@rigoletto68 Your reading is totally wrong. My teacher was a Nationalist infantry PVT. He fought with the Japs in so many fronts. It was the KMT soliders that did most of the fightings. They were exhausted after the war and Mao took advantage ot the situation and defeated the Nationalists.The Nationalists NEVER sided with Japs.Your reading is the ultimate insult to our dead KMT heros. Wow, was this what passed for a serious documentary in 1967? Incredibly condescending. Lots of stereotypes, oversimplification, rumour and myth. Was this on TV? Or was it shown in high schools. Seems fankly like a propaganda movie. However, there is at heart a sense that China's communist rule and hostile posture towards the US is an aberration, and this is slowly being borne out in reality.
