well, im not going to speak for the whole lifestyle (and no one person can) but for me its a reenforcement of faith, ive singlehadnedly overcome drug/alcohol addiction without any encouragement or support except for sxe music, some just have to take a more militant stance to maintain solidarity. for you staying clean is more of a non-issue, but ive seen too many lives destroyed by drugs and alcohol and almost ruined mine. the Edge is a means to an end for me to stay strong and stay true.
