@thegodthathatesall He definitely does it on the studio cut, but I think he just whims it when playing live (he's probably too tired). It's by far the most difficult part of playing this solo...I still can't do it.

Thank you again for this excellent video...it is the cleanest & clearest version I have seen in all of Tubeland.  This is easily one of Hammett's best solos, and I've been loving it for many years. It's hard for me to believe that I'm actually getting "good enough" to play solos like this & the No Remorse into. I always remember saying "when I can play that good, I'll quit!!" Well, I'm now realizing these solos aren't that difficult. Damned fast, but not hard. Practice practice practice.

@Jim21680 To those trying to learn in, I suggest saving the video as a local copy, and playing it through something like VLC or QT with the ability to slow it down. It helped me greatly. This is the perfect video to learn it.
