I haven't really understood if people are blind or just jealous to not admit she is the best bellydancer (in this style) today... because it's not something subjective, it's simply obvious that she's got the best technique and control... and she's even better this year because she's added gracefulness to her dance...

@PsychopathicIdiot I agree, though I just wanted to add, that Didem dances a variety of styles of bellydancing and I believe other types of dance, though I'm no expert on all that. My personal favorite are her drum solo's. You are probably referring to her modern style. I danced for years in heels like hers, but just like everyone else, I took them off to "bellydance" because I thought it was impossible to hold your posture and dance gracefully. Didem is amazing.

Years ago I checked her out at the advice of a Turkish friend. To be honest I thought she was gorgeous and a good freestyle dancer, but not much of a bellydancer.

Her recent videos are SUCH an improvement!

I came to really really liking her!!

She's interpreting also Arab songs now very well - previously I only liked her drum solos and Romany dance. Now she really is a good bellydancer! And these costumes are gorgeous!!

He stopped them and asked the musicians if they practiced it before.. they said no.. and Ibo thought it was playback and when he looked back he realised it was live.. he congratulated them because they were in sync without practicing.. then he wanted crew to play Didem's choice from a recording..
