Nice gun and video. Read Some of the call of duty kids commenting on the acog. How ignorant can they be! Geez you can switch that sight from gun to gun at the range! Doesn't matter what caliber firearm you have it on! It's a good sight!
What do people not get about a .22. I swear the only people who knock a .22 are people who don't actually own a gun and get their dun info from call of duty. Do you idiots not recognize how cheap and how fun it is to shoot a .22? Probly not cuz u don't own a gun...and yes a .22 is very lethal.
@mahjr26 i agree dude, 5 cents a round compared to 50 cents for .223 and up to a dollar for.30 cal is so much better. If I needed to shoot through body armor I wouldn't want a .22 but I have never ran into that problem and don't think I ever will. (I'm not so much into the shooting people thing)
True fact: more people have been killed by .22 lr round than any other round in the US. I guarantee, if a tweaker broke into my house, I could kill him dead whether I had my .223 or my .22. I hit what I aim at.
To all who complain about the caliber: Yes its a .22 thing is that its nearly a full size .22 so a person can go out and shoot it without busting his budget so that when the time comes to use the larger caliber the only thing that will be different is the amount of recoil.
You guys who are giving him shit about the acog, maybe just possibly do you think he took it off another rifle and put it on that one, and damn for all you know its an airsoft replica
Well you also got to think, even though his optics cost more than the gun, it's more like a one time investment. You don't have to keep it on the cheaper guns, you could always take it off and put it onto any other rifle you want. It's not like his ACOG is forever stuck on the .22
love the scope. But I have a question, can you use CB .22 rounds in that? And if you use rounds that dont eject can you pull the charging handle to eject them manually?
I only shoot CCI mini-mags or Winchester high velocity ammo. These two .22 rounds run flawlessly in the Colt M4 OPS. The rifle does have an adjustment for the speed of the bolt to handle standard velocity ammo.
If a round gets jammed, the proper way to clear the weapon is to:
- Keep the weapon pointed down range.
- Eject the magazine.
- Pull the charging handle and the round will drop out of the bottom of the lower receiver.
@JERRYATIENZA Not sure which model you have or if there is a difference in the one that you bought and the one I recently purchased but there is a way to modify the bolt return. Look up the Colt M4 22lr field strip, clean, adjustment vid. Near the end it shows you how to adjust that bit. Stock it comes adjusted to handle standard velocity ammo but you can max it out so that it works with high velocity ammo.
I was able to fire a .22 short through mine but did not cycle or eject on its own. You have to manually charge the handle, by the way it was very quiet sounded like a cap gun.
My buddy has a GSG-5 and I would take the Colt M4 OPS over the GSG-5 hands down. It is more accurate, jams less and it simulates the balance and feel a real AR-15. It makes for a nice, inexpensive alternative to the AR-15, especially in this bullet crisis we are in.
i have the M4 Carbine in.22 and it jamms up so damn muchi shoot thousands of rounds out of it and clean it almost every day oil every part good and tried changed the bolt spin. I sometimes think i have an old VeitNam M16e1 Assault rifle i get abot 15 to 20 rounds off without a jamm. And yes i said E1 not A1 because the first M16 was called an E1 then a year later they upgraded to an A1
I also have another question (sorry for ask because I must wait mine for a month or so). I am from Europe...
Well, question is, when you shot all bullets, and clip stay in back position, does press button works to get clip back and push bullet into chamber? Thanks.
You can purchase the same gun from Jerry Brown with Ordnance Outsellers. He is a private dealer. His e-mail address is jerry@ordnanceoutsellers. His phone number is (7707) 977-0662.
Yes, all of the accessories for a typical AR-15 fit the Colt M4 OPS .22 carbine. If you are planning installing a Magpul CTR stock, make sure you purchase the commercial version in lieu of the mil-spec version.
I too have a Colt .22 works flawless with CCI blazer. I got it for $472. Out the door. (Big5)

A lot of people knocking that this firearm is a waste of money.
Mind you $20 will get you roughly 20 rounds of .223 or 500 rounds of .22 (heck I've gotten 1000 round for $14 once).
It's called affordable practice.
