You are still missed Patsy.

  • @JetstreamConcepts AYMENN BROTHA!!!

  • Love the song, but the slide show is horrid...wtf generated that? waaaaaaay to spastic....

  • One fantastic woman. Others that followed, owe her big time!

  • super koool.

  • i love this song always have

  • Greatest voice ever.

  • Thanks for Posting! I miss you Baby and your sweet love Pete,,,I know you cannt come to me ,But I can come to you my darling,,,Iam still loving you and hearing your sweet voice saying baby baby to me each and every nite. And only in my dreams can we be together now until my life here on earth is done. Then we can be together once again.

  • Good Gawd!~is that cool!!!...I had no idea Patsy did this so long ago and so well!! thanks for posting!

  • One Eskimo got me interested in the song, so I'm listening to the earlier versions, this one is by Patsy Cline, a legend and a class act.! Thanks

  • Thank you truly for posting this....

Unless y'all are gonna do a better job, chill!

I am just happy to have the song on you tube; the photos are great!

  • Great Video.

    R.I.P. Patsy

  • Thanks for this. you did a good job upst8, but if you could just slow down the photo montage to match the tempo of the song it would be 10x better. When Ken Burns did his majic with Civil War images it was not at a "Hollywood Minute" pace. Again = thanks

  • the video was created with a free product that came with my laptop called "Muvee" I threw a bunch of pictures in it (and some vidfeo) and an mp3 of the song and that's what popped out. Maybe there's a way to slow down the transitions, I don't know. you don't otherwise have a lot of control over it.

  • @upst8 Open the project. Select "Personalize" Select "Duration" Now you can either let the program delete photo/video or you can have the music loop. Or you can check the length of the audio, select the appropriate number of photos and select how many seconds each photo is displayed by selecting the photo and clicking the down arrow at the bottom.

  • @upst8 Use fewer photos/video

    1. Check the length of the audio in seconds

    2. Select a photo/video

    3. Click the down arrow at the bottom of the photo/video

    4. Select the number of seconds it should display

    5. A bit of trial and error is required

  • We should all really thank Harlan Howard who wrote a beautiful song that's spanned so many years and genres.

  • Agreed - it is a well written song and he deserves much credit. Charlie Rich covered it, too.

  • WTF @ the photo editing in this. How is it my attention span is being overwhelmed by B&W pictures of Patsy Cline? (And believe me, I wish and wait to be overwhelmed by Patsy Cline.)

  • Too bad. What did you want me to do, show a 45 rpm record spinning around for the whole thing?

  • Pandimo-nium. The One Eskimo version is close to going viral.

  • Now I get it. Thank you Patsy. Thank you Candi. Thank you One Eskimo.

  • @mls633 "Now I get it." -- my thoughts exactly! Heard Kandi today, decided to trace its roots. What a fascinating journey, and I've definitely learned something.

Most interesting for me is that this song is about a man who leaves a woman, and the One eskimO song is about a woman who leaves a man. Funny how stories change depending on who's telling bits of them...

  • Did exactly the same this morning... LOL Serious..Had to find the roots also.Great song and has been redone awesome by Candi Station & One Eskimo!!!

  • I was going to post the same. Got to love Patsy Cline's vocals. Wow I miss my nanna listening to this. Such a Moving voice. Hurts to listent .Yet ilove it at the same time because it comes from a time filled with love.

  • That's why I made this - the same t hing happened to my wife and she couldn't find the song on here, so I created the video out of images from Google and voila!

  • See - these fan-made videos do sell records! (Just not Patsy's) Although, sometimes there is an ad that displays on this to download this mp3 from Amazon, I hope people are clicking on it.

  • One Eskimo has made Patsy's estate some money. Great to see it!

  • Patsy Cline was the best ever!!

  • This song brings back so many good memories :)

  • One of the best "Patsy Cline"

    Thanks for share.

  • @StratBurns you are very welcome, it's a good one, alright. I was born a few months later!

  • Thanks for sharing! *****

  • You sure have great taste in music Anne. :)
