@Areyourealythatdumb Actually, a fact is simply a statement that asserts its veracity through its framing. Factuality and falsehood are not mutually exclusive. Furthermore, my previous statement is a feasibly testable hypothesis, not simply philosophical speculation. Whether you disagree with this is a seperate matter from my statement's factuality and veracity.
@LuminOfMoonlight thats not a fact its an oppinion, its not a fact because its incorrect. humans are fully capable of comprehending things we do it all the time we have dont it for thousands of years. in actual fact the fact the you comprehended the ability to learn how to spell and use a keyboard proves humans can learn.
So what we learn from this video is that atheists play with snakes and rats. Unless you are an atheist, and then you sit around doing 'really cool' things like watching other people play with snakes on youtube.
@billflowers or when they prey to there Atheist god... 1 assumes that there god does not believe he was created by another god yes??? so god is an Atheist.
:)
Can omniscient God, who Knows the future, find The omnipotence to Change His future mind?
lol no, if your really knew there was no purpose to live you wouldn't give a crap about science. i wouldn't, because that would be stupid. why would you want to learn about the world when you can just enjoy it. you're just wasting your time. you only have one life. go have sex, bungee jump, eat chocolate, steal things, get rich, murder people, get famous and powerful, have a hell of a ride. and that's exactly what it is, a HELL of a ride and that's where it will lead you.
what is the purpose of our existance? not an immediate purpose, like eating, sleeping, taking out the trash, having fun. Don't you think there's a reason for LIFE? why are we able to think so much about our existance? doesn't that tell you there's a little more to life than sex and chocolate?
@dragonking700 If there was an ape that is really good at breeding and that the same ape had a defect in it's brain that made it ponder the reason for life other than the obvious. It the defect made it kill other apes that didn't think the same, after a million years you would have religion so engrained in it's culture that most of the apes that call themselves human would believe in god because there has to be a reason for life.
@dragonking700 I can only guess, but there are a few possible ways. Those who pondered such things would have impressed females and there fore got laid. Some females tend to like such things. If religion played it's part then breeding would be part of the religion and death to those who don't believe also part of the religion. Lots of sex and death to enemies = survival of the fitest.
....seriously? you're still not answering why is it even possible for us to think about our existence? I didn't as HOW we evolved, I asked how is it possible that we can evolve.
@dragonking700 what are you fishing for kid? are you trying to ask leading questions to get to the subject of a god? we have brains, we think, at least some of us do. we come up will silly ideas like there's a god or we are not animals, we remove ourselves from nature so as not to be reminded that we are animals, we get out of touch with the real world. we eat, sleep, shag, crap & die. may as well enjoy the ride.
so why do you think it's possible, so I know where you're coming from.
again, why is this all possible? why are we able to think and decide that we want to do these things? why does life keep on going by itself? why do cells keep living? and what started them off in the first place?
@dragonking700 The last question is what you want to get at. I don't know what started everything. But I'm sure that the tooth fairy had nothing to do with it but can't prove that. I can not prove that Zeus isn't the answer to all these questions. I just believe "I don't know" is a better answer than Zeus or the tooth fairy. Are you trying to get me to believe in the deist god as a 1st step to Jesus?
Better have a look at the next in my video series, Koalas vs Noah's ark.
so you don't know what started everything...do you believe the world could have started by total accident, or does it make sense that there must be some intelligence to it?
do you know what the chances of a billion monkeys typing a billion typewriters typing "to be or not to be" is? It's like 0.000000001 that's just six letters. do you think it's possible that nothingness could randomly assemble not only matter, but time, space, physics, dna, atoms, and life that evolves over time and becomes stronger?
@dragonking700 You don't get how it works. If one monkey got the the first letter 't' right then they just keep going till one gets 't' and then the space bar, then a 'b' and so on. It wouldn't take to long at all, the monkeys might even do it in a day.
Evolution and DNA changes a bit at a time, when some thing works it is kept, what doesn't will be rejected, it is forged by the environment.
This was a no brainer, your question is not original and has been debunked before.
but how do the monkeys know what works or not? they don't know how to read. they don't even know why they are there. they don't know anything. that's why you need an intelligent creator.
but the monkeys have no idea what is the right spelling! you make it sound like dna is intelligent. it is forged by the environment? why? where does the environment come from? from the monkeys on the typewriters?
@dragonking700 Just trying to explain natural selection, it's not random chance. if something doesn't work well enough it dies and doesn't continue, if something does work it continues until the environment gives it the next test.
But you are not really interested, you only ask so you can put forward your out dated creationist views. And be honest, you are part of a church group or religion of some sort. You want people to accept ID some you can push your beliefs as the next step.
it IS random chance that the organisms evolve in the first place. it is not random chance that the good ones survive, but the mutations are totally random.
dude, I'm not trying to "push my beliefs on you". THAT is an outdated argument.
I'm just trying to have a conversation about science. and yes, obviously i want you to believe my religion, and the first step is making you understand that your beliefs are flawed. because i care about your life, sorry if that offends you.
I have a problem with evolution because it is a hypothesis treated as a law. Gravity IS a scientific law. evolution is an interesting hypothesis, but it should not be looked at as fact.
It really is a matter of being open-minded, but at the same time rejecting the constant bias that other people are trying to force on you.
the bible says we should enter his kingdom as a child, meaning without any bias or pre-made opinion.
You views are interesting, I just got back from a trip to the US. There are so many churches, so many claiming to be christian. Outside the US most advanced countries believe in evolution as fact and even in your own country if you look at who is doing the cutting edge reseach in science you will find that most of them see the fact of evolution.
well, first of all you need to really understand the differnece between atheist influence and evolutionary influence. Stalin was an atheist, but not an evolutionist, and hitler was an evolutionist, not an atheist.
One of the reasons evolutionists are getting all the credit nowadays is in part because it is so hard to have a career in science and NOT be an evolutionists. just mentioning that evolution MIGHT not be credible, and there MIGHT be a god, means you're out of a job.
@dragonking700 With respect, because I used to think this way too. I think scientist should be out of a job if they believe in the tooth fairy or Santa Claus. I wouldn't listen to a Dr talking about sex if he believe in the stork delivering babies.
haha, yup, I do too. however, santa claus, the tooth fairy, and the stork do not have mounds of historical and archeological evidence to back them up. and no scientists do believe in santa clause anyways!
so, we agree on that. but do you think scientists should be out of a job for suggesting there might be a god? because when they do it, they back it up with real scientific evidence. it would be wise to discredit that evidence before judging them as religious conspirists.
@dragonking700 No they can believe in a god if it's part of their culture. but Noah's ark is pushing it.
If you belive in garden of Eden I wouldn't give you a job of dating dinosaur bones.
All "evidence" for the bible account of creation is discredited. If there is any evidence they are alway free to write a paper. But the "evidence" is no better than that for UFOs.
well, these people are not nesecarily talking about the christian God. most of them are simply trying to say "there might be a God" as in a superior being, a creator.
and the the dating of dinosaur bones is far from reliable. remember ceolocanth! many of the things people consider to be "fact" are often disproven later by science. The most dangerous thiing in science is when people use the word "fact" and make assumptions.
@dragonking700 Unless I'm mistaken, people who commonly call themselves creationists (young earth, day-age etc.) are ALWAYS talking about Yahweh. Belief in God(s) is one thing and really should never be addressed by science in a negative or positive direction because it really is at this point a purely philisophical question. But when HUMANS give God(s) characteristics based off an old book that's been repeatedly proven wrong and then try to teach this in schools, it becomes a problem.
some scientists have claimed that hardly anyone within the field of science actually believes in evolution, but they go along with it either because they don't really care, peer preasure, or fear of losing their job.
a poll stated that the fields of science that contain the most admited theists were biology and physics. (40%+)
@dragonking700 Again this (if true) might be a USA thing. I'm yet to find a good field guide on reptiles, birds or mammals written by a creationist.
There are no athiest scientist that do not believe Darwin was mostly right, they only argue about the details. The only ones that reject the whole idea are creationist.
creationists spend most of their time defending themselves. all we know about biology and how life works is good, except for the evolution part. so why would a creationist write a field guide on animals, when there are plenty of good ones already? the facts about animals are facts whether they evolved or not! so logically, the majority of creationist work would be on the origins of life, not on field guides. of course, creationists are scientists and do study many subjects.
"creationists spend most of their time defending themselves" and most scientist just get on with the important science work.
I found creationist are not really adding anything to further what we know about anything. They could be out in the field discovering things, finding out new things and writting papers on it.
But they give nothing.
So you want to know something about say a bird you have seen, you look it up in a field guide on birds that is written by an evolutionist.
@dragonking700 You obviously don't understand the arguements correctly. Your using an old creationist arguement. It is indeed impossible as you say...but the arguement itself is wrong.
@dragonking700 what started them off in the first place?
we don't really know yet, but we are working on the answers instead of reading an old debunked book and blindly adopt 2000 years old unsupported claims of some god that created all this.
the law that everything must come from something was created by god. einstein observed that time was distinctly linked with matter, and space. Before the world, things could be eternal. but god created a world with time, and within time everything must have a beginning and an end.
@dragonking700 ROFL i surely didn't want you to prove Einsteins theories, i meant the law that everything must come from something was created by god..... wich is your claim, and not a claim by Einstein.
I'm not trying to inflate my ego. that's simply a lie.
I'm defending the One True Faith. and I'm trying to spread the good news of Jesus! that's the reason I'm on youtube!! But it's hard to share the good news of Jesus with people who believe humanity came from a random explosion.
and see how you just changed the subject on me? typical...
@dragonking700 hey you don't need to wonder when you get asked though questions, when you tell fairy tales from ancient times that contradict the knowledge we have today. Also do your fairy tales come without any evidence and a huge number of extraordinary claims that would require a gigantic amount of extraordinary evidence.
darwin himself understood the reality of a creator. It's not about fairy tales or even the God of the Bible. the first step is understanding that there is a creator.
@dragonking700 So? In contrast to his other assumptions, his versions of a creator was not worked out into a theory that is backed up with a huge body of scientific evidence. It does not matter what Darwin believed, his Hypotheses that can be backed by scientific evidence it is that matters. First step would be bringing up evidence for your hypothesis that there is a creator. The idea of a creator is much older than Darwin's idea of evolution and still not a single shred of evidence.
b) if mocking birds from Peru and mocking birds from Equador look very alike then they share a common ancestor (i.e. transmutation), therefor..... all living beings have a common ancestor.
That's faulty generalization, even if mocking birds do have a common ancestor.
To affirm b's conclusion is a stretch. Is like saying:
Tom and Clark are human beings; Tom and Clark are male; therefor all human beings are male.
@dragonking700 Didn't change subject, I answered to monkey/typewriter question. But what are we doing here, just point scoring for different teams. I was a hardcore christian for years, I know both sides. You only know the one way because you can't even imagine that you could wrong. We call that a closed mind.
...and sorry, but if you believe that you are right and everyone else is wrong, that is ego/pride. you are thinking that your way is better than anyone elses.
Life only proves that it exists it doesn't prove a single great being is the cause of it why cant christians understand that we just don't know in science they don't accept one theory as fact. You accept one theory then you miss out on all other possibilities true knowledge comes from the open mind.
@billflowers i cant make you believe anything but i must say that i dont believe that things such as your artistic abilities are simply things that come from hand dexterity or other such things but are a gift from God
@billflowers See thats the problem. You want to believe that matter always existed but when I say God always existed there is a problem and I think its because atheists dont wanna be held accountable to anything but themselves. They want to be their own gods because if a God always existed then you have to admit that your wrong so instead they try to force the idea of evolution in kids because they see the lack of evidence so making everyone else think the same makes them feel better.
@bombsawaydrums I don't know if matter always existed, but if I have to choose I think matter over your invisible friend. Can't talk for all atheist but I am accountable for all my actions, I can't point to a deamon and say I was tempted.
I went out into the wild to prove ceation is real and true, found a landslide of evidence against the early parts of the bible.
You're right about other gods, I think I'm more of a pagan, I worship a goddeness called Jennifer, I can see, feel and touch her.
@billflowers Well if I asked if you could see, feel and touch your brain what would you say? If you said no, which would be the correct answer, does that mean your brain does not exist. If the matter didnt always exist then what brought it into existence? It takes more faith to be an atheist then a Christian. I would like to see this landslide of evidence because I have found evidence to support my ideas as well. I think anyone will always be able to supply evidence so it will just go on and on
@bombsawaydrums People find evidence for UFOs if they want to. the point is I found a lot of evidence I didn't want to find, things I couldn't over look or explain away.I was hardcore christian, I wanted to find evidence to prove the Bible. I wanted to believe the Bible was true.
Jesus said the OT is all true, science says it is not.
Evolution is the truth, I didn't want to believe it at first, fought against it but the more I worked with wildlife I found I had to accept it.
@billflowers you obviously are looking in the wrong places because I have tons of science books and study the topic of evolution quite often and science does not go against the old testament. Evolution is not the truth. It has not been proven, and there is really no way to ever prove it. You need to read some of the right books instead of Richard Dawkins rhetoric. I stubbled across the evidence for the OT and Christ so I can say the same thing on the other end. Ill pray for you.
The problem is that most scientists don't care what any religion believes, only the facts. they don't try & bend or twist facts to suit any beliefs. Dawkins is one of the very few who speak out.
I used to preach Jesus on the streets, I didn't decide to switch overnight. It took me 20 years of study to turn. There is a ton of truth and facts out there. No point in talking about it now because you're not ready to hear yet. when you are look it up yourself.
Do you know that in the rest of the world, outside that 100 million Americans that are taught something about evolution there is about 10 times that amount that are stuffed with religion bullshit and never get to hear a word about evolution ?
@saintpine Well I agree that religion is not a good thing. Thats why I am not religious. I dont know why people have to hear about evolution or religion. I think that religion kills, but Jesus saves. I dont buy into the religious propaganda. Im not a catholic, or a mormon. I just say that I have a relationship with God. Jesus wasnt religious. He was an outcast. He wasnt part of the upper class. He was a person just like you and I. You act like its a privilege to be graced with evolutionary crap.
@bombsawaydrums Christianity is a religion, Some christians say it is a relationship so they are not 'just another religion'.
Even in it's pure form where christians do not kill, feed the poor, care for the sick and love people. It is still about worshipping something you can't see, not really sure is there except for faith. just like every other religion.
@billflowers well then evolution must also be called a religion, because it is also something that people believe in when that has also never been observed. Science is based on things you can test, prove and observe and evolution does not fall under any of those so therefore atheists also have a faith in the religion of evolution.
Says "You act like its a privilege to be graced with evolutionary crap."
I had compulsory religion all my school life, was an athiest when I was 14, never heard of the word atheist, evolution or big bang till 30 years later.
So as you see the bible was more than sufficient for me to become an atheist.
In my country evolution gets a few hours of attention in schools in 13 years, and religion a few hours weekly every year.
@saintpine well in my town "religion" isnt really in the schools unless of course its a catholic school. Evolution is poring out of the public school system here. So Im on the other end. That doesnt make you any more right. Just because evolution is tax supported doesnt make it true. Its still a theory. Scientists call it a theory. Therefore it has not been proven. It isnt something that will ever be proven.
@saintpine well i was definitely not home schooled. I went to public school and evolution was definitely far more popular a subject then any other belief in anything. I think maybe you have a hard time understanding the word theory. I have read plenty of books with world renowned biologists and many other types of scientists who do not endorse the theory of evolution. There will always be 2 sides so nothing I type will change your mind. Only God can do that. Ill pray for you.
@bombsawaydrums says "I think maybe you have a hard time understanding the word theory."
Please don't be ridiculous, you surely know by now that many words have different meanings, and the scientifically meaning of the word theory is different to the popular meaning, its all clear in every dictionary (even Christian ones).
You most probably know that most scientists have accepted evolution, and all the ones that don't accept it, have never had their "theories" peer reviewed, I wonder why ?.
says "well i was definitely not home schooled. I went to public school and evolution was definitely far more popular a subject then any other belief in anything. "
Seriously, how many hours in you whole school life did you have evolution lessons ?
you say "Ill pray for you."
Thanks, Its pleasure having someone dedicate a second of thought for me even it its a useless waste of time.
@saintpine I didnt count the hours they taught evolution but I know that "religion" was never the topic of any subject in school. Therefore evolution was taught more then any belief. So I dont know why thats so hard for you to understand. You call it a waste of time, that doesnt bother me. It might not be a waste of time. We'll see. Im not ashamed of my beliefs, I dont know why atheists get so pissed when someone has faith. Im open to your thoughts man. I may not agree but I'm open to talk.
We both know that even in America you hardly hear about evolution, but even atheists are stuffed with religious bullshit all their lives, TV, radio, preachers on the roads, family and friends.
Compared to the amount of religious preachers and "atheist preachers" I find it quite ridiculous to claim that atheists get pissed when someone has faith, you hardly hear the atheists voice, and its about time they come out.
@saintpine I guess we can agree to disagree man. I dont see it. Everytime I turn on my tv I see something about evolution and our "monkey ancestors." But whatever man. It doesnt bother me if you dont believe. Thats why we have freedom of speech and beliefs. You can believe anything you want. if you wanna believe there was nothing then something which science says is impossible then thats fine man. Good Day.
@bombsawaydrums says " I dont see it. Everytime I turn on my tv I see something about evolution and our "monkey ancestors."
Wow, tell me where you live, I'm packing up, and I'll come live there.
I heard of the words big bang and evolution and atheism at around 40 years old.
But I already was a non believer at the age of 14, I didn't need science to disprove the bible, I got out of Santa Clause and the easter bunny, and then out of the Jesus and god fairy tale as well.
@saintpine You say where do I live? I heard about the big band and evolution when i was about 14. So just because you claim to have not heard it until 40 doesnt mean anything. Maybe you didnt go to school. I dunno where you come from. There is no documentation of the easter bunny. There is for Jesus. And Santa Claus was actually a real person. Not the person that drops presents under the tree but indeed real. We havent ever seen George Washington but know he was president. Why not Jesus?
@bombsawaydrums says "You say where do I live? I heard about the big band and evolution when i was about 14. So just because you claim to have not heard it until 40 doesnt mean anything."
Really it means everything.
You heard about it, a few hours in all your school life, you didn't get daily preaching and worshiping of Darwin for all your school life.
I lived in South Africa, I had compulsory religion all my school life, and compulsory daily worshiping of a god I believed a fairy tale.
@bombsawaydrums says "We havent ever seen George Washington but know he was president. Why not Jesus?"
Oh, come on, how can you be so naive, I couldn't care less about Jesus if they claimed him to be a great preacher and a leader or conquerer of the whole world, but SHIT, how dare you even think someone is supposed to accept all the rest of it on the same basis.
Virgin birth, god, resurrection etc etc etc..
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof, its that simple.
I do not see any evidence for god and plenty against the bible. I do however respect you, saying that you are a strong christian shows you do have guts!
What prevent believers to do these cool things!! and also have question for you: Can you give life for these beautiful animals or you when they /you died. I mean we have this beatiful nature but our abilities are limited to control everything in it.
whether believe in hell or not, that will not make me able to change what after death. If humans have the ultimate power, why dead people not speak about what they are doing/seeing/experience...etc. I dont look to religioun as something prevent me to enjoy life rather than a map in this big world. Now, we have people dot have any map, have the right map, and have the wrong one. If you have the wrong map, you would prefer have nothing and try the road yourself
where do u think we all came from where the tres,dirt,snakes,mammals,and anything else u see comesfrom!!!!! it didnt just pop up from nowhere.......say that "evolution" and "thebig bang theory" isreal where did primates comefrom???? where did the meteor and stuff from the big bang theory come from?? some people say that we come from dirt... u know "spontaneos generation" but what is it that made this "dirt" become a living and breathing orginism? do u believe scientific proof??look up laminin
When you ask such question I assume that you believe we come from god? I also assume you mean the god of the bible? I have read the whole book (have you) and see it as flawed.
@animalboy64 Actually, they have created precursors to life in the laboratory. Membranes containing protein strands--the very things that may become DNA and RNA if they simply join in the right sequence. It happens easily, and it happens often. Because of that, the one little time that it happened just the right way...well, that was almost inevitable.
@animalboy64 You say it popped up out of no where, no, it took billions of years to evolutionize and develop. Didn't god just think up the animals and make them? Poof! made right out of the air!
People that believe in god are the reason there are war, violence, and death. The war in Iraq is all because of religion. Alot of people got killed because of it. I stopped believing because it's not natural to be a christian. Remember, we are all born atheists, but our parents have an influence on what you believe in.
I enjoy it, when I was Christian it was like I was blind to a lot of nature, not really understanding nature. Without an understanding of evolution you can appreciate how nature works. Christians see nature as not important because they are too busy trying to save souls from the myth of hell.
I think I might enjoy nature more than I would if I was an Athiest. Mostly because I know that it'll be even more beautiful on the new earth. Do you mind if I ask you a few questions about what some Athiests might believe? I'm assuming that you believe in evolution, right? Where are all these intermediate animals that evolved to what we see today. Darwin thought we would have found those by now. I'd bet he wouldn't be an evolutionist if he were alive today. Also, explain the Cambrian Explosion.
Christians believe we live in a fallen world of mutants, but someone who is a naturalist can see the beauty in all things even snakes, spiders....even parasites are a part of perfect balance rather than a cursed earth.
If you don't see the intermediate fossils it's because someone has explained them away because it doesn't fit with the bible.
Just entertain the idea that evolution might be true & all the fossils & the animals we see today will all neatly fall into place.
i am niether a christian nor an athiest. that doesn't mean i'm more confused than most people nor that i believe nothing. i simply believe that nothing is impossible. but i know from what i observe that most athiests see more meaning in life than most christians do. you see, for a christian life is just an obediance competition. what matters to a christian is not life, but life after death. for an athiest life is everything. one life, one chance. they live it to the full.
That may appear so, but where are the intermediate species? Shouldn't there be a half-bird half-mammal? Even the smallest bacteria are as, or even more complex than us. If you look at viruses, they will have gears and stuff that are very similar to what we have invented. Don't you think there's some kind of pattern in thought between us, and whoever created/ whatever exploded us out of nowhere?
Haha, not quite that simple, bud. So you're saying that one day there was a t-rex, then the naxt day it turned into a platypus, then it was a chicken the next day? Where are the smaller transitions?
Alot of things can happen in a billion years you know? T-rex was a dinosaur, which was pretty much down graded to the philosoraptor, which was then down graded to an even smaller species, Archaeopteryx. This was a bird/dinosaur, and can be proven by the body design and the feathers. What explains neonatal T-rex's having feathers? Thats because the feathers were considered vestigal because they had no use for them. The modern day birds you see today are considered dinosaurs.
Still not small enough for me. You still are saying that they just one day turned into other animals. Similar to what I said before: You think that there was a t-rex, then the next day it grew feathers, then it turned into a bird? Yes, I think archeopteryx was a bird. Plenty of birds had teeth, so I don't see why anyone thinks archeopteryx is a reptile. I believe in Microevolution, but not macro. There is no way. There is nothing in anything's DNA to make that durastic of a change.
I said, the juvenile T-rex, had feathers, then lost these as they grow. Many things can cause change in DNA, and who said it was drastic? It happened over BILLIONS of years. And thats it, you believe in evolution. But some people have different perspectives on how it works. Species that are not suited to cope with the ever changing planet die out, but sometimes mutations occur that benefit a species and this mutation is passed on to the offspring. Therfore the better equiped species thrive,
Not small enough for you? Dude, there are some absolutely GIGANTIC Birds in the fossil record. Say hello the Teratorn - a positively HUGE bird in the fossil record, weighing in at 170 pounds and still flight-capable. You should google "Terror Birds" it should point you out to far larger, positively gigantic flightless birds. Today we have Ostriches, Emus, and Cassowaries. All three of which are HUGE flightless birds that are a direct tie tot he dinosaur lineage. Phorusrhacids for the win!
To continue - We don't even NEED the fossil record to establish evolution. Even without the fossil record, we still have genetics and biology. If there was indeed no transition from dinos to birds, then explain sciences ability to practically reverse engineer chickens into dinosaurs? Using DORMANT genes, we can cause chicken embryos to develop tails, teeth, no feathers, and a hand on each arm. IF that DNA wasn't there, we'd not be able to reverse-engineer it, it simply would be available.
Hmm... Cuz God made them that way. He doesn't always do complicated things. HE made DNA, so HE made animals to do that. Where did the materials come from that created the big bang? Tell me how this is a proven fact. If someone came up to you, and said: (and pretend he really has this power) I can take you to the past. You tell me how the universe came about, and I'll give you unlimited money for life, would you say that from an explosion, all of life, good and evil, time and everything was made?
Hpw about YOU tell us abouteven ONE physical artifact that the Bible was even remotely fact, or that Jesus was ever on the earth, or even anything else that can scientifically prove there is a god what-so-ever.
Uhh, the dead sea scrolls, Jesus' tomb, the river he turned into fresh water, ect. I know ppl who got o this church and an angel appeared. Everyone saw it. Demons, I could go on forever. Even the fact we have a conscience and know right from wrong.
Like I said.......show me evidence, proof, not some horse shit voodoo church where a buncha retards all saw a shadow or something and got the giggles. Saying you know people who say they saw something makes it even more of a retarded thing to post.
But you can say the same about the evidence about UFOs.....eye witness accounts, photos, burn marks.... UFOs are bollocks! Santa is bollocks! wichcraft is bollocks! Zeus is bollocks! Jesus is bollocks! and yes even tea leaf reading is bollocks!
People believe in UFOs because they want to believe, they are not looking for truth they are looking for anything that backs up their crazy ideas.
DUH!!! Not physically small. I meant as far as intermediate animals. What the heck, plenty of ppl use the term "big bang theory" Like, the person who invented it. There's many ways to say it. My way: Only a hypothesis at best. No clear evidence. Explain the Cambrian Explosion. If the Big Bang was true, why is it illegal to say it isn't a scientific law? If it's so true, it should outweigh any other theory, right? Scientific laws are a definitely proven thing. I think creation has more evidence.
No, the opponents of The Expansion Theory renamed it the big bang theory in order to make the theory seem less plausible. The 'inventor', as you say, didn't call it that. It's the wrong term for the theory. No clear evidence? Are you INSANE? How about red shifted galaxies and star systems? That's one huge piece of evidence that the universe is in motion and has been for billions of years. Thinking the universe is only 6000 years old is like thinking the distance from Cali to NY is 27 feet.
If God made everything, then what made God? And what made the thing that made god, and what is responsible for making the thing that is responsible for making the thing that made god? You can't say that everything can't come from nothing, and then claim that God made everything from nothing, God himself coming from nothing to begin with. Either there's a first cause, or there isn't - you can't have it both ways! And for the last time its EXPANSION, like a balloon, not an explosion like dynamite
If I can't explain the Cambrian Explosion, then it means God did it, right? Yay for the God of the Gaps theory! If we can't explain, God wins by default! How convenient! The problem with your precious Gap-God is what happens when there are no more gaps in knowledge for you to slip God into? What happens when Science can replicate every single one of your supposed God's powers, and gives them to all human beings? What need is there for god if we have all his powers?
What is with the idea of believing the universe had to be specially created anyhow? It's possible that the universe has always been, only it has transformed over hundreds and billions of years in order to reach the state that its in presently. When the universe EXPANDED, it simply brought space, time, gravity, and electromagnetism along for the ride. The entire universe is like a big balloon, and we are on its surface. There's evidence that it's actually a Multiverse, not a universe at all.
See, to insist that everything has a cause, a meaning, and a purpose is the very same as insisting that a rock is sharp and pointy so a creature can scratch an itch on it. When in fact, the rock has no purpose in its shape, form, or location, it has no meaning in being there. We are similar, only we are different b/c we can create meaning for ourselves. Unlike a stone, we can determine our own purpose. We all feel influenced by different things. We all decide what we're influenced by.
*feel* the holy spirit? Now, tell me, how can you *feel* a non-physical entity? We know the wind is there because we can feel it, we can measure it. But the body can also convince its self that it feels things. Somebody under a hypnotic trance can be told that they're about to be burned, but only touched with a Penny, but the brain believes that its been burned so strongly, that the body actually raises a welt at the 'burn site'. You've convinced yourself u feel spirits but you plainly do not.
I already stated that I have no explanation for The Cambrian Explosion. But not being able to explain something only means you can't explain it. God does not win by default, certainly not the God of the bible at least. Every time science is inaccurate about something, or can't explain something yet, doesn't automatically mean that God wins by default. That's called tossing out the baby with the bath water. Agnosticism is an MUCH more humble stance, versus pretending you have the answers.
You aren't a Christian, so you prolly don't feel the holy spirit. How do you know that it's not the God of the bible? How do you know God didn't create the Big Bang?
You still haven't explained the Cambrian explosion. Why were there animals from all different phyla? That is not a good example. You CAN physically measure the distance between NY and CA. I never said the universe is 6,000 years old. There's more evidence to point that way tho. Astronauts expected there to be thousands of feet of dust on the moon from billions of years of asteroid impact. Instead, there was just a couple inches.
No, you wouldn't expect an intermediate between birds and mammals because they're a different family. Birds descended from dinosaurs, to which you'd expect a intermediate between Birds and Lizards, which we found long ago. Say hello to Archeopteryx .
And the big bang was not an explosion, the term "big bang" is what we call a Straw-Man. The emergence of the universe from a singularity is called "The Expansion Theory". Only ID-Iods call it the big bang.
Maybe we find our own meaning in the universe, or maybe some don't. Whatever. I don't think that Bill is depressed because he doesn't swallow a bunch of nonsense, thank you though.
that man gave birth to a devil! pure evil.

@LuminOfMoonlight thats not a fact its an oppinion, its not a fact because its incorrect. humans are fully capable of comprehending things we do it all the time we have dont it for thousands of years. in actual fact the fact the you comprehended the ability to learn how to spell and use a keyboard proves humans can learn.

lol no, if your really knew there was no purpose to live you wouldn't give a crap about science. i wouldn't, because that would be stupid. why would you want to learn about the world when you can just enjoy it. you're just wasting your time. you only have one life. go have sex, bungee jump, eat chocolate, steal things, get rich, murder people, get famous and powerful, have a hell of a ride. and that's exactly what it is, a HELL of a ride and that's where it will lead you.
TURN TO JESUS. please
dragonking700 1 year ago
@dragonking700 the purpose of life is to survive and reproduce, Christians do this well.
sex yes, bungee maybe, chocolate yes, steal no, rich ?, murder no, famous & powerful ? hell of a ride yes.
Waste time in church NO!
What if Athiest are right, one life and you are missing out on it?
billflowers 1 year ago
@billflowers
Ah, the classic response. the purpose of life is what you choose. that doesn't work. we're talking about a purpose for our existance. why are we here?
well, we'll never no who's right, will we, because when we die we're gone forever.
dragonking700 1 year ago
@dragonking700 go ask your dog, or cat, or a bird, reptile or fish the porpose of life.
You live for a short time then you die. The reason it's a classic response is because it's real.
billflowers 1 year ago
@billflowers
lol
what is the purpose of our existance? not an immediate purpose, like eating, sleeping, taking out the trash, having fun. Don't you think there's a reason for LIFE? why are we able to think so much about our existance? doesn't that tell you there's a little more to life than sex and chocolate?
dragonking700 1 year ago
@dragonking700 If there was an ape that is really good at breeding and that the same ape had a defect in it's brain that made it ponder the reason for life other than the obvious. It the defect made it kill other apes that didn't think the same, after a million years you would have religion so engrained in it's culture that most of the apes that call themselves human would believe in god because there has to be a reason for life.
Evolution is not religion, but....
RELIGION HAS EVOLVED.
billflowers 1 year ago
@billflowers
why does the ability to ponder your existence exist?
dragonking700 1 year ago
@dragonking700 I just answered that, it evolved. a trait of the better breeding humans.
billflowers 1 year ago
@billflowers
no! why is it possible for us to evolve into being able to think that way? and why did it evolve? what caused it?
dragonking700 1 year ago
@dragonking700 I can only guess, but there are a few possible ways. Those who pondered such things would have impressed females and there fore got laid. Some females tend to like such things. If religion played it's part then breeding would be part of the religion and death to those who don't believe also part of the religion. Lots of sex and death to enemies = survival of the fitest.
billflowers 1 year ago
@billflowers
....seriously? you're still not answering why is it even possible for us to think about our existence? I didn't as HOW we evolved, I asked how is it possible that we can evolve.
dragonking700 1 year ago
@dragonking700 what are you fishing for kid? are you trying to ask leading questions to get to the subject of a god? we have brains, we think, at least some of us do. we come up will silly ideas like there's a god or we are not animals, we remove ourselves from nature so as not to be reminded that we are animals, we get out of touch with the real world. we eat, sleep, shag, crap & die. may as well enjoy the ride.
so why do you think it's possible, so I know where you're coming from.
billflowers 1 year ago
@billflowers
again, why is this all possible? why are we able to think and decide that we want to do these things? why does life keep on going by itself? why do cells keep living? and what started them off in the first place?
dragonking700 1 year ago
@dragonking700 The last question is what you want to get at. I don't know what started everything. But I'm sure that the tooth fairy had nothing to do with it but can't prove that. I can not prove that Zeus isn't the answer to all these questions. I just believe "I don't know" is a better answer than Zeus or the tooth fairy. Are you trying to get me to believe in the deist god as a 1st step to Jesus?
Better have a look at the next in my video series, Koalas vs Noah's ark.
billflowers 1 year ago
@billflowers
so you don't know what started everything...do you believe the world could have started by total accident, or does it make sense that there must be some intelligence to it?
dragonking700 1 year ago
@dragonking700 Why does it have to be intelligent?
billflowers 1 year ago
@billflowers
because nothing unintelligent could create DNA. or create life that would evolve into DNA
dragonking700 1 year ago
@billflowers
do you know what the chances of a billion monkeys typing a billion typewriters typing "to be or not to be" is? It's like 0.000000001 that's just six letters. do you think it's possible that nothingness could randomly assemble not only matter, but time, space, physics, dna, atoms, and life that evolves over time and becomes stronger?
dragonking700 1 year ago
@dragonking700 You don't get how it works. If one monkey got the the first letter 't' right then they just keep going till one gets 't' and then the space bar, then a 'b' and so on. It wouldn't take to long at all, the monkeys might even do it in a day.
Evolution and DNA changes a bit at a time, when some thing works it is kept, what doesn't will be rejected, it is forged by the environment.
This was a no brainer, your question is not original and has been debunked before.
billflowers 1 year ago
@billflowers
but how do the monkeys know what works or not? they don't know how to read. they don't even know why they are there. they don't know anything. that's why you need an intelligent creator.
dragonking700 1 year ago
@billflowers
"when something works is is kept"
but the monkeys have no idea what is the right spelling! you make it sound like dna is intelligent. it is forged by the environment? why? where does the environment come from? from the monkeys on the typewriters?
dragonking700 1 year ago
@dragonking700 Just trying to explain natural selection, it's not random chance. if something doesn't work well enough it dies and doesn't continue, if something does work it continues until the environment gives it the next test.
But you are not really interested, you only ask so you can put forward your out dated creationist views. And be honest, you are part of a church group or religion of some sort. You want people to accept ID some you can push your beliefs as the next step.
billflowers 1 year ago
@billflowers
it IS random chance that the organisms evolve in the first place. it is not random chance that the good ones survive, but the mutations are totally random.
dude, I'm not trying to "push my beliefs on you". THAT is an outdated argument.
I'm just trying to have a conversation about science. and yes, obviously i want you to believe my religion, and the first step is making you understand that your beliefs are flawed. because i care about your life, sorry if that offends you.
dragonking700 1 year ago
@dragonking700 I don't have any right to be offended, I've gone up to too many people in the streets to share the love of Jesus for that.
and thank you for caring about my life.
But if you were not a Christain, you wouldn't have any problem with evolution.
You don't have any problem with gravity, do you?
billflowers 1 year ago
@billflowers
I have a problem with evolution because it is a hypothesis treated as a law. Gravity IS a scientific law. evolution is an interesting hypothesis, but it should not be looked at as fact.
It really is a matter of being open-minded, but at the same time rejecting the constant bias that other people are trying to force on you.
the bible says we should enter his kingdom as a child, meaning without any bias or pre-made opinion.
dragonking700 1 year ago
@dragonking700
You views are interesting, I just got back from a trip to the US. There are so many churches, so many claiming to be christian. Outside the US most advanced countries believe in evolution as fact and even in your own country if you look at who is doing the cutting edge reseach in science you will find that most of them see the fact of evolution.
billflowers 1 year ago
@billflowers
well, first of all you need to really understand the differnece between atheist influence and evolutionary influence. Stalin was an atheist, but not an evolutionist, and hitler was an evolutionist, not an atheist.
One of the reasons evolutionists are getting all the credit nowadays is in part because it is so hard to have a career in science and NOT be an evolutionists. just mentioning that evolution MIGHT not be credible, and there MIGHT be a god, means you're out of a job.
dragonking700 1 year ago
@dragonking700 With respect, because I used to think this way too. I think scientist should be out of a job if they believe in the tooth fairy or Santa Claus. I wouldn't listen to a Dr talking about sex if he believe in the stork delivering babies.
billflowers 1 year ago
@billflowers
haha, yup, I do too. however, santa claus, the tooth fairy, and the stork do not have mounds of historical and archeological evidence to back them up. and no scientists do believe in santa clause anyways!
so, we agree on that. but do you think scientists should be out of a job for suggesting there might be a god? because when they do it, they back it up with real scientific evidence. it would be wise to discredit that evidence before judging them as religious conspirists.
dragonking700 1 year ago
@dragonking700 No they can believe in a god if it's part of their culture. but Noah's ark is pushing it.
If you belive in garden of Eden I wouldn't give you a job of dating dinosaur bones.
All "evidence" for the bible account of creation is discredited. If there is any evidence they are alway free to write a paper. But the "evidence" is no better than that for UFOs.
billflowers 1 year ago
@billflowers
well, these people are not nesecarily talking about the christian God. most of them are simply trying to say "there might be a God" as in a superior being, a creator.
and the the dating of dinosaur bones is far from reliable. remember ceolocanth! many of the things people consider to be "fact" are often disproven later by science. The most dangerous thiing in science is when people use the word "fact" and make assumptions.
dragonking700 1 year ago
@dragonking700 Unless I'm mistaken, people who commonly call themselves creationists (young earth, day-age etc.) are ALWAYS talking about Yahweh. Belief in God(s) is one thing and really should never be addressed by science in a negative or positive direction because it really is at this point a purely philisophical question. But when HUMANS give God(s) characteristics based off an old book that's been repeatedly proven wrong and then try to teach this in schools, it becomes a problem.

dragonking700 1 year ago
@dragonking700 ...as much as what? Could you re-phrase the question?
incomprehensible14 1 year ago
@billflowers
some scientists have claimed that hardly anyone within the field of science actually believes in evolution, but they go along with it either because they don't really care, peer preasure, or fear of losing their job.
a poll stated that the fields of science that contain the most admited theists were biology and physics. (40%+)
dragonking700 1 year ago
@dragonking700 Again this (if true) might be a USA thing. I'm yet to find a good field guide on reptiles, birds or mammals written by a creationist.
There are no athiest scientist that do not believe Darwin was mostly right, they only argue about the details. The only ones that reject the whole idea are creationist.
billflowers 1 year ago
@billflowers
creationists spend most of their time defending themselves. all we know about biology and how life works is good, except for the evolution part. so why would a creationist write a field guide on animals, when there are plenty of good ones already? the facts about animals are facts whether they evolved or not! so logically, the majority of creationist work would be on the origins of life, not on field guides. of course, creationists are scientists and do study many subjects.
dragonking700 1 year ago
@dragonking700
"creationists spend most of their time defending themselves" and most scientist just get on with the important science work.
I found creationist are not really adding anything to further what we know about anything. They could be out in the field discovering things, finding out new things and writting papers on it.
But they give nothing.
So you want to know something about say a bird you have seen, you look it up in a field guide on birds that is written by an evolutionist.
billflowers 1 year ago
@dragonking700 You obviously don't understand the arguements correctly. Your using an old creationist arguement. It is indeed impossible as you say...but the arguement itself is wrong.
masala505 1 year ago
@dragonking700 what started them off in the first place?
we don't really know yet, but we are working on the answers instead of reading an old debunked book and blindly adopt 2000 years old unsupported claims of some god that created all this.
who or what started god?
Aanthanur 1 year ago
@Aanthanur
the law that everything must come from something was created by god. einstein observed that time was distinctly linked with matter, and space. Before the world, things could be eternal. but god created a world with time, and within time everything must have a beginning and an end.
dragonking700 1 year ago
@dragonking700 And your evidence for your claims is what exactly?
Aanthanur 1 year ago
@Aanthanur
lol heard of einstein? he stressed the idea that time/space/matter were all deeply connected. it's logic.
dragonking700 1 year ago
@dragonking700 ROFL i surely didn't want you to prove Einsteins theories, i meant the law that everything must come from something was created by god..... wich is your claim, and not a claim by Einstein.

@dragonking700 You should stop trying to win arguments to inflate your own ego and ask yourself what is really true.
billflowers 1 year ago
@billflowers
I'm not trying to inflate my ego. that's simply a lie.
I'm defending the One True Faith. and I'm trying to spread the good news of Jesus! that's the reason I'm on youtube!! But it's hard to share the good news of Jesus with people who believe humanity came from a random explosion.
and see how you just changed the subject on me? typical...
dragonking700 1 year ago
@dragonking700 hey you don't need to wonder when you get asked though questions, when you tell fairy tales from ancient times that contradict the knowledge we have today. Also do your fairy tales come without any evidence and a huge number of extraordinary claims that would require a gigantic amount of extraordinary evidence.
Aanthanur 1 year ago
@Aanthanur
darwin himself understood the reality of a creator. It's not about fairy tales or even the God of the Bible. the first step is understanding that there is a creator.
dragonking700 1 year ago
@dragonking700 So? In contrast to his other assumptions, his versions of a creator was not worked out into a theory that is backed up with a huge body of scientific evidence. It does not matter what Darwin believed, his Hypotheses that can be backed by scientific evidence it is that matters. First step would be bringing up evidence for your hypothesis that there is a creator. The idea of a creator is much older than Darwin's idea of evolution and still not a single shred of evidence.
Aanthanur 1 year ago
@Aanthanur
Well Darwin supposed:
a) spontaneous generation happens
b) if mocking birds from Peru and mocking birds from Equador look very alike then they share a common ancestor (i.e. transmutation), therefor..... all living beings have a common ancestor.
That's faulty generalization, even if mocking birds do have a common ancestor.
To affirm b's conclusion is a stretch. Is like saying:
Tom and Clark are human beings; Tom and Clark are male; therefor all human beings are male.
tiagotrinidad 1 year ago
@tiagotrinidad if mocking birds were the only evidence for evolution, you maybe had a point. but there is overwhelming evidence for Evolution.
Aanthanur 1 year ago
@dragonking700 Didn't change subject, I answered to monkey/typewriter question. But what are we doing here, just point scoring for different teams. I was a hardcore christian for years, I know both sides. You only know the one way because you can't even imagine that you could wrong. We call that a closed mind.
...and sorry, but if you believe that you are right and everyone else is wrong, that is ego/pride. you are thinking that your way is better than anyone elses.
billflowers 1 year ago
Life only proves that it exists it doesn't prove a single great being is the cause of it why cant christians understand that we just don't know in science they don't accept one theory as fact. You accept one theory then you miss out on all other possibilities true knowledge comes from the open mind.

TMSreptiles 1 year ago
@billflower well the majority of the evidence that i do see is simply in the earth around us
how could such a beautiful world filled with such amazing creatures have been created by a random explosion
what caused the big bang
where did this matter come from in the first place
and how did that matter create organisms so diverse and so beautiful that can still stay together and keep life as we know it stable
so what make you change your beliefs anyways
what set off this major change in you?
TMSreptiles 1 year ago
@TMSreptiles I don't know what started the big bang or where matter came from, but I don't take god as the default setting.
I do see evolution in action all the time, the world As far as I see works well by itself with a god of any kind.
I changed my beliefs after questioning faith for 20 years.
billflowers 1 year ago
@billflowers See thats the problem. You want to believe that matter always existed but when I say God always existed there is a problem and I think its because atheists dont wanna be held accountable to anything but themselves. They want to be their own gods because if a God always existed then you have to admit that your wrong so instead they try to force the idea of evolution in kids because they see the lack of evidence so making everyone else think the same makes them feel better.
bombsawaydrums 1 year ago
@bombsawaydrums I don't know if matter always existed, but if I have to choose I think matter over your invisible friend. Can't talk for all atheist but I am accountable for all my actions, I can't point to a deamon and say I was tempted.
I went out into the wild to prove ceation is real and true, found a landslide of evidence against the early parts of the bible.
You're right about other gods, I think I'm more of a pagan, I worship a goddeness called Jennifer, I can see, feel and touch her.
billflowers 1 year ago
@billflowers Well if I asked if you could see, feel and touch your brain what would you say? If you said no, which would be the correct answer, does that mean your brain does not exist. If the matter didnt always exist then what brought it into existence? It takes more faith to be an atheist then a Christian. I would like to see this landslide of evidence because I have found evidence to support my ideas as well. I think anyone will always be able to supply evidence so it will just go on and on
bombsawaydrums 1 year ago
@bombsawaydrums People find evidence for UFOs if they want to. the point is I found a lot of evidence I didn't want to find, things I couldn't over look or explain away.I was hardcore christian, I wanted to find evidence to prove the Bible. I wanted to believe the Bible was true.
Jesus said the OT is all true, science says it is not.
Evolution is the truth, I didn't want to believe it at first, fought against it but the more I worked with wildlife I found I had to accept it.
billflowers 1 year ago
@billflowers you obviously are looking in the wrong places because I have tons of science books and study the topic of evolution quite often and science does not go against the old testament. Evolution is not the truth. It has not been proven, and there is really no way to ever prove it. You need to read some of the right books instead of Richard Dawkins rhetoric. I stubbled across the evidence for the OT and Christ so I can say the same thing on the other end. Ill pray for you.
bombsawaydrums 1 year ago
@bombsawaydrums Thanks for the prayer.
No point in talking about it now because you're not ready to hear yet. when you are look it up yourself.
billflowers 1 year ago
@bombsawaydrums
WoW!!!
Do you know that in the rest of the world, outside that 100 million Americans that are taught something about evolution there is about 10 times that amount that are stuffed with religion bullshit and never get to hear a word about evolution ?
What do you have to say about this ?
saintpine 1 year ago
@saintpine Well I agree that religion is not a good thing. Thats why I am not religious. I dont know why people have to hear about evolution or religion. I think that religion kills, but Jesus saves. I dont buy into the religious propaganda. Im not a catholic, or a mormon. I just say that I have a relationship with God. Jesus wasnt religious. He was an outcast. He wasnt part of the upper class. He was a person just like you and I. You act like its a privilege to be graced with evolutionary crap.
bombsawaydrums 1 year ago
@bombsawaydrums Christianity is a religion, Some christians say it is a relationship so they are not 'just another religion'.
Even in it's pure form where christians do not kill, feed the poor, care for the sick and love people. It is still about worshipping something you can't see, not really sure is there except for faith. just like every other religion.
billflowers 1 year ago
@billflowers well then evolution must also be called a religion, because it is also something that people believe in when that has also never been observed. Science is based on things you can test, prove and observe and evolution does not fall under any of those so therefore atheists also have a faith in the religion of evolution.
bombsawaydrums 1 year ago
@bombsawaydrums that means by your logic forensic scinece is a religion.
billflowers 1 year ago
@bombsawaydrums
Says "You act like its a privilege to be graced with evolutionary crap."
I had compulsory religion all my school life, was an athiest when I was 14, never heard of the word atheist, evolution or big bang till 30 years later.
So as you see the bible was more than sufficient for me to become an atheist.
In my country evolution gets a few hours of attention in schools in 13 years, and religion a few hours weekly every year.
saintpine 1 year ago
@saintpine well in my town "religion" isnt really in the schools unless of course its a catholic school. Evolution is poring out of the public school system here. So Im on the other end. That doesnt make you any more right. Just because evolution is tax supported doesnt make it true. Its still a theory. Scientists call it a theory. Therefore it has not been proven. It isnt something that will ever be proven.
bombsawaydrums 1 year ago
@bombsawaydrums
I doubt that it gets more than a few days of attention in your whole school life.
tax exemption is state financing.
Only a home schooled religious brainwashed could come up with "Scientists call it a theory. Therefore it has not been proven."
You obviously haven't a clue what the scientific meaning of the word "theory" means.
Its ridiculous to even think that someone might ever call it a fact, no scientist would degrade it to a fact.
saintpine 1 year ago
@saintpine well i was definitely not home schooled. I went to public school and evolution was definitely far more popular a subject then any other belief in anything. I think maybe you have a hard time understanding the word theory. I have read plenty of books with world renowned biologists and many other types of scientists who do not endorse the theory of evolution. There will always be 2 sides so nothing I type will change your mind. Only God can do that. Ill pray for you.
bombsawaydrums 1 year ago

I will think for you.
saintpine 1 year ago
@saintpine I didnt count the hours they taught evolution but I know that "religion" was never the topic of any subject in school. Therefore evolution was taught more then any belief. So I dont know why thats so hard for you to understand. You call it a waste of time, that doesnt bother me. It might not be a waste of time. We'll see. Im not ashamed of my beliefs, I dont know why atheists get so pissed when someone has faith. Im open to your thoughts man. I may not agree but I'm open to talk.
bombsawaydrums 1 year ago
@bombsawaydrums So is gravity
billflowers 1 year ago
@bombsawaydrums
We both know that even in America you hardly hear about evolution, but even atheists are stuffed with religious bullshit all their lives, TV, radio, preachers on the roads, family and friends.
Compared to the amount of religious preachers and "atheist preachers" I find it quite ridiculous to claim that atheists get pissed when someone has faith, you hardly hear the atheists voice, and its about time they come out.
saintpine 1 year ago
@saintpine I guess we can agree to disagree man. I dont see it. Everytime I turn on my tv I see something about evolution and our "monkey ancestors." But whatever man. It doesnt bother me if you dont believe. Thats why we have freedom of speech and beliefs. You can believe anything you want. if you wanna believe there was nothing then something which science says is impossible then thats fine man. Good Day.
bombsawaydrums 1 year ago
@bombsawaydrums says " I dont see it. Everytime I turn on my tv I see something about evolution and our "monkey ancestors."
Wow, tell me where you live, I'm packing up, and I'll come live there.
I heard of the words big bang and evolution and atheism at around 40 years old.
But I already was a non believer at the age of 14, I didn't need science to disprove the bible, I got out of Santa Clause and the easter bunny, and then out of the Jesus and god fairy tale as well.
Try it ?
saintpine 1 year ago
@saintpine You say where do I live? I heard about the big band and evolution when i was about 14. So just because you claim to have not heard it until 40 doesnt mean anything. Maybe you didnt go to school. I dunno where you come from. There is no documentation of the easter bunny. There is for Jesus. And Santa Claus was actually a real person. Not the person that drops presents under the tree but indeed real. We havent ever seen George Washington but know he was president. Why not Jesus?
bombsawaydrums 1 year ago
@bombsawaydrums says "You say where do I live? I heard about the big band and evolution when i was about 14. So just because you claim to have not heard it until 40 doesnt mean anything."
Really it means everything.
You heard about it, a few hours in all your school life, you didn't get daily preaching and worshiping of Darwin for all your school life.
I lived in South Africa, I had compulsory religion all my school life, and compulsory daily worshiping of a god I believed a fairy tale.
saintpine 1 year ago
@bombsawaydrums says "We havent ever seen George Washington but know he was president. Why not Jesus?"
Oh, come on, how can you be so naive, I couldn't care less about Jesus if they claimed him to be a great preacher and a leader or conquerer of the whole world, but SHIT, how dare you even think someone is supposed to accept all the rest of it on the same basis.
Virgin birth, god, resurrection etc etc etc..
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof, its that simple.

@billflowers we cannot force you to believe anything so i suggest that everyone stops trying to
i am a strong christian but i cannot change your beliefs
there is some strong evidence for God but there is no way that he can be proven

What prevent believers to do these cool things!! and also have question for you: Can you give life for these beautiful animals or you when they /you died. I mean we have this beatiful nature but our abilities are limited to control everything in it.
rraassll 1 year ago
@rraassll Some believer do.
But if you see a beautiful bird and at the same time see some kid about to drown. do to stop and really enjoy the beauty of the bird.
Those who believe in hell have their work cut out for them.

whether believe in hell or not, that will not make me able to change what after death. If humans have the ultimate power, why dead people not speak about what they are doing/seeing/experience...etc. I dont look to religioun as something prevent me to enjoy life rather than a map in this big world. Now, we have people dot have any map, have the right map, and have the wrong one. If you have the wrong map, you would prefer have nothing and try the road yourself

animalboy64 2 years ago
When you ask such question I assume that you believe we come from god? I also assume you mean the god of the bible? I have read the whole book (have you) and see it as flawed.
billflowers 2 years ago
@animalboy64 Actually, they have created precursors to life in the laboratory. Membranes containing protein strands--the very things that may become DNA and RNA if they simply join in the right sequence. It happens easily, and it happens often. Because of that, the one little time that it happened just the right way...well, that was almost inevitable.
EclipseExotics 1 year ago
@animalboy64 You say it popped up out of no where, no, it took billions of years to evolutionize and develop. Didn't god just think up the animals and make them? Poof! made right out of the air!

Athiests might be able to do cool things, but they can't enjoy any of it. How can that be possible if there's no meaning of life?
birdboy93 2 years ago
I enjoy it, when I was Christian it was like I was blind to a lot of nature, not really understanding nature. Without an understanding of evolution you can appreciate how nature works. Christians see nature as not important because they are too busy trying to save souls from the myth of hell.
billflowers 2 years ago
I think I might enjoy nature more than I would if I was an Athiest. Mostly because I know that it'll be even more beautiful on the new earth. Do you mind if I ask you a few questions about what some Athiests might believe? I'm assuming that you believe in evolution, right? Where are all these intermediate animals that evolved to what we see today. Darwin thought we would have found those by now. I'd bet he wouldn't be an evolutionist if he were alive today. Also, explain the Cambrian Explosion.
birdboy93 2 years ago

BlackHeartedPoet 2 years ago 6
Damn skippy.
You should look into existentialism.
shanoxilt 2 years ago
If you look on the evolutionary lineage, theres an ancestor to everything, we all orignate from single celled orginisms that came from bacteria.
xxxHERPERxxx 2 years ago
That may appear so, but where are the intermediate species? Shouldn't there be a half-bird half-mammal? Even the smallest bacteria are as, or even more complex than us. If you look at viruses, they will have gears and stuff that are very similar to what we have invented. Don't you think there's some kind of pattern in thought between us, and whoever created/ whatever exploded us out of nowhere?
birdboy93 2 years ago
Look at the freaking platypus? Lays eggs, is a mammmel, has a beak.
xxxHERPERxxx 2 years ago
Haha, not quite that simple, bud. So you're saying that one day there was a t-rex, then the naxt day it turned into a platypus, then it was a chicken the next day? Where are the smaller transitions?
birdboy93 2 years ago
Alot of things can happen in a billion years you know? T-rex was a dinosaur, which was pretty much down graded to the philosoraptor, which was then down graded to an even smaller species, Archaeopteryx. This was a bird/dinosaur, and can be proven by the body design and the feathers. What explains neonatal T-rex's having feathers? Thats because the feathers were considered vestigal because they had no use for them. The modern day birds you see today are considered dinosaurs.
xxxHERPERxxx 2 years ago
Still not small enough for me. You still are saying that they just one day turned into other animals. Similar to what I said before: You think that there was a t-rex, then the next day it grew feathers, then it turned into a bird? Yes, I think archeopteryx was a bird. Plenty of birds had teeth, so I don't see why anyone thinks archeopteryx is a reptile. I believe in Microevolution, but not macro. There is no way. There is nothing in anything's DNA to make that durastic of a change.
birdboy93 2 years ago

xxxHERPERxxx 2 years ago
I said, the juvenile T-rex, had feathers, then lost these as they grow. Many things can cause change in DNA, and who said it was drastic? It happened over BILLIONS of years. And thats it, you believe in evolution. But some people have different perspectives on how it works. Species that are not suited to cope with the ever changing planet die out, but sometimes mutations occur that benefit a species and this mutation is passed on to the offspring. Therfore the better equiped species thrive,
xxxHERPERxxx 2 years ago
Not small enough for you? Dude, there are some absolutely GIGANTIC Birds in the fossil record. Say hello the Teratorn - a positively HUGE bird in the fossil record, weighing in at 170 pounds and still flight-capable. You should google "Terror Birds" it should point you out to far larger, positively gigantic flightless birds. Today we have Ostriches, Emus, and Cassowaries. All three of which are HUGE flightless birds that are a direct tie tot he dinosaur lineage. Phorusrhacids for the win!
Xeletoph 2 years ago
To continue - We don't even NEED the fossil record to establish evolution. Even without the fossil record, we still have genetics and biology. If there was indeed no transition from dinos to birds, then explain sciences ability to practically reverse engineer chickens into dinosaurs? Using DORMANT genes, we can cause chicken embryos to develop tails, teeth, no feathers, and a hand on each arm. IF that DNA wasn't there, we'd not be able to reverse-engineer it, it simply would be available.
Xeletoph 2 years ago
Hmm... Cuz God made them that way. He doesn't always do complicated things. HE made DNA, so HE made animals to do that. Where did the materials come from that created the big bang? Tell me how this is a proven fact. If someone came up to you, and said: (and pretend he really has this power) I can take you to the past. You tell me how the universe came about, and I'll give you unlimited money for life, would you say that from an explosion, all of life, good and evil, time and everything was made?
birdboy93 2 years ago

People believe in UFOs because they want to believe, they are not looking for truth they are looking for anything that backs up their crazy ideas.
billflowers 2 years ago
I think creation has more evidence.
birdboy93 2 years ago
No, the opponents of The Expansion Theory renamed it the big bang theory in order to make the theory seem less plausible. The 'inventor', as you say, didn't call it that. It's the wrong term for the theory. No clear evidence? Are you INSANE? How about red shifted galaxies and star systems? That's one huge piece of evidence that the universe is in motion and has been for billions of years. Thinking the universe is only 6000 years old is like thinking the distance from Cali to NY is 27 feet.
Xeletoph 2 years ago
If God made everything, then what made God? And what made the thing that made god, and what is responsible for making the thing that is responsible for making the thing that made god? You can't say that everything can't come from nothing, and then claim that God made everything from nothing, God himself coming from nothing to begin with. Either there's a first cause, or there isn't - you can't have it both ways! And for the last time its EXPANSION, like a balloon, not an explosion like dynamite
Xeletoph 2 years ago
If I can't explain the Cambrian Explosion, then it means God did it, right? Yay for the God of the Gaps theory! If we can't explain, God wins by default! How convenient! The problem with your precious Gap-God is what happens when there are no more gaps in knowledge for you to slip God into? What happens when Science can replicate every single one of your supposed God's powers, and gives them to all human beings? What need is there for god if we have all his powers?
Xeletoph 2 years ago
What is with the idea of believing the universe had to be specially created anyhow? It's possible that the universe has always been, only it has transformed over hundreds and billions of years in order to reach the state that its in presently. When the universe EXPANDED, it simply brought space, time, gravity, and electromagnetism along for the ride. The entire universe is like a big balloon, and we are on its surface. There's evidence that it's actually a Multiverse, not a universe at all.
Xeletoph 2 years ago
See, to insist that everything has a cause, a meaning, and a purpose is the very same as insisting that a rock is sharp and pointy so a creature can scratch an itch on it. When in fact, the rock has no purpose in its shape, form, or location, it has no meaning in being there. We are similar, only we are different b/c we can create meaning for ourselves. Unlike a stone, we can determine our own purpose. We all feel influenced by different things. We all decide what we're influenced by.
Xeletoph 2 years ago
*feel* the holy spirit? Now, tell me, how can you *feel* a non-physical entity? We know the wind is there because we can feel it, we can measure it. But the body can also convince its self that it feels things. Somebody under a hypnotic trance can be told that they're about to be burned, but only touched with a Penny, but the brain believes that its been burned so strongly, that the body actually raises a welt at the 'burn site'. You've convinced yourself u feel spirits but you plainly do not.
Xeletoph 2 years ago
No, not because you can't explain it, because all the animals appeared the same time. The only plausible way. Unless you have a better hypothesis.

Xeletoph 2 years ago
You aren't a Christian, so you prolly don't feel the holy spirit. How do you know that it's not the God of the bible? How do you know God didn't create the Big Bang?
pspboy97 2 years ago
God did not create anything because he is about as real as the easter bunny. I LOVE this hippie bullshit.
BIGHYDRO 2 years ago 2
Exactly. It's easier to believe in someone to always be, then for there to be nothing and all the sudden, there's something.
pspboy97 2 years ago
You still haven't explained the Cambrian explosion. Why were there animals from all different phyla? That is not a good example. You CAN physically measure the distance between NY and CA. I never said the universe is 6,000 years old. There's more evidence to point that way tho. Astronauts expected there to be thousands of feet of dust on the moon from billions of years of asteroid impact. Instead, there was just a couple inches.
pspboy97 2 years ago
If you want to debate someone subscribe to, tooltime9901. And tell me how that goes.
LushesLou760 2 years ago
No, you wouldn't expect an intermediate between birds and mammals because they're a different family. Birds descended from dinosaurs, to which you'd expect a intermediate between Birds and Lizards, which we found long ago. Say hello to Archeopteryx .
And the big bang was not an explosion, the term "big bang" is what we call a Straw-Man. The emergence of the universe from a singularity is called "The Expansion Theory". Only ID-Iods call it the big bang.
