This game still haunts me. It had some special kind of dreamy feel with it... - Maybe, because it had 'places' to visit like the maze and waterways in this video, or the moon in the top right corner of the map.
I understand we will be able to edit/build the levels ourselves (as well as play the pre-made ones yes?), will it be possible to import your own soundtracks/sound effects into this, or will you have to rely on the ingame music/effects?
It looks amazing so far though, please don't give up on this gem of a game.
Indeed, it will be possible to use your own sound effects and music. It will also be possible to skin the game with custom textures too.
If you want to do something very specialized, you will even be able to create your own graphics / audio plugins to replace the ones included. Simple interfaces will be provided for this very purpose.
I want to make the game as flexible as possible for mods. :)

I would love to jump on board and write you a cool, new agey minimalist soundtrack, like one that's around an hour long that loops... kinda like Delta from the c64?
Neat, I love that Delta soundtrack (and it's various remixes) - I believe it's taken from the movie Koyaanisqatsi? :)
I'll admit that I'm not too experienced on the musical side of things (I've only used RoseGarden and Audacity with .sf2 files) and it would be great to get some higher quality contributions.
Of course, I would give you credit in the game for the soundtrack too. :)
Looks great :D

is there a chance to try this game out without compiling it which i just can´t do? :(

@meshugeah Not yet because the game is still in development. When the game is finished, then I will provide binary versions.

@ShojiOkamura ok thank you for your response. I will look forward

That looks amazing. I always thought the Commodore 64 version was overrated. It was far too difficult and frustrating.

I loved spindizzy.
What music is that?

You should consider bringing this out on WiiWare when it's done. I believe it would work very well with the Wii controls.

Please, if you got time, finish your great work.

Spindizzy did weird stuff to my brain when I was a kid. I used to have nightmares about blocks of checkered shapes.

Truly amazing. I loved this game in the '80s and it looks from the job you're doing that you love it too. :)

Looks great. Did you make the music yourself?

I composed the music as a MIDI; a friend of mine enhanced it a lot using some synth equipment. :)

Now THAT'S a remake. Beautiful; you even kept the colour schemes. Really hoping I get a go on this.
