  • One thing that perhaps isn't well known, is the arranger Richard Maltby

recorded this arrangement under his own name in the 1950's. With the

moving guitar line, originally played on Baritone sax. I think I like

    this version better,

  • Dakota style.

  • @bobhhoffmann North Dakota style!

  • Those who like this number might be

interested in the fact that Rchard

Maltby, arranger of this tune recorded

an almost identical version for RCA's

    "Label X" subsidiary several years

    earlier, Difference? On Malby's

recording a Baritone sax plays the

low guitar string figures. Verdict? I

think Welk did it with a tad more of

    a lift. Both versions excellent.

  • What is this called again? Oh...that's right IT'S TALENT!

  • @GoldRushDutch you forgot to mention REAL music too-

  • They are jammin!

  • One thing to remember here too is that Lawrence was 65 years old here, did a great job dancing to this swinging tune which wasn't really his forte like polka or waltz.

  • Great music, the boys the band were really swingin!

Notice Andra Willis dancing in the crowd with that seven footer...basketball player perhaps?

  • This is a really swingin Welk song. One of the best clips on here. Thanks for the post. I'm addicted and I'm only 21 years old.
