I wish Honda would replace the PAX System tires in my minivan, I haaaaate it ! I spend thousands of dollars on tires. They don't last and are very expensive. When I bought the car they never told me that I have to buy ONLY PAX tires from Michelin. I spent about $1,300.00 every 30,000 miles on these tires !!
Wish you could have been a little more detailed. What's the cost to simply pull the TPMS sensors out of each wheel. With the sensors installed on the new wheels, any error messages on the dash? Also, does the navigation still work correctly? Any change in the speedometer? How about a jack handle and tools-aren't these required? Where are they mounted?
Pax system is a special tire design, when you run flat a special plastic ring that has been pressed onto the rim acts as cushion to continue driving and the idea is to drive to the nearest repair facility to repair or replace the pax tire. twenty five miles is the recommended distance to travel on the flat tire because there is a special gel inside to keep the plastic ring from overheating and damaging the ring and tire.
