well, i'm about a 1700 player and i believe i can beat u both of you. Ur opponent is 1900 rated player is a bs...no 1900 player play such opening, to me you both like a 1300-1500 player
@lastlife333 hahahahaha says some wanna be keyboard warrior behind a computer screen go get raped by ur dad.. id fuck u up irl blocked btw so have fun typing to urself
@lastlife333 Yes, this is a traditional greeting phrase and term of endearment spoken by International Grandmasters when they shake hands just before sitting down to a match.
Terrible. If actual people played like this in real life, I'd make them stand in the corner and think about what they have done. Because they are obviously too stupid to play.
Not brilliant, but effective. The basis is a fierce king side attack that drives the king into the open where it is subject to attack by any number of pieces and pawns. I'm not rated as high as you guys and I played similar game. The method used to get the king out was different, but chasing it across the board checking and closing in was almost identical.
Its not even good, black just plays terrible moves all game, no clear opening with development of peices. When he does, he blocks in his kings pawn. Are u sure he was 1900 and not just 900.
Was blacks opening even considered semi half sorta minimal decent at BEST? i might be wrong, and i invented that descriptive rant, but if that opening has a name for black ide like to know it to see if theres any real theory for it.
black was a 1900 rated player?? with that horrible play having his queen and bishop locked in seems more like an 900 rated beginner.black beat himself and i dont see anything brilliant in that.
it was HORRID that was pathetic, u dont even know tht in chess the 2 move on first move for pawns only aplies to the first pawn played, not all of them.
@minethree58 really? are you sure about that? I have played my whole life the 2 square move for a pawn applies to the first time any pawn moves, and every game I have seen has been played the way I play.
Music is lovely, nice choice, its a relaxing one, if one is tired its not good but if one is energetic its calms down and makes understanding better...at 53 sec play wqn to E2, instead of pawn to h3, then knight to d6 check mate. he will obviously be tempted to place his knight on g4
black was playing a horrible game... move after move just worsening his position... also the sacrifice wasn't really brilliant. in fact, if black didn't go f7-g6 then you could play this game for quite a while longer, and even lose it if he would have got a grip on himself... black's position was not that bad. it wasn't good but it wasn't that bad either... players in the 1600-1900 elo level could not exploit the weaknesses of the black to their full potential, so this game could go either way.
Pretty good tactic but it would require some precise moves on blacks side. And if you positiond your pieces like the way you had them then yes i guess it was a pretty good night sacrifice. Even though ive never played someone who when i did e4 they did c6. I was thinking it would be c5-playing the sicilian but c6..I have never really seen that much. Andd that player was not 1900 he had to be 1700 at most. Anything that is to good to be true..usually is. I dot usually take sacrifices.
Why are some people so negative?? I get so tired of it sometimes. This IS a brilliant combination... at any level. I would be very proud of this combination as well! Thanks for posting this.
@rog944 no it isn't... a brilliant combination is what kasparov did vs topalov in 1999, is what fischer did in his immortal game in 1956.
this is a combination you would expect from an average player... in fact, if black would not have gone f7-g6 then this game could continue for quite a while longer and even go the other way since black's position was quite solid despite his sub par play...
@rog944 it took me 60-90 seconds to write the comment and 2:19 minutes to watch the video... now where's the wasted energy?
i just wanted to make sure that beginners will not see this childish combination as the epitome of what's possible in chess.
there are much more beautiful games out there, and as a master and a trainer i feel horrible knowing that most chess fans are not aware of the existance of such games, instead wasting their time watching this stuff...
@jingeshan24 Okay. If you are a truly a master player, then it would be foolish for me to ignore your evaluation. However, I am only an intermediate player, and honestly. I'm not sure watching a Kasparov match would help me much. I think it would just go over my head at this point. Thank you for the suggestion, though. Maybe I'll take a look at it. I'm trying to become a better player. So, thank you for opinion on this video. I did not know you were a master player.
@rog944 yep i'm a master player.now i'm not as active as i used to be but my rating is still around the 2200-2250 area.
i'm not really sure why are you afraid from watching a kasparov match. any recent match that has a great combinations in it is a healthy watch.
not only you'll increase your theorecital knowledge but you will also get fimiliar with the way great players think. most of my style was revolved around positional play but i took a loat of inspiration from kasparov, tal and fischer.
@jingeshan24 I just feel like there's a level of understanding and analysis that a world Champion applies to his games that most intermediate players are unable to appreciate. Kasparov was defeating supercomputers in chess until the late 90s. But, you obviously know what you are talking about if you are a master player. Would you say that you are just a naturally gifted player? Or can someone get to 2000 or higher through study and hard work, and above average intelligence?? Thx.
@rog944 i hope my comments changed your mind regarding your approach to chess... after you watch the 2 matches i recommended tell me what you think of them.
i remember watching the kasparov vs topalov match at the tournament at wijk aan zee (i was priviliged to attend the event as a reporter) and i recall being stunned for the first 20 minutes watching this combination evolving. the entire croud was in utter shock watching kasparov dismanteling topalov's position using that amazing sacrifice.
@jingeshan24 Yes, sir. Your comments are greatly appreciated. I will take a look at those games, and do my best to dig my teeth into them. I am pretty good at my local chess club here in Tulsa, OK. But it seems that most of the players don't do any homework at all. I am often able to beat them with just a few opening traps I've learned. Anyway, I am serious about becoming a better player, and I will definitely take a look at those games.
@jingeshan24 Wow, you're comparing my 1600 rating combo with a Kasparov Topalov game and saying that combination was better. I would assume that's a no brainer man. You should then be watching those games and posting comments on them not on a novice's game :-)
@SeanBernardino yes i am comparing the two, because you've been misguided enough to call YOUR combination a "brilliant chess attacking tactic" when it was quite generally a sub par move that any proper player could just avoid... i'm very surprised the black had an elo of 1900 with such horrible chess skills.
i was looking for novice games to be displayed to students in my class so i stumbled upon yours because of the misleading title. trust me that i've watched enough games in my life.
@jingeshan24 It was 'Billiant' for me as a 1600 rated player because I don't get to play through such combinations on the winning side often. Obviously it's sub-par for a chess trainer like yourself. No disrespect, just think you should spend more time finding appropriate videos before your class than randomly search on YouTube during a live class and try to slam dunk the uploader because you disagreed. If I used the word "Great" or "Lovely" would you feel better then? :)
@SeanBernardino the problem with your game is that it wasn't a great move at all. if black haven't took your knight this game could go on for ages. the beauty of a true combination is that the sacrifice you do is forced upon your appoment, and if he is not choosing to go for the sacrifice you at least get a much better position and perhaps a slight material advantage. i was simply looking for ameteur games on youtube because chessbase doesn't have any. that's why i stumbled upon yours.
He/she probably just missed it, since taking with the queen still offers protection even when the queen is chased by Be3, at it gives black great attack lines directed at the white king.
Agreed...the move combination is decent at best but not brilliant. He walked himself into the mate as white forces the king to take a "royal stroll". I am in disbelief that a 1900 would be so foolish to accept the sham sac. But, (sigh) I suppose I should give credit where credit is due so...well done.
Brilliant combination at the end. Whenever I someone attempting a sacrifice, I tend to stop and triple check to absolutely make sure I understand what they are trying to do. Again, brilliant.
I think this is a chess game composition, not an acctual game. 2..a6 didnt let the king ever going to a6. h6 protected the g6 square... another convenient move nd7 to f6 and back to d7 didnt let the king out... the queen never moved and the center pawn thAT gave the king some air... also didnt move=/. If this is an acctual game, the player is not 1900 or he is and he didnt want to win.
for a 1900 ranking player, Black was crap! why did he play Nf6??? better was: N35!! That would allow the black king to remain in the same place, and a possible trade for white's bishop without getting white's queen involved at all!!
that's what i called.... "helping to hurry up your own destruction to accomplish a 'brilliant chess attacking tactic' of your opponent"....neat.....hehe
Can somebody please explain to me 2. ...a6 ?! That might be good for attacking queenside, but far too early, in my opinion, especially when there is so much pressure on the centre.
Black had no idea what he was doing but you made a HUGE mistake as well. Why did you play h3? Very bad move, has no purpose and you left your d-pawn hanging! Don't be afraid about black playing Kg4, because that wont work once you castled.
Black could've taken it with his queen and you would be forced to play c3 or lose, allowing black to put his queen back to safety and pinning your bishop.
You should have played Nf3 instead: central control, defending the d-pawn and preparing to castle.
after Ng6 white is clearly better but black should play Rg8 and not fxg6
and then i think 0-0 would be a fine move, (Nf4 Bd5)
white played a fine game except for h3, and black just played terribly playing the worse of several moves on every move. (read every move including the first hehe)
That's a nice find, but the guy was really playing carelessly. First off, his a6 move right out of the opening was dubious; what was that supposed to accomplish? Then again, Be6 and then Ne7 by him were two weak moves in a row. And finally he accepted a sacrifice that led to either a substantial loss of material or forced mate.
If instead of 7 c3 you had played Qe2, and black had made another careless move like 7h3, you could have wrapped this up by playing 8 Nd6 giving smothered mate.
Ng6 was a nice move, although you have to admit Black was a pretty bad player. Internet ratings mean very little IMO.
After 1.e4 c6 2.d4 a6? 3.Nc3 d5 4.Bd3 Nf6?, you played 5.h3 (which after dxe Nxe should have lost a pawn, but he didn't take it) but I am wondering why you rejected the more aggressive 5.e5:
5...Ne4 loses a pawn
5...Ng8 6.f4 with a big space advantage
5...Nd7 6.e6! because if he takes it Qh5+ is mating
5...Ng4 6.h3 Nh6 7.g4 and now Black has 2 bad pieces
I agree. I can't believe he didnt calculate the advantage I had after black accepts the knight sacrifice. Let me analyze the variations you've specified and get back on this.
Maybe you guys shouldn't move rook pawns for no reason.

Who knows if your tactic was good or not...black was playing pretty terribly hahaha

for a 1900 ranking player, Black was crap! why did he play Nf6??? better was: N35!! That would allow the black king to remain in the same place, and a possible trade for white's bishop without getting white's queen involved at all!!

@snakekid33 What the hell is N35??

Can somebody please explain to me 2. ...a6 ?! That might be good for attacking queenside, but far too early, in my opinion, especially when there is so much pressure on the centre.

Black had no idea what he was doing but you made a HUGE mistake as well. Why did you play h3? Very bad move, has no purpose and you left your d-pawn hanging! Don't be afraid about black playing Kg4, because that wont work once you castled.
Black could've taken it with his queen and you would be forced to play c3 or lose, allowing black to put his queen back to safety and pinning your bishop.
You should have played Nf3 instead: central control, defending the d-pawn and preparing to castle.
noxure 1 year ago
@noxure I mean black playing Ng4 off course. :p
noxure 1 year ago
after Ng6 white is clearly better but black should play Rg8 and not fxg6
and then i think 0-0 would be a fine move, (Nf4 Bd5)
white played a fine game except for h3, and black just played terribly playing the worse of several moves on every move. (read every move including the first hehe)

Black were not 1900 player, even if it said that. More like 1200-1300s.

M8, give me a better choise for black than fxg6 :)
TheSchandorff 2 years ago
