@6262323@andydalum2 I agree with 6262323 on this one, these are pop bands, not rock bands...you can tell by the boring progressions and overuse of pitch correction...rock bands do NOT all sound the same...they are creative.. also, most of these bands in this video are screamo anyway. Atreyu for instance is a prime example of that, they used to even bill themselves as screamo on their website. Now they are a pop rock band...listen to "the curse" and then listen to their new stuff.

I swear this sounds like Rock from 10 years ago! Is it just me? I'm not trying to hate. Really not trying to hate! This is just how I hear it. Rock hasn't evolved much from 10 years ago. It either sounds like Nu Metal, Nickelback, or both! Still! Now the song Blame has a different sounding guitar riff but the singing still sounds like stuff I heard 10 years ago. Otherwise, these bands keep playing two/three string power chords on the lowest strings on the the lowest part of the neck!
@LedWilde I do agree agree with you bands these days arn't doing a ton of new stuff but really most everything has been done in the rock genre so i think bands are just playing what suits them plus if i was to make a video of my favorite all in one video would be much better but i try not to repeat in my series
@andydalum2 I have heard "most everything has been done in the rock genre" before there was Grunge and heard it again before there was Nu Metal. But you're right in a way because if you find bands who sound different from these bands anywhere these days, it's kind of stuff that has been done before. I do believe Rock hasn't hit a dead end yet though. Their needs to be more of a variety of sound in the mainstream at least. So many Genres of Rock do exist but only a limited few are mainstream.

It does sound like relationship stories to me. It sounds like the singer is pissed at the world and can't cope. If it moves you I guess it's music.. It just feels like alot of the new stuff sounds real dark and the guitars/ vocalist sound the same and it's just not enjoyable for me to listen to. I love old school Metallica I just think alot of the new bands take themselves way too serious and if they are like they portray in their music they wouldn't be very fun to be around that's all.

As for the 20 years i am pretty sure i'll be listening to the same music. Also just to let you know cd sales are down yes but as of last year online buying of music went up. I went to a five finger death punch concert a few weeks ago was amazing and jam packed. @6262323 rock is dying and its a fact every year they become more pop and ballad, i like all type of rock i like to vary but i can notice a musician from a dumbass listen to pantera now that is a real band real musicians cause they can mix it up and the other hand listen to bless the fall that might actually be the shittiest band ive heard ... but everyone has their opinions and taste. @6262323 @andydalum2 I agree with 6262323 on this one, these are pop bands, not rock bands...you can tell by the boring progressions and overuse of pitch correction...rock bands do NOT all sound the same...they are creative.. also, most of these bands in this video are screamo anyway. Atreyu for instance is a prime example of that, they used to even bill themselves as screamo on their website. Now they are a pop rock band...listen to "the curse" and then listen to their new stuff.

I swear this sounds like Rock from 10 years ago! Is it just me? I'm not trying to hate. Really not trying to hate! This is just how I hear it. Rock hasn't evolved much from 10 years ago. It either sounds like Nu Metal, Nickelback, or both! Still! Now the song Blame has a different sounding guitar riff but the singing still sounds like stuff I heard 10 years ago. Otherwise, these bands keep playing two/three string power chords on the lowest strings on the the lowest part of the neck!

@andydalum2 I have heard "most everything has been done in the rock genre" before there was Grunge and heard it again before there was Nu Metal. But you're right in a way because if you find bands who sound different from these bands anywhere these days, it's kind of stuff that has been done before. I do believe Rock hasn't hit a dead end yet though. Their needs to be more of a variety of sound in the mainstream at least. So many Genres of Rock do exist but only a limited few are mainstream.

It does sound like relationship stories to me. It sounds like the singer is pissed at the world and can't cope. If it moves you I guess it's music.. It just feels like alot of the new stuff sounds real dark and the guitars/ vocalist sound the same and it's just not enjoyable for me to listen to. I love old school Metallica I just think alot of the new bands take themselves way too serious and if they are like they portray in their music they wouldn't be very fun to be around that's all.

@justcorylee shut the fuck up, it's music like this that is bringing back the rock genres, with bands like A7X that remind me of pantera, and Rise Against of bad religion, and even Metallica is bringing out new and good shit, stop living in the past and understand that rock music is still the only genre that has meaning to it. If it wasn't for the bands of the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s we wouldn't have a god damn thing, so be grateful that the bands now use older bands as inspiration. Jackass.

As for the 20 years i am pretty sure i'll be listening to the same music. Plus some of the bands i have in there are unique maybe not big enough to be remembered in 20 years but if people learn of these bands i think they can be. Part of why i make these videos
