For the ultimate power breakfast, nothing beats a good old fashioned Russian Breakfast Burrito! It consist of slightly cooked turnips, broccoli, & onions. With well cooked refried beans, scrambled eggs, & cheese. Use garlic & radish slivers instead of hot sauce. (Add sardines for a Mediterranean style.). All wrapped up in a tortillo. Wash it down with coffee. or have it in the afternoon & wash it down with beer.
Do they protein shakes keep you filled? Im looking to buy some protein powder soon, Most likely be taking them after workouts, but In the morning too before work ,
What I want to know is , if I can I then take the rest of the portein shake in a shaker cup, and have it during lunch? will it keep me filled for the rest of the working day Anyfeed back appreciated!
@01thrilla Hi you can absolutley take protein inbetween meals to keep you full up, the most important shake is the one straight after training and you can take 2 scoops then, all other shales 1 scoop as your body wont digest more than 25gs unless after training.
@Allmaxuk Thank`s for your kind advice much appreciated! Another thing I want to ask is a lot of protein shake vid`s, tend to show people putting ice cube`s in blender`s,why is this? : S If I buy some protein powder, what`s some good start of shakes, one could make for after my work out`s or for during the day?, quick and easy basic one`s nothing to fancy! Maybe some that you`ve made when you started out making shakes! Again thank`s for your feedback dude!
@01thrilla the ice is used to give it a little bit of thickness , almost like a Mcdonalds milkshake, so not really needed, all you need a is a suitable shaker you can get them from argos, tescos etc, but the protein you can get from me, Dinosaur Nutrition its fast becoming the best seller on the market and we have just signed a yet to be named premiership football team to the brand, so email me for a discount code.
Personally I find adding excess Glutamine to be pointless. Eating a diet rich in protein would negate the need for Glutamine or BCAA's for that matter.
@NonTimeboMa1a we all have our own point of view, but LGlutamine prevents muscle catabolism, fat and regenerate muscle tissue, its what they give to burns and aids victims to regrow tissue, so you dont have to add it but it will help. Ronnie Coleman Jay Cutler etc cant all be wrong
@Allmaxuk I agree that its useful, but burn and aid victims would certainly require more than you or I would. A complete protein rich diet should provide a plentiful amount of Glutamine.
And I can promise you that Ronnie and Jay are both using something far stronger than Glutamine of all things to attain their size.
I would also keep in mind that despite having a massive physique, jay is an idiot. I remember seeing an interview where he claimed his offseason bodyfat % was 3%.
@Allmaxuk whilst yes they will take more because they need more Glutamine is proven to be essential, in terms of Jay being and Idiot, Ive met him and he is far from that, when you reach that level every word and sentence is scrutinised and taken out of context, and take gear all day but if you dont eat right you will just be a fat blob monster.
Can women take this for breakfast also? I am trying to lose weight and I am working out with weights already. looking for quick easy recipes for on the go working mom ?
FYI: I am 5"1 160 pounds I just started working out again.
@NormaG1980 Hi there, this is perfect as you should be eating about 6-8 times per day to aid weight loss, also you can make this with low fat milk, fibre oats, that way even healthier, also how about instead of making a shake make a protein ball, 4 cups Oats,1 cup Low fat Peanut Butter, 1 cup low fat milk, 4 scoops of protein, mix in a bowl and refridgerate and then eat throughout the day in between your main meals, so you never become hungry and will lose weight faster.
@NormaG1980 Hi there I make 4, hence 4 scoops of protein, also i then take one between breakfast and lunch, another between lunch and tea, another after tea and another snck before bed, that way you will never be hungry so will aid your weight loss
Success! I just made one, except I also added in a banana. It was a very quick & easy process and it tastes rather good. Im drinking it as we speak. Thanks :)
@Calqulate when you train you break down protein within the muscle, so consume a protein shake within 45 minutes of training to replenish protein stores in the muscle, this will then promote growth within the muscles used,
i made this shake. However, the oats sink to the bottom (1 cup oats). I'm using just plain oatmeal, is there some other kind I should be buying that will blend better?
@Abhinand they should over a little time absorb and float, but I shake it everytime I take it so it never really happens to me, make sure your protein shaker has one of those little sieves in it to mix it up properly
hey im trying to get back into training i have gained alot of weight so i need to cut fat an build muscle i need help in general starting my breakfast and all these powders are new to me i used to take muscle builders and thats it now i have the losing fat factor which i never have done please help

200 grams of protein for a 200 lbs person is false. Too much protein can be bad for your kidneys. Protein is so over rated. All you need are amino acids. Protein is just the building block of the amino acid.
Hi there im still fairly new to training finding it hard to get into a routine but i am working at it. I want to build a bit of muscle i dont want to go over the top how much protein should i take in so that im just building a reasonable size not a body builder size? if that makes any sense lol any reply will be highly appreciated thanks
You are doing absolutely the right thing, one mid morning, one before training and one straight after training, and one in the evening, always add glutamine to it at least 5 grams so you are taking 10 - 20 grams per day, also put your creatine in there when you are loading up.
I cant stand wen people preach fitness but dont live it.. and if he does live it then he dosnt know wtf hes doing because he looks like one of thse dudes who goes to the gym and body never improves cuz his diet sucks

it is safest to start drinking protein shakes when you are at least 15 years of age. Since you are trying to lose weight i recommend you take a whey protein shake without carbs or just good carbs such as fruits. bananas work best because they slow down your metabolism and replenish your electrolytes postworkout.
Its got stuff in it that blocks the protein from absorbing into the body, as well as stuff that can boost estrogens (woman hormones) bad for building muscle
Only if you train in the morning , the main idea of it is to take it as a breakfast, and one that you can take with you as most people skip breakfast, muscle gains depends on how much you are training and your diet overall, you should be taking at least 3 protein shakes a day not necesarilly with oats everytime, the most important protein shakes are the ones you take before and after training, as its a drink its easily digestable so can be taken 30 minites before training, where are you based.
so u have too drink that before workout?how many time u have to drink in day and how many hour u have to workout?how long is it take to have muscle?can u tell me please
Yeah, get them to get lean burgers, take the skin off all chicken, make sure you boil and grill and not fry, you do not say what you goal is, so dont know if you want to loose weight or gain muscle, so give me more info please.
Hey Man, I Go To The Gym everyday , i dont have much money lol I have a blender and my parents buy frozen hamburgers and frozen chicken and stuff like that.. how can i eat healthy and benifit from it.. any tips ? Thanks :)
Hi Rob theres a number of things you can do, I dont like cardio so I do weights but sets of 15 with low recovery, that way I get a cardio workout but just from weights. Also eat more often ie spred your lunch out instead of eating it all together, so dont eat more just more often. Also you can cut carbs out at night, so eat them in the day. Also replace anything white with brown, bread rice etc, it goes through your system quicker. Glutamine is also good to add to your diet. Hope this helps
I just started a protein shake in the morning because I never used to eat breakfast and i wanna loose my beer gut. Aside from cardio and cuttting out the beer what else can i do?
Only if you use milk and let it go warm, also you should consume your protein within 50 minutes of training, as a rule as long as you keep it cool should be fine, they may be on about it seperating so make sure you shake it well before consuming, also adding glutamine is a good idea as well, this will boost your recovery and aid in body fat reduction.
quick question , at the moment im taking a mix of creatine and protein, on the tubs it says to consume within 5 mins of mixing, if i was to do this and leave it for a mid morning snack would it be ruined?
You are right people do not have time to ake a fancy brakfast hence you stick it all in a blender, done in the less than 90 seconds and you then drink on the way to work saving you time eating it in the house. In terms of the carbs, when dieting I either restrict the amount I place in or replace them with fruit.
Just wondering how the amount of carbs would sit with someone who is trying to lose weight, not gain mass...?
The oats are great, but can be too filling, but a small amount of them in this shake sounds great, and who has the time to stand around making a fancy breakfast everyday!
That's a good suggestion, great video. Also for other people that view this video, they could consider adding an additional 150mL yoghurt, blending additional fruit into the shake, or adding 2-10g creatine monohydrate.
Thats cool, the idea was that you could add whatever you want, I just wanted to show that with just minutes to spare in the morning there is no need to skip breakfast.

i do the following every morning since it saves my time:
60 grams of oats
150 ml of egg whites
1 scoop of whey protein
3/4 cup of milk
1 tbsp of flax oil or peanut butter
a whole medium banana
water
mix up for a 30 secs of so, drink in less than 5 minutes, set the for morning, clean up less than 30 seconds.
