  • Very nice. And only God knows whats inside. Let's love and not judge.

  • I domnt see the difference between a Christian and a Christ Follower cuz, quite frankly, there is no difference, the Christian is a Christ Follower and the Christ Follower is Christian. For when the term Christian was first used, see Acts 11:25-26.

  • Right, but the question is the motive and use of variant language. Labels, words, and similar things are made to communicate. The question is, "What is this person trying to communicate by using this?"

Hippies, Jesus People, and Emergent Church seem to be crazy with the term Christ but lethargic to the Person, as He defines Himself. Christ taught that people had to repent.

  • That's the way! I am a christ follower too!

  • I think what you've put up here only reinforces the original videos, which is fine. The whole point is that "Christian" doesn't mean "Christ follower" - it IS what matters on the inside in your personal relationship with Jesus Christ. :)

  • I can see where you get the idea that this video reinforces the originals, but it seems to me that the intended message of this video was to be aware of the divisive nature of labels. Some of my friends adopted the Christ Follower label to show contempt for those who still consider themselves Christians. The label "Christian" is not a bad label. It means "Christ-like" or "belong to Christ."

  • I failed to mention in my last reply that "Christian" does in fact mean "Christ follower." This entry appears in Strong's Greek Dictionary:

    5546. Χριστιανος Christianos, khris-tee-an-os'

    from 5547; a Christian, i.e. follower of Christ:--Christian

  • A little knowledge can be a dangerous thing. Thank you for clearing up the difference.

  • This is the best response to those videos. Excellent!

  • Thank You!!

  • AMEN!

    it's not a religon. it's a relationship.

LOSE THE LABELS!!! they only cause harm to the church. Church = priesthood of all believers

  • it's not a religon. it's a relationship.

    amen broder

  • God defines the terms of the relationship via the Scripture!!

Otherwise it's more like an imaginary friend.

Men are in rebellion to God with a religious ferver - and that includes the irreligious.

  • good idea.

    labels don't/shouldn't matter

  • I can't believe you took the time to make that. Secondly, I can't believe that people took to the time to post things about. Lastly, I can't believe I signed in to post a response. The orignals are very funny, and thought provoking. Yours... I'm speechless.

  • nicely done

  • Crunker911 did you know that the life, death, and ressurrection of Jesus Christ are the most historically backed up eventsin the world. More evidence supports them than the exitence of Abraham Lincoln; study it for yourself. (not only biblical evidence)

  • Start thinking for yourself.....denounce Christ and become an Athiest.

  • hey, there is evidence that god doesnt exist but there is also reason to believe he does, no one can know for sure he does or doesnt exist, its better to leave it at that and be an agnostic.

  • maybe youre right.maybe there is no god. it dont cost me anything if youre right. it costs you everything if youre wrong tho.

  • lol! That needs to be a quote!

  • can i quote u on that? definetly food for thought! i like!

  • i am thinking for myself. and i will rather die in the most painful way you can think of than denounce the only one who will never forsake me.

  • I didn't know it was possible to suck and blow at the same time, but this video proves it can be done!

  • Way to go, quoting The Simpsons there....

I can be really funny when I blatantly steal jokes from The Simpsons too!

  • What they are trying to state here is that dressing the part and playing the part is often just acting. God is not concerned with your clothes and your religious stuff. he could really care less about all that. In the end either you have a relationship with Him or you don't get into Heaven. Ever read, Depart from me i do not know you, in the bible.

  • How they would look at us, because of these videos. Come, saying that we are all about ourselves, how we don't care about others. It's misguiding others to believe, that we are not of God. Witch is not true.

  • no your missing the point, when people hear or see "Christians this is the perspective they get, this is only showing that there is more out there, we are all different. We should be more concerned with our relationship with christ than impressing others with our "Christianity"

  • I just don't like how they are labeling us, not for us, but for someone that don't know Christ yet.

  • it is all of our jobs to relay this message and lead them to christ. Let them know that loving Jesus is more than traditional religious services, it is about love and freedom.

  • Christians are not persecuted. You're the majority! Seperating church from state isn't persecution, it's protecting those that theocrats would persecute given the chance (and since the christians are the majority that would be the non christians they'd be persecuting.)

    Yesh, get some perspective.

  • Moistpup - First thanks for commenting. Secondly, I am not sure the point was that Christians are being persecuted. Also, never really tried to pull church and state into the thought process. Perhaps you menat to comment on a different video.

  • Been to China recently where all Christians are persecuted? Shot and killed execution style for just HAVING the Bible?

  • this video has more of a heart I can connect to. I am not afraid of being labled because its inevitable. we are HIS, therefore we can either accept it and live to be recognized as that and bring an external blessing to others or not. cool doesnt need to be evangelized. alot of zealous christians have good things to say, they make others look bad but its all part of the struggle of reaching the world for HIM.

  • Nice video, This "Christ Follower", concept is not a new one.

All the Apostles were called Followers of the Way, before they were called Christians. But, could this be a new wave of Followers; who do not want to be labled as Conservative Christian Fundamentalist?

  • That's a fine observation. I guess my concern is "who cares what you are labeled?" People need to stop seeking reasons to be offended.

  • I'm not offended by anything. The reason for my questioning the concept. Is just as it was during the Roman Empire A.D. 90-95 Christians were persecuted for not worshiping the Roman Emperor. As is today Chistians are persecuted for their belief in Christ. Seperating yourself from a radical group, is not offensive, it is defensive.

  • That's an interesting way to think of it and honestly, I never considered that notion. Still, I see no need to label for the sake of being "different" - either way, I do hope the church adn others who delve into labels are able to reach new people and bring them to know Christ. Thanks for your comments.

  • I like this. Macs are better, of course. But the Good Lord will be gentle with all those who've had to endure the purgatory of Vista. Bless you, my son.

  • hmmm... you've called a criticism of self-righteousness in itself self-righteousness? My whole goal was to take SELF out of the discussion. Sorry I failed to meet YOUR expectations.

  • Priceless. In trying to teach people to be more Christlike, Christ Follower is stereotyping and being judgemental. God loves us all and wants a relationship with everyone, and he needs all of us to reach everyone we can for him. We don't need to start exclusionary Christianity based on who is cooler or who is more PC.

  • Hypocrisy abounds.

The "I'm a Christ Follower" pieces were on target. The follower doesn't attack the Christian. He is merely lamenting (through parody, satire, humor etc.) the rules that MAN has put in place in order to "correctly" live in the footsteps of Christ.

The "Other Perspective" video calls for understanding yet in its mere existence shows offense and self righteousness to the original.

  • hmmm... Yes, I thinnk Christ did every single thing right . . . You must try to be a good person IN ADDITION to accepting Christ . . . there are no "empty" promises of Christianity and yes, the the labeling of someone based upon their beliefs is incredibly stupid. Thanks for commenting.

  • I'm sure Jesus was a nice guy and everything (if he existed at all), but why follow him. Is it absolutely necessary to follow in someones footsteps? Do you think he got every single thing right? Can't you just try to be a good person? I don't see any reason just to be a "Christ follower" but not be religious. Either you want all the empty promises of religion, or your want to be a nice free-thinker. This "Christ follower" middle ground is incredibly stupid.

  • Amen, dude. I frankly thought that those original Christ Follower vs. Christian videos were absolute shit, to be frank. Sorry if that offends you; I just don't know of any other word that would describe them accurately.

  • This work is wonderful. It is exactly what I try to teach in class. And that's maybe why I was fired three different times during one class year.

  • Finally, a video that conveys one of jesus' main teachings: Love one another as I love you. (not: Love only those who have the exact same beliefs as you do)

  • Amen Bro

  • I liked the background music. Great video! ^_^

  • You got it, man! KUDOS

  • This is even more awesome than the parody vids. Kudos to you. And Amen!
