I domnt see the difference between a Christian and a Christ Follower cuz, quite frankly, there is no difference, the Christian is a Christ Follower and the Christ Follower is Christian. For when the term Christian was first used, see Acts 11:25-26.

Right, but the question is the motive and use of variant language. Labels, words, and similar things are made to communicate. The question is, "What is this person trying to communicate by using this?"

Hippies, Jesus People, and Emergent Church seem to be crazy with the term Christ but lethargic to the Person, as He defines Himself. Christ taught that people had to repent.

I think what you've put up here only reinforces the original videos, which is fine. The whole point is that "Christian" doesn't mean "Christ follower" - it IS what matters on the inside in your personal relationship with Jesus Christ. :)

I can see where you get the idea that this video reinforces the originals, but it seems to me that the intended message of this video was to be aware of the divisive nature of labels. Some of my friends adopted the Christ Follower label to show contempt for those who still consider themselves Christians. The label "Christian" is not a bad label. It means "Christ-like" or "belong to Christ."

What they are trying to state here is that dressing the part and playing the part is often just acting. God is not concerned with your clothes and your religious stuff. he could really care less about all that. In the end either you have a relationship with Him or you don't get into Heaven. Christians are not persecuted. You're the majority! Seperating church from state isn't persecution, it's protecting those that theocrats would persecute given the chance (and since the christians are the majority that would be the non christians they'd be persecuting.)

this video has more of a heart I can connect to. I am not afraid of being labled because its inevitable. we are HIS, therefore we can either accept it and live to be recognized as that and bring an external blessing to others or not. cool doesnt need to be evangelized. alot of zealous christians have good things to say, they make others look bad but its all part of the struggle of reaching the world for HIM.

All the Apostles were called Followers of the Way, before they were called Christians. But, could this be a new wave of Followers; who do not want to be labled as Conservative Christian Fundamentalist?

I'm not offended by anything. The reason for my questioning the concept. Is just as it was during the Roman Empire A.D. 90-95 Christians were persecuted for not worshiping the Roman Emperor. As is today Chistians are persecuted for their belief in Christ. Seperating yourself from a radical group, is not offensive, it is defensive.

Priceless. In trying to teach people to be more Christlike, Christ Follower is stereotyping and being judgemental. God loves us all and wants a relationship with everyone, and he needs all of us to reach everyone we can for him. We don't need to start exclusionary Christianity based on who is cooler or who is more PC.

The "I'm a Christ Follower" pieces were on target. The follower doesn't attack the Christian. He is merely lamenting (through parody, satire, humor etc.) the rules that MAN has put in place in order to "correctly" live in the footsteps of Christ.

The "Other Perspective" video calls for understanding yet in its mere existence shows offense and self righteousness to the original.

I'm sure Jesus was a nice guy and everything (if he existed at all), but why follow him. Is it absolutely necessary to follow in someones footsteps? Do you think he got every single thing right? Can't you just try to be a good person? I don't see any reason just to be a "Christ follower" but not be religious. Either you want all the empty promises of religion, or your want to be a nice free-thinker. This "Christ follower" middle ground is incredibly stupid.
